Here's why:

I have NO money to give you

I'm not a popular enough blog that I will give you any reach

I am a minor, and most of my followers are too

It makes me feel extremely guilty

Seeing pictures of injuries or hospitals etc are triggering for me (which are in most intro posts for this sort of thing)

They are always worded in a way that makes me feel like I am a murderer if I don't donate

It makes me feel uncomfortable

I said I don't want them, and my boundaries should be respected

I can't tell what is a bot and what isn't

I get a lot of spam from this. It is disappointing to see 10 new asks in my inbox just to be the same ask for donations over and over

Please, just respect the fact that I have said this.

Abel sighed as he got back on his ship. It had been twenty years since the war against Troy and no one had seen his father. Abel’s father was the King of an island called Ithaca named Adam. He never really knew his father because he was a baby when he left for war. But the Queen and Abel’s mother, Eve, told him that he was a brave, clever, cunning, handsome, strong, and loving man. She bragged about how Adam could string a bow that was impossible for others and shoot an arrow through twelve axe heads.

Abel: Dad, mom really believes that you are alive and I hope that she is right. We could really use your help.

When the war had ended ten years ago and Adam hadn’t returned home, many believed that he died on the journey home along with the soldiers who went with him. Suitors from all around descended upon the castle hoping to woo Eve. But Eve was convinced Adam was alive and would come back to her. But they refused to leave and demanded that she remarry. In spite of everything, Eve never lost faith in the man she fell in love with and married.

Ten years ago…

It was sweltering inside of the large wooden horse, but if things went the way they were supposed to, they would soon be in Troy. Adam had been given this idea to sneak soldiers into Troy through a large wooden horse that was disguised as a blessing to the gods from his patron goddess, Sera. He was honestly surprised that Sera came up with a plan so bold and sacrilegious. But Sera always thought like him. The plan worked and the horse Adam and some soldiers were in was taken into Troy. Everyone threw a celebration thinking they won the war.

Emily: Are they all asleep.

Lute: Quiet or they may hear us.

Adam: They are probably too drunk to notice.

Adam opened the hatch and he got out with Sera and Emily following him as they made it to the gates. Adam opened and the armies were waiting. Adam would be forever haunted by what happened that night, but he would do it all again if it meant he could go home to his wife and son.

Adam: Lute! Emily!

Lute: Yes sir?

Adam: Go and find Anthony and carefully escort him out the city. Be sure to use the safest route there is.

Anthony, the reason why the war started in the first place, the Queen of Sparta had been cruelly taken against his will by one of the three princes of Troy and it was up to Adam and his soldiers to rescue and get him back to his husband.

He had no doubts that it would finally happen tonight.

Lute: Yes sir!

Emily: You can count on us sir!

Adam nodded before turning to look around at his other soldiers, mostly women with hearts made for battle, and he knew one word on his mind to tell them.

Adam: Attack.

And they were soon thrusted into battle, fighting and killing their way through the city, slaughtering any soldier that came into their field of vision.

But the battle was going good for them, better than good when a goddess was on their side.

They were so close to victory, so close to the freedom of war being over, it right at the tip of their tongues-

A blinding flash of light made Adam scream and drop his weapon as searing pain coursed through his torso.

He quickly checked to find blood from an open wound but found nothing.

Adam: W, What was that?

Adam froze in fear, that was the King of the Gods. He had remained neutral in this war and Adam didn’t know why he was hearing this. Just then he saw flashes of Eve and Abel being cut down as he cried out unable to help. He hadn’t see his son ever since he was a baby and he would now be ten years old.

Adam: How can I make this stop?

King of the Gods: Up in the tower is the one who will kill you and your family. You must go up there and end him.

Adam ran as fast as he could up the tower tears blinding his eyes. He thought of Eve, the woman he fell in love with while others wanted Anthony. Them meeting under the olive tree that he would carve into their wedding bed, the castle he had built around it because he didn’t want to uproot the tree. Their wedding night, Eve being pregnant with Abel. He stood in front of the door gasping.

King of the Gods: Behind that door is what will become your darkest nightmares, end it now.

Adam broke down the door and he was confused expecting to see a warrior ready to maim and kill, but all he saw was a crib. He walked over and was shocked to see a sleeping baby. This was the son of the eldest Prince of Troy, who had died in battle.

Adam: I can’t do this, he is an innocent baby. Let me take him home and raise him.

But he wasn’t allowed that, he was tormented by visions of the baby growing up in his home. But as he grew up and found the truth, darkness took root in his heart and he slaughtered the entire royal family of Ithaca before having the place burned.

Adam: NOOOOO!!!!

King of the Gods: Then you know what you must do.

Adam gathered the baby in his arms and walked out of to the balcony seeing the city burn. Screams filling the night all because of the selfish desires of one prince.

Adam: I am so sorry, but I’m just a man.

He closed his eyes as he dropped the baby off the edge of the balcony.

The next day…

Thankfully Husk found Anthony and the royal couple were happily reunited ready to return to Sparta.

