YOUR STEREOTYPICAL MASCULINE SIDE

you love hoodies.  you love shorts.   dogs are better than cats.  it’s hilarious when people get hurt.   shopping is torture.   sad movies suck.   you own a car racing game.   you STILL played with hot wheels cars as a kid.   at some point in time you wanted to be a fire fighter.   you owned a ds, ps2, n64, or sega.  you used to be obsessed with power rangers.   you have watched sports on tv.   gory movies are cool.   you go to your dad for advice.   you own like a trillion baseball caps.   you used to collect hockey or baseball cards.   baggy sweats are cool to wear.   it’s kinda weird to have sleepovers with a bunch of people.   green, black, red, blue, or silver are one of your favourite colours.   you love to go crazy and not care what people think.   sports are fun.   you talk with food in your mouth.   you sleep with your socks on at night.   you have fished at least once.

i am shorter than 5’5”. i have scars. i tan easily. i wish my hair was a different color.   i have friends who have never seen my natural hair color.  i have a tattoo. i am self-conscious about my appearance. i’ve had/have braces. i’ve been told i’m attractive by a complete stranger. i have more than two piercings. i have/had piercings in places besides my ears.

EXPERIENCES

i’ve gotten lost in my city. i’ve seen a shooting star. i’ve wished on a shooting star.  i’ve seen a meteor shower. i’ve gone out in public in my pajamas. i’ve pushed all the buttons on an elevator.  i’ve kicked a guy where it hurts. i’ve been to a casino. i’ve been skydiving. i’ve gone skinny-dipping. i’ve drank a whole gallon of milk in one hour. i’ve crashed a car. i’ve been skiing. i’ve been in a musical. i’ve caught a snowflake or snow on my tongue. i’ve seen the northern lights. i’ve sat on a rooftop at night.  i’ve played a prank on someone.  i’ve ridden in a taxi. i’ve seen the rocky horror picture show. i’ve eaten sushi. i’ve been snowboarding.

HONESTY/CRIME

i’ve done something i promised someone else i wouldn’t. i’ve done something i promised myself i wouldn’t. i’ve snuck out. i’ve lied to death about where i am.  i’ve cheated while playing a game. i’ve ran a red light. i’ve witnessed a crime. i’ve been in a fist fight. i’ve been arrested.

DEATH AND SUICIDE

i’m afraid of dying. i hate funerals. i’ve seen someone/something dying. someone close to me has attempted/committed suicide. i’ve written a eulogy for myself.

RANDOM

               The female laughed quietly at the tone in the male’s voice, which clearly defined his feelings about being out in the winter cold. Turning on her heel to face him, then moved in front of him, which caused the two of them to come to a stop in front of a set of benches. Her eyes flickered down toward his hands, watching as he attempted to light his cigarette with slight amusement by the action. “It does, and you can at least have a smoke out here.” She mumbled, then took a step forward, cupping her hands around his to block the wind in order to help him light it. “Once you’re done with your smoke, we can head back. Sound like a deal?”

          “Bless you.” he thanked as an instant feeling of relief came over him as he tasted the long craved nicotine. Suddenly he felt much less crabby about the cold. He turned away from her, trying his best to keep the smoke off of her clothes and hair. “You don’t gotta rush, we can take as much time as we need.. well, until they send a search party after us.”

How time flies by when you are putting off returning something you weren’t supposed to have in the first place. It was the exact case for the younger Kwon who had borrowed his older brother’s laptop after ruining his own. Yet, in his defense, he was always told to stay on top of his homework to keep from getting behind because of schedules. He had an essay due and needed to quickly rewrite it since his original was lost on the now fried hard drive. Putting in the code for his brother’s place, Joon slipped in quietly in hopes to just set it down without being caught. He thought he was safe til he heard someone clear their throat, he was indeed caught. Letting an awkward laugh press up against his lips, the man turned to face the latter,”Oh hey. I needed this.”

          “You can’t be serious...” he’d spent a good chunk of his day searching high and low for his computer. He feared the worst had happened. He did have some incriminating things on there. He gave his younger sibling a good swat on the head before snatching back the computer. “Why didn’t you just ask, dummy.” He plopped down on his sofa, opening up the screen to be sure all of his files were safe and sound. His fingers froze, his eyes slowly making contact with Joon’s.  “What all did you see...”
