i understand where your misconceptions are coming from, but to reiterate my previous message: i don’t write adult x minor ships. ever. i don’t see how shipping bede and gloria is ok, but writing an x reader where the insert character is also the same age is suddenly wrong.

if someone takes the time to make my insert character, [name] / ‘you’, who is never portrayed as an adult, an adult... that’s on them, not me. you’re taking the term ‘x reader’ far too literally, but i do get where you and others would get that belief.

i don’t write nsfw of underage characters: ever. nor do i pair them with adults in any situation within my fics. because of this, the message you’re trying to convey isn’t relative because my content is not what you’re saying it is.

whoever personally inserts themselves (adult x minor) in that context is in the wrong, not me.

thank you for giving your thoughts; i know a lot of people still disapprove of x readers + the otome game community in general because of issues like these but we’re really not doing anything wrong. we don’t sexulize minors or put them into disgusting scenarios like you all say we do. obviously, yes, some do (like how you’ll find gross ships in any fandom, unfortunately)... but not everyone.
