Read below.
Let’s start from the beginning. Where are you from? What was your upbringing like?-
I’m from Florida born in Orlando grew up in the projects jus like every other hood drugs and violence in the area..Single household my mom raised me with my two lil sisters. Did you guys grow up with a lot of music being played in the house?-
My Mom love to play music in the house when I was a lil baby she use to play music real loud whenever I started crying… she listened to a lot of different music from r&b, old school, to hip hop So you were surrounded by music growing up it sounds like. How did you learn how to make beats? Did someone show you?-
When I was in high school I played the drums so I learned cadences and how to read music. Later I got a keyboard from a friend and he showed me a few chords and I jus kept trying to learn new techniques.
Bet! So you kept on at it. Who was the first person you sold a beat to that affirmed you wanted to do this?
I sold my first beat in 2009 for like 25 dollars. When I seen that someone would actually buy my beats I knew I could probably make a living off beats I jus kept on creating.
How do you usually do business with most the artist you work with? Do you link up in person or send beats over email?
Mostly I send beats thru email with artist I built a connection with over the internet. I’ve also had the opportunity to link with some of these artist in the studio like DSavage ,Pierre Bourne , Nebu Kiniza , Diego Money & Gunna.
On a Good week how many beats do you make on average?
On a good week I can knock out 10 -15 beats all gass.
Haha I Believe that. Out of all the beats you’ve cooked up, What are some of your personal Favorite beats:
My favorite beats have to be Hugo Joe -Vendetta Playboi Carti - Damn Shame Hugo Joe - This Year & Famous Dex - Wavy. I really have a lot of favorites to be honest,
I noticed You and Diego Money seem to have great chemistry when working on music. How did you two meet?
I met Diego Money thru Mexikodro they were workin on a tape I was feeling the vibe so I contacted him on twitter and the rest was history
When you’re not listening to your own production, what producers does StoopidXool enjoy listening to?
Whenever I’m not listening to my production I often listen to my big bro Mexikodro he has been a huge influence on me throughout this music journey
Tell me about Beat Pluggz. How did it originate? and who created the “PLUG” tag??
Well I had a idea that I needed a group to work with and build with, so I saw a few producers who were on the same path that I was on and I contacted them we came up with a name and ran with it. BeatPluggTwo created the tag and it became popular because we were makin beats that no one else was doing
What are three things producers need in 2019??
In 2019 I would say all producers need to have a social media presence, a well developed sound, & a tag that sets them apart from the rest.
Personal lives are often affected by work. How do you balance that??
It’s really hard to balance personal and work life. I’ve been sacrificing personal life for a while because I got to make it happen by any means. Occasionally I hang wit my dawgs jus to clear my mind and jus be around genuine people.
What Do you Do to unwind??
Whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed I go the beach and clear my mind.
Is Florida where you create best? Would you ever move to another city?
I always thought I wanted to be in them big studios but I’m way more comfortable in Florida. I like Florida as a whole I feel like it’s the best city. I been to a couple but I don’t really see myself moving out of Florida but anything is possible.
Most People Don’t Know:
I hate large crowds and to be center of attention
You’re a producer I’ve noticed that works with artist before they start blow up, almost like you’re ahead of the curve. Who are a few artist you feel should be on people’s radar this year?
I feel like people should definitely keep a eye on Flee, Alexander Slang, Draco Montana & Hugo Joe
If someone wants to reach out to you to purchase some beats, what’s the best way to reach out to you?
The best way to contact me for business is probably on Instagram direct messages. I find myself checkin these regularly
What’s the best advice anyones ever given you on your way up, and what’s the best advice you’d give to someone who is an aspiring producer?
The best advice I have received is from Mexikodro he always told me to stay consistent & Keep workin and that shit really paid off. I was also told to never give up and the harder it gets the closer your gettin ! Most producers who look up to me I always tell them to keep goin. I know it sounds cliche but it really works because practice make perfect, u can only get better the more work u put in !
What can we expect from StoopidXool for the rest of 2019?-
You can expect a couple tapes from me this year workin on “Xool Summer” with Flee got “Ok Xool” comin with my boy Alexander Slang. Still workin with my boy Diego Money & Hugo Joe.
I’m jus keeping the solid with the ones I came up with and trying new things.
Anything you’d like to close out with to all the fans and supporters to who appreciation all the work you put in?-
I got say to all the fans and supporters I really appreciate everything my fans give me a lot of motivation even on a bad day.
