All the Puns . . . Toasted with Butter, Please.

I’ve been working on another new thing! This is a set of Pride ice cream cone enamel pins that I’ve been designing. I’m planning to run a kickstarter to fund them since I don’t have the money to make all of them and I really want to! So look out for these coming soon!

If you have other flags you would want to add let me know! Some of the options will end up as stretch goals but if the kickstarter does well enough I hope to have lots of options to choose. 

Hey! We’re ready to open pre-orders for our zine, Outcast, But Never Alone!

Outcast, But Never Alone is a TAZ zine celebrating LGBT characters and characters of colour within the Balance arc! We have pieces from 40 lovely and talented artists and writers, which you can check out in the previews tag over here!

This is a nonprofit zine, with all proceeds going to the National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network (NQTTCN) which gives support to LGBT clinicians and therapists of colour.

Here’s the link to the Gumroad! There are both digital and physical copies up for grabs, as well as stickers by the lovely @reb-chan​ ! The preorders will run until May 7th, at which point we’ll work on getting it all out to y’all!

The movie starts with the idea that the male god who wronged Te Fiti must be the one to heal her. This seems to make a certain sort of intuitive sense in that I think we all believe that if you do something wrong you should try to make it right. But how does he try to right it? Through more violence. Of course that failed. 

It was only when another woman, Moana, saw past the “demon of earth and fire” that the traumatized Te Fiti had become (what a good metaphor for trauma, right?) and met her with love instead of violence that she was able to heal. Note that they do the forehead press before Moana restores the heart, while Te Fiti is still Te Kā. Moana doesn’t wait for her beautiful island goddess to appear in all her green splendor before greeting and treating her as someone deserving of love.
