No, focus!

He should probably run or fight for his life. The man before him would definitely not show mercy, that much was clear. His eyes were cold and devoid of any compassion. Quite the opposite of Nanami who was known to care deeply about others, even if he didn’t show it sometimes.

“Hey! Cat got your tongue?”

Toji furrowed his brows in confusion because the sorcerer had been staring at him for a good while. Nanami snapped out of his trance and tried to think of any kind of response. Before he could open his mouth, the man laying at Toji’s feet whimpered, fighting for what’s left of his life.

“Huh? Oh!”

Annoyed and slightly surprised, Toji looked down at him. His lips stretched into a taunting smile as he put a foot up on the man’s head and leaned down.

“Wow, I did not expect you to come back from this. Good job!”

He mocked him and rammed his sword in his chest, without hesitation. Finally, the man stopped struggling and lied still underneath Toji’s foot. He looked at Nanami again and slowly made his way over to him. Nanami was slightly trembling. That man killed someone in front of his eyes, yet he couldn’t help but admire his chest and waist again. It was as if Toji enchanted him. His body looked like it was carved by Michelangelo himself. What would it take for him to be able to explore every square inch of Toji? How far would he have to go?

Purposefully invading Nanami’s personal space, Toji leaned forward to whisper in his ear.

“Now, where were we?”

“I-”

What was going on? Never in his life did Nanami feel this paralyzed by someone’s presence. Was he going to die here? Even if it was by Toji’s strong hands, there was no way he could leave his life behind him now. It’s too soon.

Toji ignored his stuttering and held up his blade to Nanami’s throat. With his other hand, he grabbed his waist and pulled him closer.

“Are you not even gonna give me a fight? I thought you sorcerers were always ready to kill. Especially when you caught someone right in the act.”

His tone was mocking which Nanami could not stand. Of course he was ready to fight! It simply took him a moment to regain his composure.

“If I wanted to kill you, you’d be dead by now.”, he threatened, making direct eye contact.

“Hm, then why don’t you wanna kill me?”

Nanami desperately tried to keep his expression blank and unreadable. It seemed he failed miserably.

“Awe, don’t tell me you find me too attractive to kill?”

Turning his head away, Nanami simply scoffed. How dare he? Trying to insult Nanami by insinuating something like this. Even though it was absolutely true.

“I saw you checking me out earlier, you know? I thought maybe you were trying to figure out my next move. But your red ears and cheeks tell me otherwise.”

Nanami forced himself to look at him but my god, he wished the ground would swallow him whole. What was he doing? This was not a man he should be interested in. This is a man he should stay away from, as far as possible. He was a murderer with no regards for other people’s well being. Nanami had been attracted to questionable people in the past but never people who were immoral or whose jobs included being an actual assassin.

“You don’t know anything about me.”, he spoke through gritted teeth. At least he said something. Toji leaned in closer, his lips dangerously close to Nanami’s.

“I know enough.”

Nanami bashfully looked to the side. Toji was still so close to him. His voice was low and seductive, it made his knees weak.

“Look, pretty boy, I usually just kill my targets and people who are in my way. You’re neither. So, what do you say, we continue this somewhere else?”

What?!

Nanami snapped his head around, almost kissing Toji in the process, who pulled away in time.

No no no, he needed to fight him. Or at least report his whereabouts to someone. But if he did that, there was no chance in hell they were ever going to meet like this again. And as much as Nanami hated to admit it, this was a once in a lifetime chance for him. He could always report him later. After he had seen what was under that black shirt and what those wide pants were hiding.

“How do I know you won’t hurt or kill me?”

Toji grinned.

“Oh, don’t worry about that. I’ll only hurt you in the ways you like. Besides, how do I know you won’t rat me out, huh?”

Nanami gulped. Please don’t let this be the reason for him to leave. But it looked like Nanami got lucky since Toji answered his own question.

“The answer is simple. I’ve seen the way you look at me. And your body language speaks volumes. You’re way too desperate to pass up this opportunity.”

Shit.

He was right. He was desperate.

“C’mon, all you have to say is ‘yes’ and I’m yours for tonight. Or rather, you’re mine.”

Nanami took a shaky breath in and placed his hand on the back of Toji’s neck. In return, Toji lowered his blade, already anticipating Nanami’s next move. So, without the blade in the way, he pulled Toji in for a sloppy, messy kiss. As they both pulled away, Toji licked his lips and put on the most charming and flirtatious smile Nanami had ever seen on a person.

“I’ll take that as a yes.”
