Logic had no right attempting to be the angry one here; he was the one imposing, breaking the months of avoidance that had both of them happy.
He balanced the candy on her arms, even taking a moment out of his grumping to be sure it was tied shut and wouldnât topple off or otherwise spill.
âYou know, perhaps I am invisible. How silly of me not to notice.â Getting right up into Frickâs face was not hard, considering his only real obstacle was a much shorter child. He continued his glaring.Â
âYou know, Lydia, we should take advantage of this. Think of the âpranksâ I could play.â And thereâs a little testing poke to Frickâs arm. âGive me an idea, I promise you it will be fun. Perhaps I could rearrange his furniture, or âhauntâ the morgue for a few days.â
