Hey guys,

So after a post by @mon-amour-eternel in the Klaroline tag, I was encouraged to start a Slack community for fellow Klaroliners which you can find here: https://klarolinersunite.slack.com/

What is Slack?

Slack is an app (can be downloaded on pc’s, mac, tablets, smartphones) that many teams around the world use to community. It’s great because you can just be added to a community and be able to enter loads of channels or chat rooms about specific things in the fandom.

So far I’ve created groups for Fanfiction, Graphics/GIFS, News, The Originals etc, so it is places where you can discuss these aspects of the fandom, ask questions, get advice, share your work etc. So when you join you will automatically join the #general chat and you can choose which of the other chats you want to join

We only have a little of the month before The Originals return to our screen, if this is our last hoorah, let’s get the fandom buzzing again and create a positive environment where fandom members can get to know each other and share support and love.

If a year was tucked inside of a clock, 

then Autumn would be the magic hour. 

It’s an a Klaroline year without a little bit of Awards…

This year our resilience was awarded with a sliver of a scene which is less than what we deserve but still appreciated. And the fandom ploughs on, despite the drama, or stress, or ill-treatment we are still here - still writing, still getting our Photoshop on, still viding, blogging and tweeting, so we feel that needs to be celebrated.

So to honour the past year the Klaroline Awards are back, diarise these dates:

Nominations phase - 6th July - 16th July

Nominations final tally/informing nominees/poll making - 17th July - 20th July

Voting phase - 21st July - 4th August

Winners Announcement - 8th August.

New Categories:

Best Aesthetic Graphics Maker - This is for those graphic makers who all about the aesthetic and do excellent pictorials

Most Dedicated to the Fandom blog - Bloggers who are always partaking in fandom events, encouraging others and creating new activities and projects for the rest to partake in.

IF you have ideas for categories please send them to us for consideration before 30 June 2016

Important

If you do not want to take part in the awards, as in be a nominee, please let the admins know BEFORE THE NOMINATION PERIOD so the fandom can be alerted in a timeous fashion and it allows them to nominate others.

Klaroline Valentine’s Gift Exchange 2016

We are pleased to announce the third annual Klaroline Valentine’s Gift Exchange is now officially open!

As already twice before we are opening the Klaroline Valentine’s Gift Exchange. This year, however, it is going to be a little bit different. Similar to the Klaroline Vacay and Klaroline Winter Wonderland Gift Exchange, this event is open to anyone who wants to share their talents and celebrate their love of Klaroline and is once again taking place both on tumblr and through AO3′s challenge matching system.

AO3 is a great place to host this exchange and you must remember it’s suitable for all kinds of gifts, not only drabbles. You can decide to do whatever you like, from drabbles to gif sets and playlists, graphics or videos.

Please be sure and check out our rules and faq so you know how it works. Also check out How to sign up and How AO3 works.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask but please read everything carefully first. If you don’t have an AO3 profile yet, contact us and we will get you an invite.

The holiday season is upon us and that means it’s almost time to deliver your Klaroline Winter Wonderland Gift! We here at the magazine wanted to send out a friendly reminder to everyone about the following:

~Assignments are due on Dec 27th and all the gifts will be posted throughout the day on Jan 1st. All the gift givers will be revealed on Jan 3rd.

~If you haven’t contacted your giftee yet, now is the time to do so. Either way, if you haven’t already started working on your gift, we’d encourage you to get started. The holidays can get crazy so give yourself enough time.

~Speaking of crazy, we know that sometimes things come up and people are unable to complete their gifts for people. Please let us know as soon as possible if you’ll be unable to provide a gift so we can have someone step in to help out. 

~With that in mind, if there’s anyone out there who can step in and possibly do a last minute gifset, drabble, playlist, etc. please let us know! Send us a message and let us know what you are willing to help with and i promise you’ll have our unending gratitude. And again, this is an “in case” situation. 

~If people would like an invite to AO3, please contact us and we can get you all set up! You don’t need to be a participant in order to get an invite.
