Jaewook had a bad feeling about this. He hadn’t the greatest trust in people generally, especially women. But he had no proof that she knew anything.
She was definitely a last resort. But maybe she would surprise him. He cleared his throat, tracing his finger along the rim of his mug. Where would he even start? There was so much that he wanted to know - but how could he be so sure of what she knew? Jaewook pursed his lips, wrapping his long digits around the mug and bringing it to his lips.
"Tell me what you know." His demand was simple but challenging. His gaze met Kyungri’s, and immediately he began gauging her for any traces of dishonesty. He couldn’t collect information from the woman if everything she said was a complete lie. Reporters were schemy bastards, and he knew that from experience. But perhaps Kyungri would be different.
Jaewook took a tentative sip of his now lukewarm coffee, earning him a slight grimace. He cleared his throat, leaning back in his seat, arms folded over his chest. “Tell me everything. Everyone seems to think that you’re this fountain of knowledge, Park Kyungri. So surely you have a little something to offer that might help me towards finding the Origami Killer.” He quirked an eyebrow, challenging the woman. He reached into his jacket pocket to pull out his notebook and pen, clicking the pen a few times before readying it for anything he deemed necessary to remember.
Kyungri crossed one leg over the other and began to speak. "He, assuming it is a he, isn't working with the... usual channels that these things tend to go through. My sources... don't know much. Which probably means that he works alone or with someone who's completely submissive to his every whim." She took a long sip of the coffee, allowing the silence to drag on uncomfortably as she eyed up the cop. She almost purred at Jaewook, a small smirk on her lips. 'I do have one source though.... I don't know him in real life. He always calls from a disposable cell phone, tells me something about the killer. Maybe he's in on it. Maybe he's some guy playing pranks. All I know is that you have nothing else to go on but this. If you had another lead, you wouldn't be hear begging me for scraps of information." She spoke quietly this time, knowing that it was now or never. "Information is expensive, Jaewook...' She drummed her long fingers on the table. "I guess we should start discussing the price for me putting you in touch with my contact, hmm? And this is solid material. The guy doesn't come cheap." She smiled, just a little, enough to tease the man sitting across from her.
