Rereading. On occasion of being WIA longlisted I reshare this nice and importált memory.

The interview was published last year in the Népszava Visszhang supplement about my Interactive ShapeScribblers (aka FoltFirkantó) exhibition opening on Earth Day with me and Marianna Vágó, the owner of Kornél, who brought this wonderful café & gallery to life.

I am so excited to share that my project "ShapeScribblers" aka "FoltFirkantó" have been longlisted for the World Illustration Award 2026 in Design Product & Packaging category..

Huge thanks to the jury, I am incredible honored to be in the 500 out of 4500 entries! Congratulations to all selected artists!

I am looking forward to the continuation - cheer for the shortlist, but no matter what happens, this is a beautiful result and prestigious professional feedback for me, because I do this project of my own with all my heart and I still have so many ideas for its further development! Long live the FoltFirkantók! 🌱Last week on my birthday I wanted to gift some time to myself to draw and just have fun somewhere nice, I choose the best location. I went to Füvészkert, the botanical garden in Budapest. I was "bumblebeeing" around, adoring all the greens, shapes and motifs.

✏I drew some pages, but I set a goal to keep it chill and just let myself observe and do what feels good, experiment and make mistakes - it is so important to let yourself make mistakes and bad drawings. So I did and I think I didn't draw anything particulary good, but I did get some ideas and I enjoy my time, and of course I like some of the drawings in the end.

💧Also had a funny game with the automatic sprinkler system periodicly sending me a bit out of the rows, like some sort of reminder of time. Also I was observing the people passing by, their presence. I drew one of the old ladies who shouted 'how beatiful' to each plant, and had funny conversation bits like "I think let's go to this way I think this won't bites us." Or seeing the blackbird stuck (?) in the greenhouse and knocking on the window with the other one!? I am not sure what happened here, but it was an interesting story.👀Observing is a big part of drawing and creativity, I really try to give time for myself to do this and a tiny sketchbook is the best friend to be with me on these trips.

🌴I think I spent most of my time around the ferns, palms, and exotic plants these brought back so many nice memories from Indonesia, Madeira, Slovenia or other places I'd travelled.

I definately would like to go back to this garden soon!

FISE színei Egyik kedves nyári projektem, ami egy abrosznyi színező volt. A Fiatal Iparművészek Stúdiója Egyesület számára készítettem, aminek én is tagja vagyok. A színező a mátranováki falunapon debütált, és nagyon jó látni ahogy a színek megtöltötték élettel. :)

Végre feltöltöttem ezt a januárban megjelent könyvet, ami "Egész úton hazafelé" - Petőfi vándorlásairól szól, és a Magyar Nyelv Múzeuma kiállításához készült foglalkoztatókönyvként.

Meglepi! Mindig is eljátszottam a gondolattal, hogy milyenek lennének a rajzaim mintaként tárgyakon. Úgyhogy lemodelleztem egy mockupon. Szerintem ezek a vicces tölcsérek elég vidámak a nyárhoz, így kerültek fel egy flipflop papucsra.

Az előző posztban a minta, amit a #thepatternchallengebymel -re készítettem.

Surprize! I always wanted to see how my drawings would look like as patterns on objects. So I made this mockup flipflops, as I felt like the funny cones was cheerful enough for summer.

Tölcsérek, kúpok, mintázat!

Nagyon izgatott vagyok,hogy ezt megmutathatom, mert tavaly óta szerettem volna csatlakozni és kipróbálni ezt a mintázat rajzoló challenget #thepatternchallengebymel (instagramon)
