I love oil painting

Every once in a while, I get other artists that will do trades/exchanges with me. I've been an artist for a long time. And a fan-creator (writer, artist, and comic work) for an equally long time. I have been on A03 alone for 8 years with 79 works. (My DA would add maybe another dozen works to that.)

So I when I was finally able to start writing Sapphire, my Legion of Superheroes OC, almost two decades after I made her up I expected to be ignored. Writing never does well compared to art for me. But then @misskriemhilds showed up. Making comments on my stories.

Someone made a comment on my story. A real comment!

I lit up.

It helped me keep going. (I only have 23 comments after the ones they gave on the 79 works.)

And then time was taken to give me the surprise of my year. Taking the time to draw my character how my words inspired! That is a complete first. I was floored and thrilled.
