Obviously this isn't really inside your control but if you have any capacity to develop an interest in bugs as a miserable insane person I really can't recommend it enough. The thing is, there are SO many of them outside. It's not like loving birds or whales or cats, although any of these can bring you a lot of comfort. There just are not that many of other animals. High bug enthusiasm makes it like being a dinosaur 5 year old at jurassic park every second you're outside and pretty often inside too. Singularly efficient effort to amount of delight it yields ratio.
