How else do you think Reader would influence Tim's relationship with his co-workers?
Like sharing his packed lunch with Brian or sternly telling Toby to stay still when he's hurt on a mission, but there's an underlying concern beneath allat gruffness,,,,
cuz he's Timmy tuff knuckles big daddy alpha but he also feels maternal towards Toby like a mother hen
He turns into a mom after reader starts feeding him at home 😭😭😭😭
He pays attention to little things a lot more, and he’ll snap at Toby less if it was a mistake that wasn’t life threatening/mission ruining.
Tim understands better/is more empathetic when Toby or other younger proxies mess up and get overwhelmed because you called him out on how he suppressed all his issues.
He’s good at ignoring stress because it’s what he’s been doing since childhood, and he subconsciously just expected everyone to do the same. Yet after your relationship deepens, his world view shifts a bit.
Your patience and active communication affects his logic more than you know. And since he regards you so highly, he can’t help but think twice before barking at Toby or scolding younger proxies. He can’t help but see your fear and distress reflected in theirs.
If you were thrown into that situation, you’d be terrified even after months or years of exposure. None of them have healthy coping mechanisms, none of them were taught to handle stress. It’s not fair to hold them to his standards because they’re not him.
Tim slowly gets more hesitant yelling at Toby, and then he starts throwing granola bars at him because you always pack him extra. He’ll actually tell Toby he’s done a good job instead of brushing it off as something expected of the boy.
Toby’s super confused at the random change, but it does push him to work harder instead of lashing out because no matter what he does he’s still considered a fuck up/liability. Tim’s approval is everything to him, and it genuinely makes his day if Masky says he’s done well on a job.
Though after their bond has decent footing, Tim tells him about you, and it clicks.
“Okay so all it takes is some loving at home and now you’re a saint.”
