I don’t know how to express this in a tone that’s gives it the right meaning, but I will try. The tragedy in Venezuela and the state of the country would not reach me in the same way if it wasn’t for Wilbur’s updates. I didn’t follow her before this.
I don’t know, just thankful she shows what’s happening behind headlines and also seeing the shift in her state makes me sad since it reflects the situation for the people in Venezuela more broadly as well. The way she helps out has real meaning. So impressed she steps up and digs in and helps out as she can. We know they have always sent money and been invested in helping especially relatives how they can, this is just another level.
How hard it must be for her, but likely also grateful she can be there in person and make a difference. Must be so difficult also to be one of the ones that has the possibility to leave and live comfortably. At the moment she manages to stay and help out. I have no idea how I would react in a situation like this, or how long she can stay. And the guilt she might feel if she leaves. She is strong and I hope she has support in handling this situation. Big trauma also for her.
And that fkn regime and also US doing nothing. We are we like this in the world 😭😭😭