Husk: Adam, thank you for helping me get my husband back to me.

Adam: Of course, I know you would do anything if the same happened to Eve.

Husk: Of course.

Anthony: Tell Eve, I would like to see her again. It’s been too long since I saw her.

With that everyone prepared to set sail, that night weighing heavy on Adam’s mind. But he couldn’t let that drag him down because soon he would be home. He just realize that it would take him another ten years to get there.

The first few weeks of sailing went about as smooth as a stream, nice and clean with zero problems.

It wouldn’t be too long now until they made it back to Ithica, Adam knew that.

If he remembered correctly it was about a month of sailing until they reached the kingdom of Troy when they first took off for war.

So it would make sense that it would be the same for the way home.

Speaking of home all the soldiers were celebrating vibrantly as they took pride in knowing they finally at long last won the war.

They all felt in their bones that only two ways for them to continue on in this.

They either would die on the battlefield or win the war and go home, luckily for them it was the latter.

So because of their survival and the fact that they would soon be back in their kingdom they all celebrated through the one thing that made everything merry.

Wine

Rich, delicious wine that they stole from the Trojans. It was so good in fact that they would even call it Troy’s greatest treasure.

Lute: We should just raid the place and go.

Emily: We can’t treat everything like a war especially with what happened in the last war. Not everyone is an enemy.

Adam: Emily is right, she will go with me and we will see if there are people who can provide food.

Emily followed off the ship and Adam had bow and some arrows, Emily just had her spear at hand.

Emily: You seem troubled my friend.

Adam: I have a lot on my mind.

Adam was thinking of the war and all of its horrors and getting home. He could sleep easier in Eve’s arms. Maybe he could soon sleep without hearing screams.

Emily: The war is over, you can relax now. We will be home soon, but for now we can greet the world with open arms.

Suddenly Adam heard movement in the bushes and aimed his bow. It wasn’t prized bow that only he could use, but it would get the job done even if it wasn’t as powerful. Just then a little creature munching on a lotus flower tumbled out of the bush.

Adam: What are you?

Emily: I think that could be a winion who work for the wind god and they are eating lotus flowers that can effect you in different ways like making you extremely euphoric and forget things. Why don’t you put that away and I will try something.

Adam put away his bow as Emily knelt in front of the winion.

Emily: Hello friend, we are travelers looking for food. Do you know where we can find some.

Winion: A cave filled with sheep and cheese.

Emily: Wonderful.

Adam and Emily then left to get some people to gather food.

Winion: Scary cave.

It didn’t take long to find the cave. There was nice fat sheep, lovely wheels of cheese, and some other types of food. Adam aimed an arrow and shot one of the sheep which fell over dead.

Lute: Good shot sir.

Adam: Thank you.

Just then they heard a scream of horror. There was a woman with one eye that was the height of two of Adam which was impressive since he was already a very tall man kneeling in front of the dead sheep.

Niffty: WHO KILLED MY FAVORITE SHEEP!!!

Uh oh…….

Nifty: Oh……Oh Billy………you poor little thing.

The tall creature sniffled, water falling out of her one eye as she picked up the sheep and held it against her body.

All the soldiers kept quiet as they tried their best to move away from her and out the exit.

Unfortunately for them it wouldn’t be too easy.

Nifty: You killed him…….you killed my friend……..what gives you the damn right to commit such an act….?

Her large red eye was now directed onto them the soldiers as she glared in pure anger.

Her sorrow deep and cut as she wished them all dead.

Nifty: Who even are you?! Why are you here?!

Adam: Please forgive us! We had no idea this cave was somebody’s home we just wished to find food and possible shelter-

Nifty: How dare you! HOW DARE YOU ALL!!! You come into my home thinking you can kill such an innocent creature!?

Adam: We were simply hungry-

Niffty: What do you have that would make up for my loss.

Adam: This wine good enough for the gods.

Adam motioned to Lute who handed him the wine skin. Adam opened it and snuck in some lotus flowers petals, he was sure that this euphoric state could also put someone to sleep.

Adam: Here.

Niffty: What is your name, mine is Niffty. I think it’s fair to know your name as well.

Adam: My name is Nobody.

Niffty: Nobody?

Everyone looked so confused.

Adam: Yes, Nobody.

Niffty then gulped down the wine.

Niffty: That was so good, Nobody. For that you will be the only one I kill.

Adam froze in horror until Niffty fell asleep. The group ran to the cave entrance. But it was blocked by a boulder.

Lute: FUCK!!!

Emily: What do we do?

Adam: I have an idea.

They started to work on a log, sharpening the end. They would drive it into Niffty’s eye, the horror at everything being dark would make her open the cave not realizing she was blind. It worked too well because when Niffty grabbed the boulder, she threw it hoping to kill a soldier and it only killed one, Emily.

Niffty: Help me, I have been blinded by Nobody.

By her call went unanswered as the soldiers started to escape.

Adam was the last to leave, but not before turning back to stare so with despair at the bloodied body of Emily.

Her eyes wide open as they were frozen in a state of pure terror.

