3/2/11 Judges 7-11

“No sooner had Gideon died than the Israelite again prostituted themselves to the Baals. They set up Baal-Berith as their god and did not remember the LORD their God, who had rescued them from the hands of all their enemies on every side.” Judges 8:33-34

This verse hit me, because it shows that some people in this world only follow GOD because of a role model or pastor. I just hope, when my pastor leaves we wont end up becoming like the Israelite. People need to know that God brings us leaders like Gideon because he wants us to create a stronger bond with God and learn to live as Christ. Imagine just imagine how God felt when he saw his people betray him like that just because Gideon died..

3/5/11 Roman 15-16

“We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his own good, to build him up.” Roman 15:1-2

For a non christian, they do stuff to benefit themselves. But we as Christians need to help other, although it doesn’t effect you at all. We must set an example so that people will see that God is loving and caring. We don’t want people to see us helping others to benefit ourselves. We do it because its our duty to serve.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Roman 15:13

We as Christians always fear about things that could happen if your a christian, like fearing that other people will judge you because your a Jesus freak (which is not a bad thing! :]) or maybe we could fear that Satan could tempt you even more because you got closer to God. We should stop thinking about all of that and just be overjoyed that God is with us, filling us with joy and happiness.

3/09/11 Psalm 31-33

“Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. Free me from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge.” Psalm 31:3-4

You as a Christian always in a spiritual battle, everyday Satan set traps for you so that you can slip away from God. Although your in a hard predicament, always ask God to lead and guide you. With God in your side Satan cant hurt you. The reason why Satan is tempting you so much is because your getting too close to God. Satan is afraid of you figuring out that God is the way to happiness. That’s why Satan always give you “temporary” happiness such as money, fame, and popularity. Don’t ever be afraid of Satan, for God is my rock and my fortress.
