Hello, hello my Tumblr friends. I know this is technically my Flight Rising outlet, but I’ve potentially run into some issues with my disabled brother potentially being jobless soon (due to some shit that violates the ADA), and I’m delving into the world of art commissions. Which is actually pretty exciting because I now have the time to do it, too, and I fucking love doing commissions.

Things I am good at: People, elves, anthros, animals, monsters, cartoons, and all manner of organic things.

Things I am not good at: Machinery, robots, photorealism, and a lot of science-fictiony stuff.

ADULT CONTENT STIPULATIONS: I don’t mind doing adult content (I actually kind of like it because it’s challenging), but I have a laundry list of conditions. I have the right to refuse anything, and I will not even consider it if asked to draw underage characters in compromising situations or if you’re a minor yourself. Sketches- Uncolored, rough sketches. Messy and satisfying. $10 bust | $15 full body | $3 for each additional character NO BACKGROUNDS

Colored Sketches - Fun, quick, and to the point. Rough and painterly. $15 bust | $20 full body | $3 for each additional character BACKGROUNDS ARE BETWEEN $5 - $10 EXTRA BASED ON COMPLEXITY

Flat Busts - Uncolored, from the shoulder up. Transparent background. $20 flat rate 

Detailed Busts - Now with shading and flair!  $25 no background | $30 with background

Full Body Lite - Either flat or light shading, but a whole damn character $32 no shading | $35 with light shading (one shading layer) ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS ARE $10

Full Body XTREME - Same as above, but with all the detail I can cram in. $50 one character | $15 each additional character  Backgrounds between $15 and $25 depending on complexity

Reference Sheets - Flat color, full body, multiple angles, on the simple side $75 for basic | If you want more complicated, we’ll negotiate

HIDDEN OPTION: Theme Collages - Physical media, which I will actually complete and ship to you. Prices vary based on size and materials. Given an option or a goal, I’ll mixed-media that on canvas for you.

HIDDEN OPTION II: Linocut Prints - I will make a simple linocut print for you based on a symbol, character, or what have you. This will be an expensive option because you get to keep the linocut plate for personal use. If you don’t want the plate, it’ll still be pricey, but we can negotiate. Call me.

The situation: Coronavirus. That’s basically it. I live in a city which, in my state, is probably the highest-risk area in the state. Four cases of coronavirus have been tentatively traced back to my place of work specifically (though, in my opinion, it doesn’t add up), which has caused business to crash. Contracts have been breached, conferences refuse to stay with us, and it’s generally just… bad. They’re basically now operating on a salary-only skeleton crew for financial and health reasons, and I went from full-time to part-time to nothing over the course of 48 hours.

I am desperate, to say the least. This hit so hard and so fast that it’s not like I had time to prepare for it. One minute, I’m fine, the next I’m getting a call that I won’t be needed for the rest of the week. Or next week. They’ll let me know about the week after that.

If you want to buy art, please. I have nothing but time to do it, lol. If you want to boost, I would be oh-so-appreciative. And I’m very willing to haggle because of how desperate I am.

Support your local small businesses, ESPECIALLY Asian-owned businesses! A lot of places are hurting for business right now, which means reduced hours or even layoffs for employees, which means more people struggling to pay bills or for groceries right now. Asian-owned businesses are probably being hit especially hard due to increased racism and xenophobia. 

If you’re worried about being in contact with other people, check businesses’ Facebook pages! A LOT of my local businesses are opening up online orders, deliveries, and curbside pickup, and I’m sure a lot of yours are, too!

Second, support artists! With a lot of people experiencing financial issues, people who make a living doing art are probably struggling even more, because art is a luxury and one of the first things cut from budgets during financial hardship. If you can afford to throw some money to artists you like - in the form of Kofis or commissions - please do! If you can’t, you can still support them by signal boosting their commission sheets and reblogging their art.