Adam felt his throat go tight as he tried not to sob right then and there.

Adam: I’m so sorry…..

He quietly said to her before turning to the other soldiers and leaving.

As they got to the shoreline they saw the cyclops called Nifty was fully out of her cave and was crying and screaming in agonizing pain.

She cried for help, so desperate for help that she didn’t care of who answered.

Adam wondered if that’s how Emily felt in her final moments.

Turning back to face where Nifty was he called out to her,

Adam: Hey cyclops!

Even though she had no eyes she somehow managed to turn towards his direction.

Adam turned to glare at Sera as tears fell from his eyes.

Adam: Where you when Emily was killed? Better yet, where were you when the King of the Gods tortured me with visions of the future until I killed a baby? I was told gods were very powerful and wise, but it was interference from the gods that caused this war.

Sera looked hurt, but she was too proud to admit that she was wrong.

Adam: Do you have nothing else to say then I no longer need you. Go, I never want to see you again.

Adam turned away and a look of both anger and sadness crossed her face. She was going to tell Adam that Niffty was the favorite daughter of the sea god. But after what Adam said, she decided to let him figure it out on his own and left.

Many days later…

Adam didn’t understand it, but he was sure that he should have been home by now. During his journey he ran across the wind god who gave him a bag of powerful winds telling him not to open it. He was sure that no one but him had opened it.

Alastor: I found you.

Adam turned to see a man standing behind him that definitely wasn’t part of his crew. In one hand was a trident, this was Alastor the God of the Seas. Before Adam could say anything, Alastor slapped him hard enough to send him flying across the deck.

Adam: What was that for?

Alastor: The cyclops you blinded was my daughter.

Alastor strode over to Adam and grabbed him by the chin forcing him to look into his eyes.

Alastor: Beg for my forgiveness and I may spare everyone here.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I didn’t mean any harm, my soldiers were in danger and we were hungry. Please forgive me, do what you must to me, but don’t harm them.

Alastor let out a cruel laugh.

Alastor: We know you don’t truly mean that, you are a monster.

Suddenly Alastor was gone and Adam ran over to railing to see Alastor standing on the ocean. Adam screamed as Alastor summoned a storm sinking all but the ship that Adam was on.

Alastor: You went to Troy with six hundred soldiers and now now there are only forty-three left under your command.

Alastor gave Adam a mocking bow.

Alastor: Do you have any last words?

Adam: ……….

Alastor: What was that my boy? I don’t think I quite heard you.

Adam: …….A, All I……

Alastor: Yes? Come on, you were quite chatty when you blinded my daughter. Where is that boisterous pride in your voice now?! Come now SPEAK!

Adam looked up at him with red tinged eyes and a smile that unsettled the sea king.

Adam: ALL I HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THIS BAG!

Alastor gasped as a powerful gust of air suddenly surged forward pushing him down.

When he got up again he found Adam’s ship missing from view.

He growled low and deep and slammed the base of his trident onto the ocean floor.

Lute: Sir, and island ahead.

Adam ran out and saw a lush island with a castle on a hill. He wondered who lived there.

Adam: Lute, I am sending you out with a group to scout the place.

Lute: Yes sir.

Lute left and Adam sighed, he felt so lonely without Sera there to give him advice. But his pride refused to let him call out for help. So he went to take a nap where he dreamed. In his dream he was in bed with Eve.

Eve: Adam, my love, I have missed you so much.

Eve glowed with love and beauty that Adam was so enchanted by. But suddenly there loud pounding at the door and men demanding access to her. The door came down and men hidden by shadows came in pulling a crying Eve out of the bed as Adam was helpless to stop it.

Lute: ADAM!!!

Adam jolted up in his ship, he was surprised, Lute rarely called him Adam. He ran out to see a frantic Lute.

Adam: What happened?

Lute: That castle on the hill is the residence of a sorcerer. He invited us inside, but I stayed outside because I was suspicious. He gave them lots of food, but then it started to happen. They started to transform.

Adam: What were they turned into? Pigs?

Lute: No, they were all turned into ducks.

Adam: ……What?

Lute: I wish I could make this up but I’m not, he turned them into ducks, round them all up, then took them away. No doubt to cook them up for his next meal

Adam: I see, well then we have no time to lose we must make haste if we want to save them.

Adam took the forward steps to leave but was grabbed by Lute, preventing him from doing so.

Looking back at her he was faced with a complex and worried expression from her.

Adam: Lute? What’s wrong?

Lute: Sir, let’s just go.

Adam: Excuse me?

Lute sighed as she softly shook her head: Sir, Adam, we have lost so many already, so many of our friends. We can’t risk anymore deaths.

Adam: And so that means abandoning more soldiers to die?

Lute: If it means our remaining members alongside us survive then yes!

Fizzarolli: Whoah, you aren’t just going in there without a plan? If you do that you will be a duck too.

Fizzarolli was a trickster and messenger god. Sera feeling some remorse asked him to help Adam if he saw the king, she didn’t realize how desperate things were for Adam, but she knew he needed help.

