i’ve been getting back into hail the sun really hard lately. not like i’ve not really been into them lately, but like, now whenever i’m listening to music i’m just only listening to their discography on shuffle. it gives me a weird feeling since i’ve been growing up with all these songs since 2017, and i have a lot of memories associated with them. it almost makes me feel more alive reliving some of the shit i felt again. i remember back then, when i’d first heard disappearing syndrome, i really did feel myself falling in love with and getting attached to this kind of music really hard. it’s hard not to associate my years in high school with this band because of that. but, alongside this music, a lot of other things happened in high school that led to my life now, and i regret a lot of those things. my heart is aching and full of spite that burns my soul all the time but at least i feel alive

i went out with a friend in public for the first time in my life a few days ago and it was a very surreal experience. it wasn’t the first time i’d hung out with a friend, but going out in public relatively away from either of our houses made it a lot more scary. i’ve never felt so nervous i was sick to my stomach until the moment i got in their car, but in the end i loosened up a bit and had a pretty good time. while i think i still have a lot of personal issues i need to get sorted before i can ever truly move past my neet-ness, i think forcing myself to be uncomfortable like this can only help
