Here's a picture of me. No filter, no edits. Natural. And here's why: Tonight I caught myself undermining and questioning my self-worth again. I found myself comparing and judging my own looks against society's standards of beauty. I failed myself. Miserably. One by one, I started singling out my flaws: Permanent dark circles, eye bags, chubby face, too much muscles, too much fats, too this, too that, not enough of this, not enough of that. The list could go on and on. I started to wonder how anyone could love someone that looked like that. And then I stopped. Someone did love me. Someone loved me to the extent of being tortured, humiliated, and even dying on the cross for me. That Someone created me. That Someone also created the world, the skies, the gorgeous sunsets, and all the other breathtaking wonders of the universe. And that same Someone told me that I was fearfully and wonderfully made, His masterpiece. Who has the same authority and power to tell me otherwise? Who am I to say otherwise? (at 淡水河岸)
