iβve now worked two weeks as a lower secondary teacher and thereβs so much to get used to.. this is also my first time working/living in a town which is so heavily right leaning and it truly shows among the student what kind of values theyβve learned at home. i asked them to name an injustice in the world, historically or current, and someone mentioned poverty (which was an example i was looking for). immediately several others shut it down by saying it is poor peopleβs fault theyβre poor. they are 14/15 years old. they have not taught themselves this.Β