Adam: What should I do since I don’t want to go around quacking and covered in feathers.

Fizzarolli pulled out a root plant.

Fizzarolli: This is moly, humans can’t harvest it, but for a god it’s really easy. Just eat it and you will be immune to Lucifer’s magic.

Adam realized that he didn’t know the sorcerer’s name, there was something about the name Lucifer that stirred a feeling in Adam that only Eve could do. Adam quickly grabbed the root and ate it.

In Lucifer’s castle…

Lucifer was lounging with one of his ducks softly petting the feathers.

Lucifer: I know that this form scares you now, but you will grow to love it. Others have.

The doors opened and Lucifer sat up straightening his deep red robes. Standing there was a man, a very handsome man.

Adam: Are you the sorcerer Lucifer?

Lucifer: Depends on why you have come here.

Adam: I am King Adam of Ithaca and you have turned my soldiers into ducks. I came here to demand you turn them back.

Lucifer: We can talk it over a nice goblet of wine.

Lucifer handed Adam a glass of wine with his magic. It was a shame that Adam had to be turned into a duck, but he had no other choice. Adam drank the entire glass, but he wasn’t turning into a duck.

But that……..wasn’t he supposed to….

Lucifer shook his head, trying not to get ahead of himself.

Believing his magic was simply taking its time he decided to simply wait as he made conversation.

Lucifer: So, what brings you to my little corner of the world?

Adam: Me and my crew mates simply came here to evade a king.

Lucifer: War is it?

Adam: Sort of…..

Lucifer: Well if you have troubles you wish to release to me, I’m all ears.~

He smiled at him charmingly as he fully lounged in his chair.

Hoping to make himself seductive for the man in front of him.

Not to actually bed him, but it would be easier to subdue one completely enamored with him as he fell for his charms.

Adam: I just want to go home, but something happened making it impossible.

Lucifer: My poor sweet king, tell me all about it.

Adam: From a young age I was King of the island of Ithaca because my father was sickly. When Anthony of Sparta came of age suitors came from all over Greece to seek his hand. I came, but for another purpose. I came to seek the hand of his cousin, Eve. We fell in love and I wanted to make her my Queen.

Lucifer: Did you?

Adam: Yes, I built her a home and we have a son, Abel. But Anthony was taken from his home and husband, so we had to go to war to get him back. The war lasted ten years and I am on my journey home.

Lucifer listened to Adam talk more about himself and his wife, he couldn’t help but loving both. But he was stuck here for angering the gods.

Lucifer: I will help you get home and turn your soldiers back to their original form.

Adam: You will?

Lucifer: Yes, the only way to find a route home is to go to the prophet, Zestiel. He resides in the Underworld because he has been dead for many years. But I know you are clever enough and brave enough for this task.

Adam: Thank you.

Adam and Lucifer were both surprised when Adam kissed Lucifer on the lips.

One would think that with a frame built like his, with a past of war and cruelty, the man before him wouldn’t know anything about the true pleasures of a soft kiss.

Lucifer wouldn’t lie, it actually made something tighten and clench down below.

When Adam at long last let go stared at Lucifer with so much appreciation and gratitude.

Adam: I may be a simple man, I have no riches to give you as of this moment, nor do I have anything of value on me, if we were in my kingdom I would have granted you a life time of gold and happiness…..I suppose though that even all the gold in a mortal’s kingdom is mere trinkets to an immortal.

Lucifer: Adam, I can tell you where the closest cave to the Underworld is, but the rest is up to you.

Adam: Thank you.

They shared one more kiss before Adam got back onto the ship.

Adam: To the Underworld.

It took nearly a year, but they finally made it. Once inside they went down and found themselves in the River of Styx. They heard cries from the dead, but one haunted Adam the most.

Emily: Greet the world with open arms.

Adam: Emily, I am so sorry.

Lute: Sir, it wasn’t your fault and I know Emily would feel the same way.

???: 🎶Waiting, waiting, I’m waiting for my son to come home.🎶

Adam broke down sobbing hearing that, that was his mother singing about waiting for him to come home. Adam’s mother was alive when he left, but she died recently because it was assumed that he died at sea. Only Eve held onto hope that he would soon return.

Adam: I am so sorry mom.

Once the ship docked, Adam got out and made his way through the shadows until he saw the shade he was looking for.

Zestiel: Welcome King of Ithaca.

Adam: Zestiel, I am here begging to find a way home.

Zestiel: The passage to Ithaca is drenched in blood, you must be willing to become a monster to go home.

Adam: I don’t care, I will kill anyone who gets between me and my family.

Zestiel saw things like Adam sacrificing his crew, attacking a god, and slaughtering the men that invaded his castle. He knew Adam had it in him to do this, but he wasn’t ready to know this, for now he would leave Adam in ignorant bliss.

Adam: I will become the monster.

Adam’s eyes were dull and filled with little life as he stared out the vast sea before him.

It was a rather lovely day, there were no clouds in the sky, the sun was shining which caused the water to glisten like sapphires.

