If you missed the blooper that went up yesterday, in which xz stuttered for 9 hilarious seconds while wyb looked on with a doting smile after the journalist led with a suggestive “Since you’re so close with each other…”

Here’s a video taken the same day, where an equally flustered xz answered a question on how to let someone know he likes them. It’s infamous for how many longtime fans came to a sudden realization that he’s seeing Someone, whose presence made him self-conscious.

A few people pointed out that his word choice of “sharing tips” instead of “suggestions” implied it’s based on successful personal experience; while others noted wyb’s ears flushing bright red.

For example, Adam Ellis drew a pretty good horror comic about the ghost of a creepy nurse (it was not graphic in any way, and was fairly tame) and posted this DM he received about it on his Twitter:

For any concerned, Adam Ellis put absolutely no id’ing info on this post, so the person who sent it is safely anonymous. But I honestly hate this so much. If you are THIS afraid of a drawing of a creepy ghost, you should not engage with media that is LABELLED AS A HORROR COMIC! Many people with anxiety (including myself) create horror as an outlet for our own fears–Ellis even discussed the fact that his comic was tied to his very real fears of doxxing and harassment by certain fans/enemies online. Do you have any idea how genuinely horrible it feels to be told “this thing you created for fun/to vent caused me direct and terrible mental damage?” 

Example: I love Horror as a genre, but I have certain types I can’t tolerate as well. I started listening to The Magnus Archives, which is a fantastic podcast, well put together, and utterly fascinating. But I was listening to it in December when my Seasonal Affective Disorder is at its worst, and I realized it was negatively impacting my mental health. My anxiety and depression were getting worse. So you know what I did? 

I just stopped listening to it. I said “this is really good but right now it’s not really good for me so I’m going to move on to other things for the time being, maybe someday I’ll be in a better place to handle it and come back but for now I’ll just go watch The Haunting of Hill House again” 

THAT’S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO. Step away. You do NOT need to tell a content creator about the problems you have with their content when it is WELL MARKED and your problem is I DON’T LIKE THIS GENRE. 

I get that some things hit you hard out of nowhere, unexpectedly, and yeah that can really really suck. But it’s STILL not the content creator’s fault.
