Weird movie

This short movie is about two best friends who live life but one day Max finds out a HUGE secret which could ultimately change their lives forever. 

WILL THE TRUTH LET YOU FREE??? ??? 

Over the last few weeks I have been doing a group production of our own advert, Neve and Joe were apart of this as well. Joe was the director in this group advert and Neve was the producer of this. We did an advert about an energy drink called ‘Fruit Explosion’. 

Our research was about looking at adverts and how they produced them, this was helpful as it allowed us to think of some ideas we could use for our group advert. 

The skills I have learned are being able to edit the advert we shot, learning new camera shots I haven’t heard of before for example: a close up, mid shot, long shot, establishing shot. Also, whilst editing the advert I learned skills such as, sound effects, length of advert, slow motion and adding text to an advert or video. 

I feel as though I have produced a funny and unique advert which will make people laugh I’m sure. Also, I can tell that I have put the effort into the advert and I’m very proud of what I have produced, mainly because I am not the best with technology but this advert has some great technological features.

Reflective Journal

In today’s lesson with Marissa we have been working on our adverts and learning new skills such as text on adverts, sounds, etc. When doing text on the advert you need to press files, new, legacy titles. type in what you want to put in your advert then go on to your projects and drag the text onto your timeline. 

Sounds: Firstly you need to go on frees sounds on the internet explorer not google chrome. After you need to sign in so you can download sounds, it takes a while but it’s easy. Once all that’s done you can press the button that says download and at the bottom of the screen a box shall appear and where it says save click the arrow and press save as. 

In Faye’s lesson we have been doing theory work about films and whats apart of the films and the production. Such as genre hybrid which is when two genres collaborate in the one film. 

Definition – Platform games are when the designer of the video game can control what the game does, for example, jumping, climbing over obstacles such as floors, buildings and other objects in the way.

Extra research: Rocking Sky Trip

. This game was made by a company called WebLG. The year this game was made in was 2019.

. This game is manly targeted towards young people who like challenging games and the demographics of it are, 10-19 years of age, suits both male and female game. For everyone. Psychographics of this are people who like online games. This game is very popular for middle and working class people.

. The thing I like about this game is that the levels get more challenging and the dimensions used in this game are very detailed and I love that about the game. It could be an inspiration for my own platform as it shows all elements of what a video/ online game should be.

1st platform game: Rider

. This game was made by a company called HTML5. This app was released in 2017 and is a very popular game as well.

. Rider is mainly targeted towards teenagers who love addictive games. For people aged 13-19 years old.  Played by both men and women but mainly men as it’s a game about cars. This same is suitable for people who love to play car games and for people who get bored frequently and for students, adults/ working people. Targeted towards middle and working class people.

. Rider has everything that should be a platform game and it is a very good game to pass the time by when you’re bored. This game could inspire me to create a game which ticks all the boxes that a platform game requires.

2nd platform game: Donkey Kong

. Donkey Kong was originally created in 1981 July 9th, and it was created by a group of men called Shigeru Miyamoto, Gunpei Yokoi, Yoshiaki Koizumi, Gregg Mayles, Takaya Imamura and Masamichi Abe.

.  This game targeted to young children the ages between 10 – 19 years old, Donkey Kong is mainly played in arcades and on Nintendo’s and is popularly played by males. Played by students mostly and very few adults play Donkey Kong.  Also, played by people still in school secondary or junior. Can be played by all manner of classes but mainly played by middle and working classes.

. I am inspired by Donkey Kong because it’s the classic game that everyone has played once in their lives, and it’s important to a lot of people out there as this game can help them through struggling times. This game could inspire me with my own game that I shall be creating soon because it has showed promise over the years.

BRIEF 

I was asked to make a print advert which related to the topic at hand ‘Freak or Unique’. To make an advert which is inspired by our own interests and repents our personality. Also, take pictures of objects that we have bought with us to take photos of and use them to merge together to make a print advert. 

RESEARCH AND INSPIRATION 

I have created a Halloween themed printed advert and it is an advert for a fashion show. I was inspired by the objects i brought in and the fact that it was close to Halloween. I also thought that I needed to do an advert that hasn’t been thought of before. The two main objects I used were a skeleton and an angel broche, also my passion for clothes was a big part of it too. 

PHOTOGRAPHY

The skills I had learned in photography were so useful because it helped to create an amazing print advert. Such as, learning how to focus in on the objects and learning the different techniques used to make an amazing advert. Such as, leading lines, depth, framing, rule of thirds, etc. I made the advert by using photography to learn how to make an amazing advert. First, we learned how to hold the camera and put the SD card in so that the camera will work. Then we learned how to focus in on pictures and why it was important to focus in on pictures and get the full image and text if there is any. We were taught which ISO we had to use for different lighting and how that was important. Also what manual and auto was and the difference between them. 

PHOTO SHOP

Using photo shop was very helpful when it came to making the print advert as it helped to merge the two objects together and make the end result look realistic. The tools i had used and learned to do in photo shop and why we learned they were important were:  selection tool, healing brush, text, backgrounds and layers, adjustments, etc. The healing brush was to cover any damages. The text was to type text in. The backgrounds and layers were to help in case you made a mistake they were mainly used at backups. The adjustments were important as they were the key to making sure the pixels were the right amount, to control the brightness and the darkness of the picture. 

SLOGAN/ NAME 

I came up with the name as i related it to my passion which is fashion and my intention was to create a Halloween themed advert. I wanted to go with something modern but at the same time classic and not unexpected. Originally I planned to create an advert that suited me and suited my personality. 

FINAL PIECE

I feel as if I have done a great job, I made an effort to create a print advert and I’m terrible at technology and I found photon shop difficult but the end result is how i wanted it to work out. I related my end piece to the theme of Halloween and I’ve related it to fashion as well. So I feel that I have done a great job and I’m very happy with how it had turned out.