It was beautiful yes, but when one spends so long here, and faced the true horrors underneath all Adam saw when he looked at it was a watery grave.

One wrong turn or move and it was over, he would be turned into a corpse along with his girls and they’d be sent to Hades faster than one would be able to blink.

Adam sighed as he leaned against the ships railing, placing his head into his folded arms and trying to keep himself from completely losing himself.

What was he to do….?

What was he meant to do?

What was he going to do?

How was he going to be the one to get himself and his crew home when he didn’t even know of where to start?

He felt hopeless and useless, Zestial told him of how becoming a monster was the only true way to get back to his wife and son but how exactly would that happen?

And to who….?

Lute: Sirens, they took on the form of the Queen and for some reason they took on the form of that sorcerer.

Adam blushed, they must have figured out his love for Eve and he didn’t know what he had going on with Lucifer right now.

Adam: We need to get wax in our ears, I will deal with them. I can read their lips and figure out what they are saying.

They did just that and Adam went up to the railing. As Lute said, there were a pair of sirens who took on the forms is Eve and Lucifer. They were holding out their arms to Adam and singing. A sirens song could drive one to madness and make a man jump in the water where he would drown. But with the wax in his ears he was immune, he knew they were begging Adam to jump into the water so they could take away his suffering.

Adam: Oh Eve, you know I am too shy and frightened. I can’t swim.

Adam had to keep himself from rolling his eyes. Being raised on an island had him learn to swim at a young age. The sirens kept begging him to jump into the water.

Adam: I have a tiny request before I jump in. Say I am trying to avoid the god, Alastor, where would I go to find the fastest route to Ithaca?

They told him that it would be through the lair of Leviathan because Alastor was too afraid to go there.

Adam: Leviathan demands a cost.

Adam would have to sacrifice six members of his crew to Leviathan for safe passage. This is what Zestiel meant by becoming a monster. Adam hated that he would have to do that, but he had no other choice. He was also going to have to deal with the sirens so they didn’t attack others. He grabbed his hidden bow and arrows before he started to shoot at them.

The one disguised as his queen screamed in agony as it hit her right in the eye.

Adam: LETS CUT THIS CHARADE YOU ARE NO LOVE OF MINE!

Seeing his injured friend the other siren grabbed onto her and dragged them behind the rock.

Adam: I know you, I know what you are and you will not be taking any of our lives today, siren!

A loud hiss echoed into the air as the once beautiful Queen of Ithica was now in her true form.

Long hair that was white as the clouds, skin as pink as coral, and once lustful yellow, red eyes that were now staring in pure rage at the king.

Adam glared right back: There are things you should know siren, I am in no way afraid of the water, my wife knows of this, and Lucifer is in no way our lover.

Though he wishes it was true.

Adam: Oh and there’s one more thing you should know.

Verosika: WHAT?!

Adam: While you were trying so hard to turn me and my crew into snacks,

Verosika yelped as rope was lassoed around her neck and was soon dragged onto the boat.

Adam: You didn’t notice that your friends got snatched!

Verosika: W, What?!

She tried to jump forward and attack him but unfortunately Lute got the better hand on her and quickly forced her down and tied her up.

Just as the rest of the crew did the same.

The soldiers: Yes sir.

Screams of the sirens filled the air as their tails cut off and they were thrown back into the ocean.

Adam: We are going to the lair of Leviathan.

It didn’t take long before they were in the lair of Leviathan. Adam then noticed that Lute looked nervous.

Adam: What is it Lute, you look worried.

Lute: If it wasn’t for me we would have been home sooner, I am so sorry.

Adam: What are you talking about?

Lute: When we so close to Ithaca curiosity got the better of me and I opened the bag of wind while you slept.

Lute expected Adam to scream at her, but he had an expressionless look on his face.

Adam: Pass out six torches.

Lute nodded and started to hand them out and something approached the ship. A two headed woman rose out of the water. One head was a beautiful human like head and the other was like a sea serpent.

Adam: ROW FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

As the rowed through the lair Leviathan attacked. To Lute’s horror she noticed that Leviathan was only eating soldiers that were holding torches and Adam knew that this would happen.

Leviathan: We are the same you and I, King of Ithaca.

Once six soldiers were dead, Leviathan left and the ship could leave.

Lute: How could you sacrifice six soldiers, we trusted you?

Lute: How could you do this to us?! How could you betray us?!

Adam didn’t say anything as his eyes stayed firmly on the ocean before him.

Lute: SAY SOMETHING!!!!

Adam: I CAN’T!!!

He screamed right back staring at her with a gaze that sent a chill down her spine.

In that moment she felt something shift, something cold and hot fueling her as she was now looking at her captain with a gaze she never delivered before.

Lute: Then I am afraid you have forced my hand.

In the blink of an eye she unsheathed her sword and pointed it towards her king.

Adam: What do you think you’re doing Lute!?

Lute: What’s right! You miss your wife so bad you’d trade the lives of your own crew!

