Julius laughed. “As if, I’m one hundred percent okay with drinking human blood. It’s not like I go wounding helpless animals. A quick compulsion here, a drink there, and some vampire blood to cure them. Easy-peasy.”

He shrugged his shoulders as she leaned up against the wall. “ Yeah well tell that to my father who thinks that is the worst thing on the planet.”

Nala made a mental note of his change of subject. She’d let it go.. for the time being. Nala loved her brother and wished nothing but the best for him, but she couldn’t quite figure him out in one way or another. Something was different about him. “Aylee’s already had her daily dose of me today. She’s locked me out of her room for the night – the dreadful little thing. But, you on the other hand.. the night is still young.” She teased, a small smile tugging at her lips.

How did he get so lucky to have her all to himself right now? Out of both of his siblings that he actually talked to, she was the one that drove him absolutely insane.” Damn I should have stayed in my room and locked my door.” Rolling his eyes he began making his way down to the kitchen.

“Who said I was going to tell your mother?” Kol raised an eyebrow at him. “But honestly, you’re going to have to explain to your mother why you’re drinking blood and hiding it away from her because she honestly isn’t going to happy with you.”

He knew his parents would be mad with him. Yet he had his own secret he was keeping. “ Well if she doesn’t know then how is she going to be mad. It’s not like I keep it in the house so therefore she won’t find it.” 

“Yes, but I also can smell when you’ve had blood.” Kol chuckled. “I mean honestly you’re going to have to try and trick me with something harder than that. Kind of hard to trick an Original.”

Giving up he wasn’t going to get rid of his uncle anytime soon. He was just going to have to pray that Kol didn’t snitch on him to his father or mother. The last thing he wanted to hear was his father yell at him.” Fine what are yhou going to do tell your sister?”

“I’m always the bad influence of the family.” Kol chuckled before smirking. “Alright then, I’m definitely going to believe that one. You do realise I was only amusing you right? I can smell the blood.”

Kace looked around as he turned and placed his eyes back on his uncle. “ I smell blood where ever I go so that is probably nothing new.” They lived in a town full of vampires that didn’t really play by rules .

“Aw, you’re no fun.” Julius crossed his arms over his chest, pouting. “What does dog blood even taste like? It can’t honestly be better than human blood.”

His family was so dramatic as he rolled his eyes.” Guess you are going to have to try it.” He had crossed his arms over his won chest as he tried to figure out a way to get rid of the evidence in his back pocket. 

“Touchy today, are we?” Her quirked a brow at him, hiding a small laugh. Being the oldest of the bunch, Nala was prone to sticking her nose in places it didn’t belong – but with family, she believed all business was her business. “Kace, c’mon. I could smell that stale, nasty blood from the other side of the house.” She rolled her eyes, pushing at him once more. “Daddy wouldn’t be too happy if he found out, hm?” Who was she to judge though? Honestly. When she wasn’t acting like the sweetest of angels at home – she terrorized and drank straight from the vein any chance she could get.  

Rolling his eyes he almost wanted to reach out and grab onto her throat. Though he wasn’t big on hurting family. Even though half of the stories about his family was nothing but betrayal. “ Why don’t you go pick on Aylee or someone who doesn’t mind hearing your voice.” yeah she was annoying and older and a bitch, but when it came down to it. Kace loved her.

“You should call me either way, I’m the blood person. Even without draining all the hospital supplies.” Kol shrugged. “What else are you hiding?” He asked raising an eyebrow at him.

A sly grin spread across his face as he shook his head.” I can see why mom calls you the bad influence in the family.” He let his face go serious as he looked down and licked his lips. “ If you must know I’m hiding a female werewolf in my bedroom and dong spells on her.”

“Do you really think that I’m not aware of what you’re doing? You’ve got a guilty look on your face and I smelled blood about a mile away.” Hayley murmured, looking to her nephew with a concerned expression. “I don’t understand your shame in feeding from a bloodbag. It’s normal and okay. Better than feeding from the vein.”

There was one person  that Kace respected and that was his aunt Hayley. She had a way about making people listen to her. “ Yeah well tell that to my father. He isn’t too big on sucking down anything human.”

“Do you really doubt me? You think I don’t know all about the charming? The whole Mikaelson family is charming.” Kol rolled his eyes scoffing. “Next time, ask Uncle Kol for blood considering I work partially in the hospital. Secondly, you’re going to need to share next time.”

“ Oh how well I know.” He leaned up against the wall as he made sure he kept his back away from his uncle. “ Well If I ever get the privledge of being able to get the good stuff you will be the first one I call.”

Making a beeline down the hallway towards her younger sibling, she sensed the faint smell of blood in the air. Nala’s brows knit together tightly to form a straight line. “Brother, dear..” She began, taking another inquisitive step forward. “Now what is that you’re hiding from me?” Her blue gaze narrowing in on him, trying to nudge his arm to give in.

It sometimes felt like he lived in a girl’s world.If only his parents had another son that could tie up the score with the sisters he had. Turning to face her he glared as he shook his head. Being the youngest he was the baby and also the one who had to take shit from his sisters.” If I wanted you to meddle in my business Nala I’d have shouted to you name. I didn’t though.”

Kol narrowed his eyes at his nephew for a moment before sighing and letting it go. “I don’t know what’s going on with you, but I’m not sure your parents are going to appreciate you hiding things.” He smirked before pointing to his cheek. “If you’re going to drink blood then you’re going to have to be neater.”

He knew his parents would flip on him. His father was the sheriff and had a big no policy on eating humans. Strictly animal blood, but if only they knew. “ It’s nothing Kol really nothing you need to go home and tattle on me to my other about.” Kace had got his father’s looks, but his mother’s Mikaelson charm.
