𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒄𝒆.

THE BATMAN feels brittle despite being solid blood and meat. Like his frame knows he’s out of place and out of his element despite how the air and shadows seem to swim around him naturally. Calling him deeper into the throes of it and away from the light pale glow of the bright element clutched in his grasp. 

     [ ₁ ] He didn’t like it. 

“ Hm. “ His dissent and refusal grunted into one. Making himself content with the light. Cautious of whatever else her magic can inspire now that he’s not in GOTHAM. 

Somehow, someway, his feet finally settle.Narrowed gaze counting and considering every step. The portal having closed behind him in what already had felt days ago. 

Brow arched at the question. Unquestioning as it was. His feet trailing behind her. His senses adapted and took in the things that made sense to him. Those that felt human.

     [ ₂ ] Of earth, at least. 

“ I’ve met worse. “ He explained in its simplicity. “ You either have some need of me. Or I’m of some use. “ As she was to him. Event hough he might be stupid or smart to assume that he’s far lower on the scale than she would be in terms of mutual necessity. He’ll have to wait and see. 

His expression contorts into displeasure for a moment. THE DARK KNIGHT was a creature of comforts to some degree. The mask was part of that. But this was her world and despite the sense of satisfaction that BATS can be feared here too, he understands the warning for what it is. No matter how he detested the prospect. 

A huff and a tug and THE BAT is no more. His cowl hangs from his hold and is tucked away somewhere beneath his cape and when hand lifts again, the bulb illuminates his features. Pristine nose and cheekbones. And deeply sharp and intense steel blue pools staring right at her. 

“ Do you have a change of clothes, @krukowymag? “ 

𝕿𝖍𝖎𝖓 𝖇𝖗𝖔𝖜 𝖙𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖘 𝖚𝖕𝖜𝖆𝖗𝖉 𝖇𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖋𝖑𝐲. Violet gaze is piercing, staring back at him awaiting his decision to obey or not. It mattered little to her. She was used to the danger of this world. She knew how to navigate it and even speak her way out of trouble if need be. There were lesser forms of magic that could guise her well enough as well that he did not have access to.

No matter the world, wandering around in a suit with a bellowing cape and large bat ears was far from discrete.

I could almost take it as a compliment, @worldsokayestdad.   ❞ Yennefer shifts her weight to one leg. ❝   It won't be much,   ❞ she says, but the clothin items procured were far from anything casual. The color scheme matched hers as well as it did his it would seem. The fabrics a deep black, the doublet embroidered with intricate designs across the breasts, shirt a simple white and the trousers of the latest Beauclair fashion.

She thought of another who'd have instantly begun to complain at the sight of the fabrics and she wondered if he too would prefer leather and steal to silk and wool. The memory is quickly set aside.

❝   I will hide if your dignity needs it.   ❞ She on the other hand, had little shame in nudity. She'd witnessed an assortment of bare skin in her near century of life, both romantic and of the scientific nature. It had little to no effect on her or fragile sense of womanhood. She'd seen it all. Even collected pieces of varying species to keep in her study.

The earth which we tread. The fire which does not go out within it. The water from which all life is born and without which life is not possible. The air we breathe. It is enough to stretch out one's hand to master them, to subjugate them. Magic is everywhere. It is in air, in water, in earth and in fire. And it is behind the door which the Conjunction of the Spheres has closed on us. From there, from behind the closed door, magic sometimes extends its hand to us. For us. You know that, don't you? You have already felt the touch of that magic, the touch of the hand from behind that door. That touch filled you with fear. Such a touch fills everyone with fear. Because there is Chaos and Order, Good and Evil in all of us. But it is possible and necessary to control it.
