let met explain how important korean fanbase is: people in korea, especially fansites, are the main bank of the entire operation. fansites closing because they can’t wait for the boys anymore, and some have none left actually, means that casuals have left way easier. in the fall at least fansigns were mostly filled up, i think now they would be struggling for even 75 and that’s if they switched off this dream of lottery. stardom has basically given up on the boys because their original plan didn’t work, and instead of adapting and trying to build popularity they said no, let’s just watch everything fall apart. at least before they were managing to maybe break even, now they’re losing money hand over foot but somehow everything continues to run which is the shadiest part of all of it. and the members having plastic surgery in the midst of all of this, hansol’s gypsy veil wasn’t fooling anyone here, was the weirdest thing. there is something seriously wrong with stardom and if you aren’t seeing it look at the numerous examples in these posts.
and this is exactly what they did to evol, because say has /literally/ left the group and they are all just stuck there with the remainder of their contracts it seems. stardom doesn’t do anything with them and they’re just as stuck as topp dogg seems like they will be, with no comebacks or promotions and stardom doesn’t even put the effort forth to have either of them performing at events anymore. the last topp dogg event was on may 30th, and it is /july/. no other group is this inactive, they had literally 4 schedules since they got back from brazil in feb.
speaking of brazil and bad world tour ideas, they pretty much funded this by selling off the boys. even though annie promotions were over, they suddenly started up fansigns with the dog bone that you could win a date with the boy of your choosing through raffle of how many albums you bought, and you bet your ass this is the only way they were selling out those fansigns.
cho pd runs his mouth all the time and media plays everything so that everyone in the entertainment business hates stardom. what few opportunities topp dogg would have to get out of ‘nugu’dom are already ruined before they begin. for the one time td managed to get on inkigayo during annie promotions, they had to open the show (which is rock bottom nuguness, opening for groups that debuted over a year after you) while us the fans were let in last, had to stand, and actually didn’t get in until after td had finished. going into makbang (the last week) of promotions, no one at stardom actually announced it was makbang until yano tweeted it would be after the show. this week was horrible, but it culminated in that there was supposed to be a fanmeeting that saturday, the same day as their trainwreck of a first concert that sasha talked about, and in order to go to the fanmeeting you had to sign up for music core and if you didn’t go you would get a penalty. THe problem was, music core ended an hour before the concert started, and the venue was an hour and a half away, so everyone was shitting and pissing about being able to get a good seat for the fanmeeting but not having to go to mucore and miss the concert. then on the morning of, they cancelled the fanmeeting, never rescheduled, and then went on with typical stardom stupidity.
let me talk about the members too because stardom is beyond shady about all of this. first, seogoong. he left in august after abruptly leaving halfway through a fansign for another ‘schedule’ and essentially never came back. he was weird as fuck that day too, really not focused and out of it and i was confused but i didn’t expect it to turn out like it did. stardom is the worst because they will lie through their teeth about everything, and the seogoong situation is just one. first he hurt his leg practicing, next he had a cold, and then there was just no explanation given! and then they straight up lied about it saying there would be /13/ members in the japan concert, and then basically a few days before decided to take it all back. there has been so much mystery shrouding the seogoong situation, so i am not going to make any guesses on what it is rn, but i’m friends with his last fansite and she sees him sometimes going to the company and just told me that he has lost an asston of weight and changed his hair but….nothing updated on the front of what the fuck is he doing and where is he. he is close with the group though, he and sangdo were literally best friends.
on the topic of sangdo too, he fucked up his leg in january (no real explanation on that one) and actually still hasn’t recovered from that. every time i saw them over the spring, he would still limp the choreo and cut bits of it to be easier on his leg. this is literally almost 6 months after the fact, and something is still wrong with it but no one is really noticing or saying anything.
also kidoh, who was literally hoodwinked into stardom with the solo clause of his contract. (just want to say this is how they got gohn too! promising solos that they fund with twenty dollars and a piece of string with the most half assed promos you would ever see) which he didn’t even get to do how he wanted, because he told me he wanted still alive to be the title but the company wouldn’t let him do it. and now he’s thin as a rail and won’t show his face ever, which i think is because he realizes his dreams are dead and he’s stuck at /stardom/ and can’t do anything about it, and is literally self destructing himself in the process. we talked about his weight once and he told me that he knows he has issues with forgetting meals but that he promises to eat more and well here we are now.
NOW topp dogg will go to europe to play at empty theaters it seems, and i honestly don’t know what they’re going to do about this or how the fuck stardom plans on doing any of this and yet they are somehow still making money. i love these boys with all my heart and i fucking hate watching them die like this while stardom twiddles their thumbs and thinks about their next failure of an investment. so yeah, just thought i would add my two cents to all of this. the boys are still sweet and were smiling last time i saw them right before i left but….this is just terrible and also i’m genuinely worried about kidoh. also fuck you mino because i know me some hip hop and disses but that was a cheapass shot to aim at somewhere where you know how much it sucks and how you can’t do anything but i bet it’s real easy to do now and aim at these ‘nugus’ now that you have an asston of fans and more than 3 pennies and a piece of string to your name.
