it’s not often karai is HIT so easily. how did she not expect to be hit? how did she not hear it coming? right after she felt the blunt force make contact with the back of her head, she felt her shoulders dropped in agitation. i’m never going to hear the end of this.

unpopular opinion but i still think 2012 making k*rai the turtle’s long lost sister was fucking stupid and took away a lot of what made her dynamic with leo in particular interesting. I also think it greatly took away from the Shredder but thats neither here nor there

⚔ ❝      a truce is what your proposing.         ❞ he stated, raising a brow as arms crossed, claws flexing out slight to idly scratch at scales. the thought was interesting  –  it would save trouble down the road between the two clans  ;  karai’s own personal and his own hamato clan. it was a good idea. 

it wouldn’t last. they both knew this but  . .  for as long as it could it would be good.

     “You have my word, Hamato Leonardo-San, that I will uphold my end of the truce until it is void or I perish.” She gave a curt bow to signify their acceptance of terms. “If the time comes where you need to call upon my forces to retake the Foot, I shall offer them.”

⚔ ❝        that it did. i can accept things within me after my pride takes a seat i can simply cope with the fact that i just have to be careful. as you said, if i didn’t hold my morals to the high standard i try and uphold   .   .  we could have taken over together — then you might have cut my throat soon after.        ❞ he snorted.

     “I suppose you shall never know the true answer, will you?” Now she was just being coy. Perhaps she would have killed him, perhaps not. She never expected him to be in the Foot very long anyway. “...I shall make you a deal, Leonardo, since you have impressed me today. So long as you stay out of my affairs, so shall I abstain from yours.”

⚔ ❝        perhaps. i don’t believe myself above the rest  —  or anyone. where i currently stand i wouldn’t lie and state i knew much of anything at the moment. everything is all over the place thus i would suggest i know less than i had believed.        ❞ he murmured, frowning as he crossed his arms while his shell leaned on the wall.

❝         so i suppose, yes, your words hold truth to them in that regard.          ❞

⚔ ❝        THE MASTER   set that i was his chunin and until he decides otherwise that’s how its going to be.         ❞ he snapped, arms coming in front of him as his own temper flared, whitened out eyes narrowing dangerously as he watched her carefully. he had recollections of attempting to outrun the woman before and having some difficulties. she was absurdly fast but he wasn’t going to allow her to bring him down. 

he was the master’s chunin. he would prevail. 

⚔ ❝        karai     —–   i’m serious.           ❞ he warned, eyes narrowing as he tensed up, shoulders raised as he looked away for only a second, gritting teeth. he didn’t like this. he didn’t like the implication that he had all that rage, that violence and potential to become something like he had before. if he had the stuff so to speak to use his swords to kill rather than protect.

he scowled at her words, looking back to her with a frown, not believing her for a moment. 

❝       you don’t believe   –  or hope that would have been the case. you only want the foot clan for yourself.           ❞

     “Perhaps, perhaps not.” She began pacing the room. “Your father himself said it, I desire to return the Foot it’s honor. It’s purpose, it’s way. Is that so unjust a cause? For one who believes he has all answers, you seem to be quite unable to see beyond your own mask.”

⚔  a small  hiss  leaves the turtle before he could stop it as karai tugged on his mask, pulling away from her.

❝        no. i don’t believe that. my father instilled values before he went wayward. i never had that  . .  side  of me before shredder took me for whatever he wanted me to become for him. either way he   FAILED.          ❞

     She chuckles. “Are you so naive that you think you never had that in you before? The fact you fell down that path at all proves you always had it somewhere. However small you may believe.”
