A brave man died today. He wasn't perfect, but he certainly deserves respect. He fought against corruption despite threats of prison and death. He, together with his supporters, investigated and made public hundreds of crimes committed by the Russian authorities. Despite the attempt on his life, he returned to Russia because he believed that he should be with his people. Even after arrest, several unjust sentences and three years of prison and torture, he did not lose his presence of mind and faith in Russia's bright future. He never gave up. His name was Alexei Navalny. I want to believe that Alexei's ideas and the hope he gave so many people will continue to live on as his legacy.
