Nyan has a tumblr?

I, have never been perfect. And ESPECIALLY when I just started playing on Sept. 2, 2019. so here's a collection of tales of ridiculous nonsense I did in no particular order. Beware spoilers!

1. I walked through all of ARR and its patch quests.

Why? How? Because I just... didn't want to use the chocobo! Is what I'd like to say. In truth, I completely forgot about mounts- in general.

The mount was mapped to my hotbar. I saw others using their mounts. And yet, I just, didn't remember: "Oh yes, I have a mount too that would make getting around faster." And no, I didn't use the courier service either. I only remember I had mounts when I was told the Black Chocobo, the one you get from Heavensward and they told me it could be used to fly and after trying to figure it out, an explosion went off in my brain that... yeah. I had ANOTHER chocobo I could use. And that all mounts could actually fly (and I didn't know previously certain mounts could not before it being changed.)

So... From Limsa Lominsa to Ishgard, and every task in between. Hakan Ster walked and ran the entire way through! Only taking the nearest Aetheryte.

2. I did not play another job outside SMN/SCH until Stormblood.

I was just having too much fun with Scholar and Summoner! I entered the game in Shadowbringers so the level cap at the time was 80. I had gotten to Bardam's Mettle, and after I maxed out Scholar and Summoner- who share an EXP bar by the by- before deciding: "Maybe I should try another job!" In particular, ACTUALLY playing another. And do you want to know the job I decided to try and level in earnest? White mage. Because I'm a healer at heart. But I didn't even get it to 50 before I just missed the fairies and carbuncles so much and kept going through MSQ on a capped job. I had the road to 70 buff, so of course I was far from the only person to do this. But it was funny that I couldn't even recognize other jobs in the game because every time I entered a dungeon and saw the "Z" looking icon I was like: "What job is that? Oh it's a gunbreaker." Then just forget in a few minutes of doing the story.

3. Hakan Ster was not my first character.

The first character I ever created was a hrothgar named: "Thunderous Force" and was an archer- Mother Miounne called my ass out asking if it was an "Amusing Alias". Which, while at the time I didn't know was a canonically accurate Roegadyn name, was silly now that I look back at it. I didn't get past level 10 before I deleted the character and started over- with Hakan the Arcanist because I literally did not know you could unlock other jobs and just.. play them at your leisure.

4. "Scholar's 1-2-3 combo".

So, when I was a little baby, and this was during Shadowbringers, so Scholar's base GCD for their single target spam was a 2.5s cast with a 2.5s recast. They had(and still do at the time of posting) ruin 2 which was instant cast, and energy drain.

What I would do, would case Ruin 1/Broil -> Ruin 2 -> Energy drain thinking that was "Good burst damage" (It was not). I didn't know how the GCD worked in XIV, in truth at the time that meant it was a pitifully small damage gain, and Ruin 2 was meant for "weaving" which I didn't know was even a thing. ...I did this all the way up to patch 5.4