She unsheathed her sword ready to fight her captain and king in order to protect everyone else on the boat. Adam unsheathed his and they clashed. Both were great fighters, but Adam would have one if someone hadn’t snuck up behind him and stabbed him. The ship erupted in chaos as Lute ran over to Adam as he blacked out.

Hours later…

Adam woke up feeling groggy, his wound was treated and bandaged. He was also chained to a tree on an island.

Adam: Where are we?

Lute: We found this island filled with cattle and a statue of one of the sun gods.

Adam gasped seeing the statue, it was the sun god who was Lucifer’s father. He was not just a god, but a powerful titan.

Adam: Please tell me you aren’t thinking of killing some of the cattle.

Lute: We are starving and desperate.

Adam: That isn’t going to make the punishment we receive worth it.

Lute said nothing and approached one of the cows. Adam strained against the chains and with a strength he didn’t know that he had, they started to break. But it wasn’t enough, Lute used her sword to behead one of the cows. Adam ran over and grabbed Lute as the sky went dark.

Adam: WE NEED TO GO NOW WHO KNOWS WHO THEY WILL SEND!!!

It didn’t matter that they got onto the boat and onto the sea once lightning filled the sky.

Adam: It’s too late, we’re doomed.

“You know, they say that pride is a damsel in distress.”

The clouds parted and everyone gasped upon seeing none other than the king of the gods himself.

Satan……

Satan: Pride can act all fluttery and scared just like a helpless damsel when it is in front of the most powerful of beings. And I being who I am? Well let’s say that makes all of you none too brave now in my presence.

He grinned down on all of them as if he were a wolf that had found a herd of sheep.

For that was what they were, prey.

No longer the bloodthirsty beasts that could trample on anything that got in their way.

They have now been reduced to shaking, frightened little sheep that knew they would be killed today in a thoughtless slaughter.

However, it wasn’t thoughtless, it was retaliation for going against the gods.

Satan: Well, well, well.~ If it isn’t the cute little king from Troy! My, my don’t you look like you’re in quite the predicament. Aren’t you?

Adam: M, M, My all powerful god I beg of you, mercy-

Satan: You must now choose.

Adam: Choose?

Satan: Someone has to die today. You or your crew?

Adam: Please don’t make me do this.

The crew thought that Adam would choose them until Satan made an illusion of Eve appear. Her gold hair shimmering, her freckles almost like stars, her silvery eyes glowed, and even the small gap in her front teeth was quite attractive.

Eve: I can take your suffering from you. Let me take your suffering from you.

The illusion of Eve went over to Adam and kissed him before disappearing. The crew knew their fate was sealed.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I have to see her again.

Lute: But we’ll die.

Adam: I know.

Satan had a cruel smile knowing Adam made his choice. He started to use his powers to destroy the boat killing everyone on board except for Adam. Adam had passed out from shock and in the morning he washed up on an island. He was approached by a woman with very long blonde hair and violet eyes. She watched him sleep for a couple hours as he called out to Eve. Slowly he woke up.

Lilith: Morning sleepyhead.

Adam: Who are you, where am I?

Lilith: I am Lilith and this is my island. You talked in your sleep who is Eve?

Adam: She’s my wife.

But Lilith ignored him and dragged him off as she decided that he would be her lover even if she was already married.

Adam: Unhand me, I will kill you.

Lilith: Last time I checked goddesses can’t die.

Adam: Goddess?

Fear settled into him as she forced him to lay down and she used her powers to make him turned on before she took him as he silently cried. Adam would be stuck in this tropical hell for the next seven years.

(7 years later, present day)

The sun arose on the island of Ithica, day had once more come again for its people as many awoke to its light.

One of these people was none other than the Prince of Ithica himself the someday king Abel.

Light came onto his eyes causing them to open up, awakening him from his sleep.

He yawned tiredly as he sat up in his bed, turning to the open window he left out for the cool air to come in while he slept.

He sighed as he moved to get out of bed, once he was awake he could not go back to sleep until it was time for him to retire once more.

Donning a shawl to help him cover up he went out of his room and decided to take a morning bath.

Vincent: Boy, when is your tramp of a mother going to choose a new husband. Why don’t you open the doors of her chambers so we can have some fun.

Vincent was the leader of the suitors and the most bold of them. Only he would be vile enough to suggest Abel help them gain access to Eve so they could rape her.

Abel: Don’t you dare call my mother a tramp.

Suddenly they were surrounded by other men. The main ones Abel noticed were Valentino, a man who called himself Striker, and Andrealphus. There were others, but those were Vincent’s cronies.

Vincent: I just did, what are you going to do about it?

The crowd chanted for a fight to begin as they mockingly called Abel little wolf. One of the names Adam was called was the Wolf of Ithaca because he was ferocious and cunning in battle. It seemed like they called him that because they were implying he was nothing like his father. Not even like his own mother who was also a warrior in her own right because she was of Sparta like Anthony. The fight started and things weren’t going well for Abel when time stopped.

Sera: Need some help?

Abel: What’s going on here? Why is a goddess helping me.

Sera: I suggest you fight instead of just standing there. Uppercut him now.

