I never answer anons, but I just had to answer this one.
If it was βjust a capβ why are the White House, MAGA accounts, and Fox News proudly using his image? Why are the very people who have spent years demonizing immigrants, spreading racism, and fueling hate celebrating it?
Thatβs the point.
You can argue about his intentions all day long. It doesnβt change who saw themselves represented in that image. It doesnβt change whoβs using it as propaganda. And it certainly doesnβt undo the message it sends to immigrants and to everyone whoβs spent years fighting for equality and equal rights.
And please stop with the whole βheβs just a dumb footballerβ argument. Being a footballer doesnβt mean someone is above criticism or unaware of the impact their actions can have. These are public figures with millions watching them, and their choices carry weight.
