How fitting is it that my birthday falls on

YOU’RE WRONG

1 in 4 people suffer from mental illness so chances are someone you love is struggling with it.

My biggest regret is not taking the time to learn what my bubby was going through when I found out he had been diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Maybe if I had I would have known how to be there for him the way he needed me to be and who knows, maybe he would still be here.

What I do know is you DO NOT want to feel like you could have done more after someone you love takes their own life.

It is everyone’s responsibility to educate themselves on mental health. We ALL have to work together and normalize talking about mental illness to ditch this stigma so that anyone struggling with their mental health will know that they aren’t alone & will feel comfortable asking for help.

To the people currently battling mental illness I want you to know that

YOU ARE STRONG AS FUCK

YOU ARE NOT A BURDEN

YOU -DO NOT- HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE
