Zin Lim

Zin Lim born in Seoul, South Korea, Zin Lim received a B.F.A. in Industrial Design (Environmental) from Hong Ik University, Seoul in 2000. Same year, Lim moved to San Francisco Bay Area, United States. He received 2nd B.F.A. in 2003 and M.F.A. in 2006 of Fine Art: Figurative Painting from Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Zin Lim dedicated his school time to achieve solid craftsmanship in representational oil painting. Simultaneously, he spent the half of the time for Non-Representational realm, because Lim believe that each of these disparate structures is not only complements the other but also increases space of creative potentiality between them. Zin Lim won numerous awards including some of the most prestegious national and international competitions, such as; Best of Show at ‘The Salon International’, Exceptional Merit Award at ‘The Portrait Society of America’, and Award of Excellence at ‘The Oil Painter’s of America.’ Currently, Lim is teaching figure classes of Graduate Courses in Academy of Art University and he is represented nationwide by Ella Wlaton Richardson Fine Art, Willow Gallery, Waterhouse Gallery, Horizon Fine Art, and Deloney Newkirk Fine Art.

Across from the the crustacean tank was a small octopus tank. This little fucker squeezed out of a tiny hole at the top of his tank, walk across the hall, and get into the crustacean tank. He would then hunt and eat. After he was done, he crawled back out and get back in his tank

Do you still need more proof of rape culture?

As Noam Chomsky once pointed out for Z Magazine, old media types from the institutional bodies like American Enterprise Institute tend to regurgitate the same ideas with a reliability that is equally impressive and infuriating. While assuring the public that rape is a terrible crime, writers like Caroline Kitchens and Heather McDonald of right-wing think tank The Manhattan Institute try to claim that feminists have blown this whole rape culture thing way out of proportion.

Apparently, many women disagree. On Tuesday there were more than 1 million responses on the #RapeCultureIsWhen hashtag started by a frustrated Zerlina Maxwell in response to these right-wing narratives.
