Ah, Kuroni was so cheerful— Touya had to pull himself together not to let the tiredness mirror in his eyes. It wouldn’t be right of him to worry the younger boy when the brunet came all the way to see him, even bringing cake along. Besides, it had nothing to do with Kuroni anyway. Absentmindedly licking his lips, the knight smiled a little wider, chuckling under his breath before he reached out to ruffle his kitten’s hair.
"It’s good to see you again."
"Busy travelling again, huh?" Taking a step to the side, Touya motioned his friend to step inside. Today was a pleasant day, but he still didn’t want to keep his friend standing around like that. "You can put the cake on the table in the living room. I’ll follow with plates in a sec— Do you want coffee, tea or hot chocolate?"
Be a good host. Avoid questions about yourself. Yeah, he could do that. His kitten deserved a good welcome without having to worry about anything or anyone.
The younger couldn't help but give a cheerful smile when the knight reached out to pet his head, giggling quietly under his breath as he nuzzled into the hand before hugging the taller male happily and humming into the warm feeling he had that radiated off Touya's person. He enjoyed seeing Touya the most nowadays, and to come home from a journey and share cake and talk to him was like the best idea in the world to him considering that he was someone he enjoyed being in the presence of.
"Yeah, I missed you a lot, Touya!"
With that, he stepped inside the cabin once Touya motioned for him to come inside, carrying the cake he had been holding under one arm pit as he waved to Bluebelle who he noticed had jumped into the back of the couch. "Hey, Bluebelle! I came to see you all again!" he greeted the pokemon, petting the top of her head gently as he made his way to the couch and set the cake on the small table in front of the couch in the living room. "Uh... I'd really like hot chocolate if that's okay!"
