hi! many of you know me but some of you also probably know I'm a jewish fan of brawl stars :) my father's side is 100% jewish, and I am 50%. I practice the customs alongside with him, and am a challah baker. don't call byron a snake or lizard man. it's a antisemitic jewish stereotype about jews bring non human cold blooded reptiles who secretly run the government and want to scam you. byron already has antisemitic undertones (I assume unintenal) such as his nose's shape, his whole job, and his accent somewhat resembling that of a hebrew speaker. I'm probably reading into that last part, but the point still stands. don't call him a reptile, snake, etc. i will find you and i will make you pay

hey you!! if youre seeing this it probably means you go into the brawl stars tag semi-frequently. this probably means youre getting hit by a lot of posts about the game nickelodeon announced recently, nickelodeon all-star brawl. im fairly certain this is because any post with "brawl," "star," and an "s" count as being part of the brawl stars tag, which is an oversight on tumblr's part.
what can you do to fix this?
what i did is filter commonly used tags for all-star brawl
instructions on how to filter tags (on mobile) will be under the cut!
to start, go to your blog (the silhouette that looks like a person on the bottom right) and go to settings (the gear on the top right)
next, go to Account Settings. this will be on the top of your settings, so it's hard to miss. (thanks for 300 followers btw!!)
then, find Filtering between Color Palette and Dashboard Preferences
finally, select New and enter these tags under Filtered Tags, one by one, and you should be good to go!
obviously this isn't perfect, due to tumblr's general jankiness and the fact that people can misspell/get the name wrong entirely, but it's a big help if you're a brawl stars blog like me and you're looking for brawl stars content specifically.
alternatively, we could all start collectively using the #brawlstars tag, without the space? all-star brawl doesnt seem to show up in that tag, but it would bother me a little bit because there is meant to be a space in the game name, but that's just a personal grudge.
If you dont want to block any tags, I know that this works on mobile but i dont know if this works on anything else, but
Tap on the brawl stars Tag and it will filter posts that only have the #brawl Stars on it, it should look like this!
it shows with the most recent high noted post (i think) at the banner at top, with top posts and recent posts to switch between with out All Star Brawl showing up!
me and my friends do this thing called âhitting em with the googoo gagaâ where when we get hate mail or shit talked in online games we just reply âgoogoo gaga.â it makes gamers unspeakably mad. dont know why
Hey this is actually an effective counter-trolling technique called the âInane Flame.â Where you just repeat the same phrase over and over in response to a troll. Itâs really good if itâs something thatâs just a bit non sense and just a bit insulting. So this is a really effective version of it. They canât argue with whatâs been said, they canât really say it back, theyâre not sure if theyâre being insulted or what. I used to pull this all the time in Broodwar after cannon rushing someone on ladder (I was 12, please donât @ me). I learned it from someone in the clan I was in (I was 12 PLEASE donât @ me).
This works in real life if you can keep a straight face and calm demeanor. It works against right wing dullards as well, obviously, since Gamers are mostly just that.

I donât think people realize how much of an impact this kind of support can have, I donât think everyone knows what these little things can mean to us.
It may just be me, I donât know. But every single time I see this on my dash or on someoneâs blog or anywhere else, I kind of just breathe a sigh of relief. Thatâs one more person who cares. Thatâs one more person who doesnât hate me.
Because it means so much, especially when all the media is spewing out is that Iâm a terrible person and no one wants people like me near them. It means so much because Iâm tired of people who wonât sit next to me in class, or who choose to join the longer line at the grocery store because they donât want to be beside me and my family. It means so much when I have to lift my head any time someone says the words Islam or Muslim because Iâm scared that theyâll say something thatâll hurt, when I have to pay attention to the news because who knows what so and so is saying now, who knows which of my people are being attacked now, who knows whatâs going to happen to me now.
It means so much because Iâve been given the idea that the world is against me. And a huge part of it may be, but at least Iâve been reminded that some of it, just a small group of people, acknowledges that Iâm a person too. That people like me are just that, people.
Maybe itâs just me, I donât know. But now you do, so thank you for believing that Iâm human when so many people donât.
My husband and son worked with Muslim women at work last year. We learned so much about their faith and culture. It was amazing! The ladies were even teaching my husband their language. We exchanged food ideas. They bought us some halal, I think??, beef, so I could make them soup their way. They loved the way my cabbage soup smelled and looked, and my husband told them what was in it. They supplied the meat. Some of the ladies left for better jobs, some were fired for whatever reason. I just know that my husband misses them. They kept bragging on our 2 sons that work there with them, and family oriented they were, and how we have âgood sons.â That means the world to me! Now, at his work, most if them are high, all the time. Sad. Muslims are people too, and they indeed to feel things. I wish people would just learn to sit down and talk to each other. There would be less problems in the world.
