Explaining the lore behind this; all though I have yet to finish Bottom Of The Pit, all you need to know about it is that Silver has spent a week isolated in her room talking to an imaginary Mephiles, trying to convince herself that she is not a 'bad' person and that she deserves to live because of how her symptoms manifest --- however, in the end, her imaginary Mephiles hates himself so much he convinces her to kill herself too.

In this 'Silvadow' AU, that's not even quite a 'ship' au and more-so just a People Are Complicated au; Shadow happens to stumble upon Silver's apartment just moments after she attempted to ingest paraquat (deadly toxin used in gardening, usually).

He stayed with her during her medical recovery, serving as her medical proxy, and then later took her to her house and stayed with her to ensure she did not kill herself again. That's the whole basis of this au, where Silver resents him the entire time for that, and attempts to 'get back at him' for not allowing her the release of death and her 'rightful justice of removing herself from other people's lives'.

In attempting to enact her very harmful revenge, Silver essentially infantilizes herself and at several opportunities allows Shadow to think her happiness can be present, but only while hinging on his being there for her -- eventually leading to him cheating on Sonic with her because Shadow is unfortunately very susceptible to bonding with people over near-death situations, where he feels their lives are in his hands. -- But they are caught, and Silver essentially utilizes her defense as being 'emotionally unwell' and 'manipulated into the relationship' to cause a huge falling out for Shadow with their entire social circle.
