marijackie au where mari and jackie end up lost in the wilderness for a week before making it back to the cabin and during that week jackie thinks she's going to starve to death with mari in the wild and so she confesses that she's so tired of everyone putting her in this miss perfect to suburban housewife pipeline box and that she wants do much more out of life than just being someones wife and that she doesn't even really like jeff and that she hated having sex with him and that shauna could have him anyways because she just found out that shauna and jeff were having an affair and that shauna hates her. and mari just has to take that in and re-evaluate everything she thought about jackie, including the fact that it sounds like jackie is more devastated at the idea that shauna and jeff cheated on HER with each other and then they make it back to the cabin just as doomcoming is happening and save travis from being fucking stabbed to death because lets be real those girls are fucking violent without inhibitions. and then they bond and hang out in that interlude between doomcoming and the jackieshauna break up fight. then when jackie and shauna have their fight, instead of sleeping outside jackie decides that if she's going to die in the wilderness she's not going to do it surrounded by people that hate her so she grabs her stuff and tells them she's leaving. and while she's doing that no one notices that mari follows her out. because if the entire group can turn on jackie at the drop of a dime what will they do when they eventually get tired of her attitude and thats when everything changes for them because jackie for sure thought that mari would go along with the group just like everyone else and then mari realizes that oh. i like this girl way more than wanting her as just a friend. and then they find the bunker and the hypothetical season one rewrite ends with them leaving the cabin in search of somewhere else to live because they've already survived in the wilderness together once, so why can't they do it again?