Time went back to normal and Abel gave Vincent an uppercut making him fall. Abel then ran to the balcony where Sera was standing.

Abel: Why did you help me?

Sera: I helped your father and I wanted to help you too because you are a good man. Where is your father?

Abel: He never came back.

Sera: What?

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera was surprised that Adam was now calling out for help.

Sera: Your father needs me.

Abel gasped and in the next moment she was gone.

He……he was alive……?

He was alive……

He was alive.

He was alive!

HIS FATHER WAS ALIVE!

Abel: MY FATHER IS COMING HOME!!

He danced in joy on the balcony, tears of pure happiness flowing freely down his cheeks.

He held himself as he now knew the truth that everyone else refused to believe.

His father was alive and would resume his role as king.

He and his mother were safe!

Eve was working tirelessly at her loom when Abel ran in. The old dog Argos looked up hopefully wanting it to be the King returning home, but it wasn’t. So he looked down sadly still waiting like he had been for the last twenty years.

Eve: Son, what is it?

Abel: Mother, you were right, father is alive. I received a visit from the goddess Sera herself and suddenly she said that father needed her before she left. Father will soon be home.

Eve wept with joy as she looked upon the unstrung bow hanging on the wall. She knew Adam was alive and he was trying to find a way home. He would come home, get rid of the vile suitors, and they could be a family again.

Eve: I knew he was alive, he promised me that he would come home no matter what. You must be prepared, find allies and take my spear.

Abel: Of course mother.

On the island of Lilith…

Adam kept crying out for Sera hoping she would save him, but so far she hadn’t come. Did she truly turn her back on him? It had been seven years of being drugged by Lilith so she could have her way with him and he wouldn’t cry for his family. Seven years of being raped by a goddess.

Adam: Sera, please I am so sorry. I just want to go home.

He stood on the edge of a cliff feeling like the only escape now was jumping. He had only gotten here because the drugs Lilith forced down his throat wore off and she had been busy elsewhere. Before he could fling himself off the cliff, Lilith grabbed him and started to drag him away so she could drug him and rape him again.

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera watched in horror over what happened to Adam ever since she had turned her back on him. She didn’t think things would be this bad for him. She had to help him go home.

Sera: The only thing I can think of is to convince the other gods to release him and get the help of a certain sorcerer to help if the gods agree with me.

She wasn’t happy with having to go to the gods, but she had no other choice.

It was another beautiful day in the land of the gods, the sun was shining as the immortals walked upon paths of cloud and jewels.

But in one area that was designated for court to take place among them the king of the sky sat upon his throne waiting for the next case to come.

Hoping that this one might not be so boring. Fortunately for him, he was about to receive that wish.

The doors were pushed open and in flew a goddess covered in rage and sorrow.

Sera

Sera looked up at the king with an expression she hoped that would show her pride on her sleeve.

Sera: King of the gods, sovereign over the kingdom of Olympus, and father to all I beg of you for a favor.

Sera: The king of Ithaca, the man called Adam, he is imprisoned on the island which houses the same prisoner the titan goddess Lilith.

Satan: And?

Sera: And I wish for you to release him.

Satan: ……Release him…..release a man whom shame covers his person like cloth. A man whom has caused more bloodshed than that of even the might of us. Someone who deserves no mercy whatsoever…..yet you wish to let him go?

Sera: Yes, he does not deserve the fate he has been given.

Satan: I see……you know this might actually be an interesting question of if I should let him go or not. And I wish to see where it shall take us. How about a wager?

Sera: Wager?

Satan nodded: If you can convince the jury of my choosing, all of them, then I shall let Adam go.

Sera: Who is this jury?

Suddenly there was Peter lounging in front of Sera strumming his lyre looking rather bored.

Peter: He had slaughtered the sirens after they had given him helpful advice.

Thankfully Sera watched what Adam went through ever since she had left him.

Sera: They were planning on killing him and now the other sirens will think twice before trying to tempt sailors to their watery doom.

Peter: If that’s the case then release him.

He went away and was replaced by Ozzie who looked firm in his convictions.

Ozzie: Adam sacrificed his crew instead of taking the blame as a leader.

Sera: He warned them to not kill the cattle and they acted without his blessing.

Ozzie: Release him.

Suddenly he was gone and Stolas was there looking seductive.

Stolas: His desire to spill blood caused his mother to die.

Sera: He couldn’t help his obligations to fight for love.

Stolas: He could have found a way out of this.

Sera: Please listen to me.

Suddenly Stolas was joined by his lover, Blitzø.

Blitzø: Adam was a coward using that horse instead of fighting honorably and he passed his cowardice onto his son.

Sera: Hold your tongue, I know that if he is released his wrath will be legendary. He will kill more to get home.

Blitzø smirked at the thought of Adam finally unleashing his warrior’s strength.

Stolas and Blitzø: Release him.

They were replaced by Bel.

Bel: Convince me.

Sera: He is brave and smart…

Bel: Boring.

Sera: He never cheated on his wife.

Bel then glared up at Satan so he could see her in the eyes.

