everything about him, his look, his outfit, his face, his voice, how they somehow tried to make him do more in the separate ways dlc, and then just made him look even more useless?
I don't like the guy they cast for his voice, and that doesn't mean I personally don't like him, I just don't think it was a good decision? Whatever his name is Craig or whatever, I'm sure Craig's a good guy, but holy smokes it's almost if not worse than Neil Newbon's russian accent playing Nikolai in the re3 remake lmaooo
also, what's with the colour palette? What's with the lack of gloves? What's with the hair that's for some reason, super blonde, and just looks like he's having a mid life crisis and went to Boots? It looks so fake. And yeah, re5 Wesker had straw for hair, but that was 2009 and he also looked really gay and awesome. Re4 Wesker still looks and is gay to me, but he's the kind of gay dude that would ignore all the work trans people and lesbians have done for the community and spew LGB without the T shit. I mean, he pronounces Luis as Lewis. Re4r Wesker would totally dead name people just to be a dickhead.

uhhhhhh Wesker is not my FAVOURITE favourite character in resident evil but he does mean a lot to me even now and I think I figured out why I find every 9/10 Wesker fans annoying

I think the 'himboification' of Wesker goes too far, and this isn't anything unique with his character (look at Leon in resident evil alone) I do think it irritates me more because of what's he's actually done and how he functions as a villain.
I see a lot of people post silly shit with Wesker, and the tsum tsums stuff, and I don't think it's inherently bad. I know I sound like a bitch right now, how dare people have fun with a favourite character of theirs, scandalous, isn't it. But I think some people consume only that kind of content surrounding his character, it dampens what he does as a villain..
My biggest gripe with Wesker (I'm lying my real biggest gripe is re4r Wesker which I might actually write about soon too) is that a lot of his fans, even a lot of people online I see ship themselves with him, seem to just... not understand him? At the very least, underestimate how heinous his actions were and also downplay a lot of his flaws, which in my opinion are what make Wesker interesting, debatably more interesting than some main re protagonists.
Wesker throughout his life could have had it all. There were multiple times where he could have left umbrella, and made a better life for himself. Well, he was programmed to look out for Spencer. But he did, and then he also killed the man. At that point, in 2006, nothing was really holding him to umbrella at that point. Birkins dead, he leaked umbrellas files to the public, and he killed Spencer. I truly believe at that stage, he could have gone off the grid and lived the rest of his life without Chris and Jill meddling in his evil plans spooky doo style. But why doesn't he do that? It's his arrogance. And the fact that Wesker is somehow so intelligent and yet consistently shoots himself in the foot until he's shot in a volcano is what makes him the most interesting characters in resident evil!
But it feels like a lot of people ignore that aspect of his character. if it wasn't blatantly obvious, yes, I love Jill. and I've been told By Wesker fans that they don't like her because she's boring and doesn't do much.
Jill Valentine. Jill? The other protagonist besides Chris that spent all their time with him during stars? Same Jill that was in Umbrella Chronicles? Same Jill Valentine that sacrificed her life to get brainwashed and tortured by Wesker for three years??

I'm not saying you have to love Jill or even like her but if you're a fan of Wesker, and you're calling Jill boring, I'm sorry but at the cost of being judgemental I'm going to have to assume you just don't know the story of the games. And I'm not trying to gatekeep fandoms by saying you have to play, but I spent most of my secondary school computer science classes reading resident evil wikis and forums because they blocked Reddit and tumblr on the school network I'm sure you can too.
And then if you don't care about the story, why care about Wesker? He's another basic blonde white guy, and there's hundreds of them! He's not even that handsome! people who yume ship or self ship with him making him a good partner genuinely makes me cackle to myself. Albert Wesker? I mean, you do you, but if you want a muscular guy who cares about you I think you just want Chris redfield xddd
anyway, will I re read anything I wrote before I post to make sure it's even a little coherent? absolutely not.
