Met @letsbefitfriends 9 years ago today at Oktoberfest in SF. Ran over to the Ft Mason at lunch today. That spike on the elevation profile is me taking the stairs up and over Telegraph Hill by Coit Tower as a shortcut. I'm not going to call it "love at first sight" but there was no denying we had some sort of magnetic connection. We got married 5 years ago this week. Love you boo! 😍😘

Great hike with the fam today! Our adventure crew has grown with the addition of Miss Lula Claire McAwesome. She warmed up with tummy time then slept for most of our hike. Makes me so SO happy to see Abra and Briar our adventuring together again after a tough pregnancy for Ab. I tried to sneak in a workout this afternoon that resulted in total failure. Big girl was at Grandma's and little girl was napping. Until she wasn't. 2 attempts on the trainer yielded under 2 minutes of riding. Oh well. Bring on DadBod.

We added a new member to the Adventure Crew, but more importantly (arguably) we got a founding member back!! Baby Lula will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and yesterday we took her to the beach for the first time. Being the dad of an infant is tough because even if you change all the diapers you still don't have the Boob of Life and your baby basically has as much use for you as an old boot. My favorite part of the last 2 days is absolutely seeing Abra able to toss Briar around and go on adventures again. Welcome back @letsbefitfriends. Helen Keller says, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."

Had a nice home improvement "Dadurday" this weekend. Briar went with me to the lumber yard and rode in the front seat while eating a donut because I'm a great dad like that. Then at Home Depot, she was standing in the cart holding a 10-inch pointy bolt. She even helped me sand down the mantle while teaching me this super advanced belly sanding technique. No swims, bikes, or runs this weekend. And that's ok. Lots of chores and walks instead.

Woah. I was gone a while. I have been running at lunch sometimes and today I went for a "long" ride after work. Also I have this silly mustache. I'm back! Maybe.

Traded the office for a great day with these two babes. And in just a blink of an eye, my baby turned into a little girl. Happy birthday @abracdabra (at Dolores Park, SF)

This is the first, last, and only Father's Day Briar's favorite word will be "Dada". We got to go for a hike with the dog in the am and chill out with mom by the pool in the pm. Life is hard but so SO worth it. (at Arastradero Preserve)
