さいきんコミュニティについてすごく考えるところがある。きっかけはロシアの戦争とfoursquare super user meetupだった。

親が転勤族だったからか今まで特定のコミュニティや地域に帰属意識を持ったことがなかった。パスポートとクレジットカードさえあれば世界のどこにでも行けて素晴らしいと思っていた。(実際にはどこにでもは行けないのかもしれない)

もし自分が所属しているコミュニティ、日本が戦争を始めるなら、特に帰属意識もないし、日本国に生まれたことを誇りに思ったこともないし、命をかけて守る気にもならないから守りたい人たちで頑張ってください、という気持ちだった。

でもみんながそんな気持ちだったら相手はどこまでも攻めてくる。必ずどこかで誰かがその理不尽に命をかけて立ち向かわなければならない。そして命をかけて立ち向かった人たちは、頑張ってくださいと言っていなくなった人たちをどう思うだろう。自分が命をかけて守ったコミュニティに、後から戻ってきた人たちを同じように受け入れることができるだろうか。

コミュニティの一員である、一員として認めてもらうというのはそういう合理性を超えてコミュニティのために貢献することなんだと今さら気がついた。
