sincerely the new he-man movie made me bawl my eyes out with adam sitting in his room and the walls covered in drawings while he contemplates life. i had my artwork hanging up in my room. i had to get rid of all of it to be more adult over the last few months, and i think that combined with other things from my family has killed a lot of my creative drive, so the whole idea of "recapturing the magic" really touched my heart and i need a minute to process it

Getting older is weird sometimes because like, when I was 12 I had a crush on Casey in TMNT 2012 and thought it was weird that people were into super buff 2003 Casey, but now at 24 I see 2012 as a child and am indeed all into 2003 Casey, and then I see people (I assume tweens) crushing on 2012 Casey and I'm like ???? but then I remember...I was 12 once too

in case anyone ever wondered why i'm so annoying about the racial coding of lego men, i just wanna point out that when i was a kid i distinctly recall my dad watching ninjago with me and asking if Zane is black and albino orrrrr. for the last 48 hours my job has been to act as a bouncer (note: i'm 5'3) and whack customers with a lightsaber with a custom hilt designed to look like an life sized version of the lego lightsaber hilt. also i jabbed one of my coworkers w it multiple times

working in a nerd space irl means that sometimes fandom discourse is served directly to your face and you can kinda only smile and nod because you don't know how to respond to the out of pocket fandom takes without also sounding out of pocket

sometimes i fear my art is bad and unmarketable because it doesn't fit any particularly common aesthetic but then i remember idk sometimes i wanna gnaw on my art because my coloring reminds me of fruit snacks

sometimes i think about how statistically there's a non-zero chance that someone at my job have probably bought legos from me and seen my art and read the No Wu AU and do not know that I am the same person

Trying to finish writing like 4 different chapters of the No Wu AU at once because I've been having massive writer's block when it comes to fight scenes...that's been the delay for 4 months. Fight scenes. Idk send asks or something

In wake of the CMF Ronin Lloyd leak, I'd just like to tap on the mic and say that Kai would be the best pick for a Last Ronin type storyline. Because that would mean: he failed to protect his family and friends, and it'd run direct parallel specifically to when he said "my destiny wasn't to be the green ninja, it was to protect him." He failed his destiny. Not only that but the pain of knowing that somehow Zane and Lloyd, who are expected to be immortal, did not outlive him. Still buying that Lloyd (and Tahu) though.
