Got pulled over ,the way this cop was talking I had committed this atrocious crime. I was doing 30 in a 25 to get up a massive hill. Then he tacked on my failure to signal.
all the young ladies tell me how you would feel. At midnight driving home there is a car with high led lights following you for 3 miles, would you want to signal to tell the creeper car where you are turning next. I didnt
So now I am literally 4 house away from home and the creeper car that has been following me for 3 miles lights me up its a fucking cop.
My insurance card laps I was insured i just hadn't gotten the new proof card yet. This shit head of a cop tells me that not having proof of insurance is an arrest-able offence and I could face jail time, if i got a cop in a bad mood i could be arrested but he is going easy on me and giving me a written warning.
Now just to be clear this is not the law now in my state it is a crime to not carry proof of insurance but i had a valid policy. The most severe consequences for a domestic vehicle is a 50$ fine. For a first offence it is 30$ not a felony like he claimed. I looked up this law in question the only time this is a felony is if you were driving a commercial vehicle and your employer is knowingly having you drive an uninsured vehicle. I dont think my Chevy cavalier is a commercial vehicle.
I am not saying 30 in a 25,or not signaling is not a crime but really. cant you be catching the drug dealers down the street or the teenagers vandalizing the school. Really i hate people that try to make little things into big problems. The lies that came out of this cops mouth were ridiculous.
