I spent 51+ hours watching Empress Ki, and it was so good! Storyline - I love the consistency, I don't see any plothole. I never get bored or confused with what's happening because everything falls into place. It is the best Angst-period drama that I have watched so far.

Characters - My favorite character in the drama are TalTal and Wang Yu T.T, and my always forever favorite ship is Wang Yu/ Seung Nyang; They both have the same values/ principles in ruling and really cared with their people. It's just so tragic that they didn't even have their time to talk about their child :( so unfair, they just endured the pain and kept their thoughts for each other within themselves. I cried when Wang Yu always risk his life protecting Nyang even tho, it was hard to see that she was in another man's arms. As for Tal Tal, he was also like Wang Yu and Seung Nyang, who always sided to do right. He is an intelligent, brave, loyal, and noble man. Oh gosh my obsession with him. I like his mindset and principles. He and Seung Nyang are compatible with their wits, especially war strategies. They also have good chemistry, it was just so sad he's also killed at the end, I hoped that they have romance at the end. I can see Taltal has a one-sided crush on Seung Nyang, but he chooses to let his mind win over his heart.

Wang Yu, on the other hand, is a great leader. I love him so much, his personality, his mindset, his love for Nyang, and especially the friendship with his loyal servants/followers. My heart still aches to remember how his servants have been so loyal to him, they cried when he was heartbroken, and they laughed with him when his happy.

Tahwan, I love his character as well; silly, clingy and obsessed with Seung Nyang. He is the complete opposite of Seung Nyang. He always let his heart win over his mind. But I salute him for being strong despite the trauma and insecurities that he felt throughout the drama. He endured the pain of loving Seung Nyang and my heart stopped when he thought that Seung Nyang died and that he couldn't even talk. You can really feel that pain huhu. But still, until the end he protected Seung Nyang.

Pacing - the pacing is just right. Even tho it is the longest dram I have ever watched, It didn't bore me, to the fact that I only watched all 51 eps in 5 days AHAHAH.
