I'll remind you that Martin Luther King was Republican. The X-men were created by two Jewish men, and the rejection mutants suffered was a metaphore for antisemitism. Utopia was Israel. And for Cap punching nazis, Churcill was a conservative, and General Eisenhower, the guy who directed the war against the nazis, was a Republican president. He was the one who ended segregation in schools and sent the National Guard to protect black children from racists people who wanted to continue segregation.
