“so… hyung?” the sound of his voice feels foreign to his own ears, probably because he hasn’t spoken the past few minutes at all. eden’s gaze flashes down towards where they’re linked, if he isn’t still trying to grasp onto the blurry lines between friction and reality he’d be able to hear the beat of his heart—a cliché, just like everything he had experienced so far. “not that i don’t like you holding onto me or anything, because i do. somewhat. weirdly enough. but—are you good?” he asks, taking a peek at the boy’s face, curious.
this is certainly a dent in his plans. there’s a band meeting he’s supposed to attend soon, but he thinks it’s fine for him to indulge in this fun moment for a while. “are you in trouble? should we run away?” he questions, tone playful, always with that hint of teasing. “somewhere no one can find us,” he suggests, as if they’re still in this make belief scenario where consequences don’t exist. a mischievous smile plays on his lips, nothing short of an enabler.
( romcoms don’t always happen in real life. eden knows that much, but, he can have fun with the idea ).
there was a part of kota which would never forgive his dad for forcing him to not only move to the country, but to also attend university and study something he had absolutely zero interest in.
it was why he kept pulling this stunt, why he would either just ditch class or even leave in the middle of whatever lesson the teacher was currently talking about. why stay in a class when he wasn’t even paying attention and could be somewhere else doing something like taking a nap or even enjoying some ‘freedom’?
this time around he had a plan set and ready to go, though that was before he ended up having those plans backfire and he had bumped into the other male. now here he was, hiding away in an empty classroom which he hadn’t originally planned when he had left his seat and ignored the yelling of his professor behind him. usually in this type of situation he would be putting his flirting game on, doing his best to charm whoever he was with at the time, in this case the male he had just bumped into only moments prior, though this wasn’t the time or place.
at least not yet anyway. he surely would though once the coast was clear and he had time to gather his own thoughts.
only when he hears the voice from beside him does he finally turn his attention to the male, blinking a couple of times as his gaze eventually follows to where the other is looking. kota stays that way for just a few seconds before quickly letting go of the other’s wrist despite hearing the exact words that come from the younger male. “oops... sorry.” he says in a tone just above a whisper, still not trusting that his professor had given up that easily in such a short time.
it’s then that his gaze averts to looking at the other male, head tilting slightly towards the side while the corner of his lip curves up into a slight grin, nodding slowly at his own thoughts until he hears what the other says to him next which piques his interest a little more than it probably should.
“where no one can find us?” he questions with a low chuckle, leaning against the door while crossing his arms over his chest, gaze never once leaving the other as he does so. “and where exactly is this place at? better yet, why are you so willing to help me out?” kota questions the reasoning behind the other’s intentions, almost cautious of the other due to not really knowing much about the other. just because the male was willing to help him, didn’t mean that he wouldn’t use this chance to give kota up. he had to be on guard until he knew for sure that the younger wasn’t just trying to throw him under the bus here.
“what if i’m one of those ‘bad guys’ who can’t be trusted? hm?” he questions with a hint of teasing in his voice as he speaks, more or less a way to show the younger male that he really wasn’t a bad person.
