Nobody talks about how embarrassing it is to have your guilty pleasure be Falling In Reverse’s music… Like not only is Ronnie a degenerate but FIR’s music is so corny sometimes if not always.. And even worse that the cornier the song is the more joy I received from it.. This happened to me in early 2024 and now I accidentally remembered about it and I’m back in the loop again.. Nothing will ever recreate the feeling of watching a small sum of FIR’s music videos I had downloaded on my old MacBook (when the internet was turned off at night to save money) and using the music videos to replace the very concerning feeling of despair I felt of not having internet (because I didn’t have anything to distract me from my own thoughts, and FIR was my only choice, because other bands didn’t catch my interest and couldn’t soothe me as much as FIR did.. And, well, Shining was just gonna send me down a deeper spiral so I wasn’t gonna risk it) Like there’s this weird euphoria I get from singing along to their songs and it makes me cringe but it’s one of the only situations where I can say: to be cringe is to be free to myself and not feel like I’m lying to myself.. This is a really weird rant/ramble but whatever (Also I only listen to The Drug In Me Is you and Fashionably late albums because I physically can’t force myself to listen to anything else from FIR 😭)
