Night's off were almost foreign to her even though her job finished by late afternoon. But with two children to take care of along with whatever aid her bleeding heart had decided to offer her neighbours - from grocery shops and errands to playing taxi or helping them around the house - she rarely left time for herself. Continuing to pour herself out even though with Will gone there was now no one else to help her fill up again. The favours she did were with no expectation of a return but it wasn't entirely unusual for someone to come through from her when she least expected it. This time it had been Mrs Gutierrez, her arm all healed up after her fall and she'd all but shoved Svara out the door while assuring her that Mateo and Salma would be no trouble at all.
Only now that she was out she didn't quite know what to do with herself. Knowing that in the wake of the accident she'd filled the void that her partner had left with whatever she could. Functioning only because she'd given herself a purpose outside of herself. Sleep might have been what she craved the most but with her bed now kept from her she settled for a drink and the hope of a little bit of peace. But even though she'd chosen a quiet corner and dodged eye contact lest she encouraged someone to across, of course some guy hadn't managed to take the hint. Weary gaze flicked up at the man before it slid off him with palpable disinterest. Enough for anyone to pick a different target but instead he pulled up a chair. Brow arched, lips pursing in displeasure before terse words left her. "I don't think I gave you an invitation." Gaze flickering around to see if there would be any support when she was reluctant to have it end in some kind of altercation and have her night ruined by some guy who couldn't take a hint. "I'm waiting for someone." Eyes landed on someone who before everything would have been her saviour without a second thought, now she wasn't so sure. But hand still lifted to draw her over, hoping old ties would be enough for the other woman to intervene."Here she is now."
