Jump rope
Clay and rope, dimensions vary
Reminicent of a jump rope or childs toy with plastic moving parts but, instead made with unfired clay, makes it a brittle object. An object created not for play but for delicate movements. The process and results reminded the artist of the body aging. The artist wasn't able to participate in jumping due to the destruction of the work on first attempt to rotate.
"The Weasles Are Everyone"
Clay, charcoal, Weasley ball toy, 24in x 38in
Fired pottery with circular marks of charcoal heavily applied. Placed within the barrier are 5 weasel balls that represent the people in life and me. Four of the balls (red) have external power buttons and they eventually turn themselves off and the green one does not making it the one that keeps going.
Untitled (cylinders), 2021
 clay, 9x9in wide x 5 ft tall
Unfired Clay cylinders respond to the space between the wall and the column.Â
High Vis. Cups
clay, high visibility spray paint, dimensions vary
Wheel thrown cups , made to represent disposable cups, Â Â crushed so they do not stand on their own. they are placed in reaction to the architecture and space and sprayed in automatic response.
High Vis. Cups.
 DetailÂ
Left in the public environment, these cups become susceptible to the interactions of the public

Untitled (rack)
Thread, clay, dry cleaning bags, steal 2.5 ft x 5.8 ft, 2021
The plastic clings to the wet clay, revealing indentations made while pushing it from the studio space to the gallery.

"Purpose After Life"
Plastic model kit runners , 7.5 ft x 2ft
Taking the leftover runners from model kits to highlight this column. They are held together by eachother, by melting them together. This gives fragility and contrast to the concrete column to address that all structures have a time limit, concrete can be vulnerable. The materiality of the plastic is the same plastic as the parts of the models and yet are not regarded with the same worth as the models. Examination of value through the form the material is presented in. Putting it around a column that is nessicary to structure gives the plastic a feel of importance.

Curtain closed
6 x 2.5 ft. clay, porch screen, rebar, lime rocks
Curtains are used to cover/conceal but they are not walls, or doors. Curtains do not protect or guard from the outside world. By pushing clay from within onto the outside I intentionally block the view and create something solid. From a space of vulnerability I transformed it into something that is unmoving.
"They can't all break"
6 x 1.5 feet Steal, clay
A line of rebar bent for proportions of my body. The unfired clay cylinders within give fragility and uncertainty. I worked with elements that on their own are one and all can be separated but are needed to make the whole. I left many holes to demonstrate voids that have been thought about. The empty areas become as apparent and what is making that space. The void is necessary.
Repetition is another subject in the piece. Within the premise of repeating an action or making multiple objects becomes mechanical. I state in the title that they can't all break because having produced an absorbent amount I have become overly confident.

Block-age
28 ft Jean, cement block, cement, kidney beans
Using jeans I have grown out of to make intestines talks about a correlation between the interior or my body with the exterior. It speaks of physical growth vs our mental ability to keep up with that change. The block looks like an outside obstruction when looking strait on but once we look from a different angle and from within it is obvious the thing weighing it down are hands. This is a realization of how much of a part I play in my obstruction of personal growth.
I filled the jeans with loose dried kidney beans to add wait and movement and give further bodily meaning. Also beans, a plant, are representing growth.
I displayed the piece for the experience of one individual to push the feeling of a personal journey.
