Hi, I'm KJ and I'm writing my first novel!

I've hinted on here with a few posts but realized I've never made a proper intro.

You'd think with how long I've had my blog, that i would know how to use it, but that is of course not the case!

I'm currently working on my debut fantasy novel, The Last Rooted Witch. Its sapphic, heartbreaking and just a tad feral.

The full manuscript is officially in the hands of a professional editor and I am now in the horrible waiting phase!

I'll try my best not to post any spoilers on here, but I will be sharing the journey and all the chaos that comes with it.

Good morning my friends!

So I'm working on the developmental edits for my book. And of course work picked up, so I've been back to 13.5 hour days...

I honestly didn't know how hard it could be writing a book lol I knew it would t be easy, but between these crazy hours and keeping up a house AND having a chronic illness... its a lot.

Anyway, I guess I just jumped on here to give a little update.

If anyone has self care advice, writing advice, or advice in general, send it my way!

I've got lupus, and decided to use my day off for yard work yesterday, and now I can hardly move. But I will be DAMNED if I dont get some writing done today!