Bel: Release him.

Satan: HOW DARE YOU BEAT ME AT MY OWN GAME!!!

Sera flew at Satan ready to fight him even though he was much stronger than her.

Sera: Please release him.

A sad look crossed Satan’s eyes because his wrath hurt Sera.

Satan: Release him.

Now Sera had to go to Lucifer to make a deal with him because he would be able to help Adam.

Lucifer sighed as he lounged against his throne, chatter amongst himself from his nymphs, all happily talking with one another as they ate only the most splendid of meals.

Drinking only the most rare of wine and over all having a spectacular time in the presence of a deity.

However, there was one being whose mind was on more sorrowful specks of ideas than being in the moment of joy.

That person of course was none other than the host.

Lucifer stared into the golden goblet that he held sullenly as he lightly swirled the drink around.

How the most tinniest of the fruits, so small and unassuming that when fermented can create a drink so powerful that it can turn kings into fools.

Unfortunately it would do no such thing to an immortal such as Lucifer.

The only thing that a drink like this was made for was to quench his thirst.

Hardly anything on this island he could use to create the wine for the gods.

He can’t even make simple things like that once he had been imprisoned.

Lucifer: Do you need something from me?

Sera: I am here to offer you freedom?

Lucifer: Is there something you need for me to do and how will my nymphs be protected.

Sera: I will place my protection on the nymphs as for what I need you to do, I need you to help free Adam.

Lucifer perked up hearing Adam, it had been years since the handsome King of Ithaca had graced his island and Lucifer wished he could see him again.

Lucifer: What happened? I would think he would be home with his beloved wife especially since I heard his son is soon to be wed.

Sera: Lilith, another goddess held prisoner on an island has taken Adam as his sex slave. I need him home in Ithaca to slay the suitors that infested his home and so he can have peace. You are the only person who can do that for him.

Lucifer: Of course, take me to him.

Suddenly Lucifer was on Lilith’s island, his heart broke seeing Adam chained to Lilith’s throne.

Lilith: What are you doing here? Be gone.

Lucifer: I am here because Adam is not meant to waste away on your island. He is a King who has a family.

Lilith: He is mine and I will not give him up.

Lucifer: You idiot, if you don’t release him you will bring down the wrath of the gods who will punish you with untold horrors.

Suddenly a loud crack of thunder sounded showing Lilith that Lucifer wasn’t lying. The goddess ran as Lucifer made his way to Adam. The King looked up and had a hopeful smile.

Adam: You came to save me?

Lucifer: Yes, we are going home. It won’t be easy because of the monsters, but I will protect you.

Adam: Thank you.

Adam spent days building a raft as Lilith begged Adam to stay until Lucifer chased her away.

Fizzarolli: Looks like things are going well, I have your bag of wind to return to you. But this time don’t open it.

Adam: Ok, I still don’t understand this.

Lucifer: It must be a test or something, but we will tackle this together.

The sorcerer and king then got on the raft to go home to Ithaca.

For weeks they sailed the waters, the ocean trying its damn best to drown them and keep them down but with the help of a literal god the water didn’t stand a chance.

Adam and Lucifer prevailed through every hurdle that came their way, every single thing that wish to keep them down.

However, all those obstacles paled in favor of the true monster in the middle.

Charybis

The legendary sea beast that chewed up any ship that got too close along with its crew.

That was what Adam needed to face in order to get home.

This was his final challenge.

And he would not fail.

Lucifer: Now remember Adam when the water picks up its speed and you begin to see what appears to be the fins of sharks do know they are not that.

Adam: They are then?

Lucifer: None other than the fangs of Charybdis, designed to slice and impale anything that gets into her mouth.

Adam gave him a short nod: Got it.

Lucifer: Are you sure you’re up for this?

Adam: We both need to grab the rope and use it to steer. It will also keep us from being sucked into Charybdis.

Lucifer: That is really smart.

Adam: I am a warrior of the mind after all.

Lucifer could see why Sera favored Adam so much with how clever he was. They were able to make it by Charybdis without getting sucked into the middle. But there were a couple close call with the teeth. Once away, Adam cut the rope and flopped onto the raft as Lucifer sat by him.

Lucifer: What is Ithaca like?

He wanted to know what this island ruled over was like.

Adam: It’s so beautiful, filled with sheep and olives. We use the wool and cheese from the sheep as well as the olive oil to thrive. It isn’t the most powerful part of the Greek city states, but it is quite wealthy. I miss my home.

Lucifer could see that, twenty years away from home and family must have been painful.

Adam: Thank you for saving me.

Lucifer: I would do anything for you and Eve.

A few days later, Adam got excited when he saw Ithaca on the horizon.

Adam: Home.

But suddenly the water went dark and Alastor rose out of the water.

Alastor: There you are coward.

Adam: No…

Lucifer: What do you want with Adam when he is so close to home.

Alastor: I only want one thing from him, I just want him to get into the water. And if he refuses to get in the water, I will flood all of Ithaca.

Abel sighed as he got back on his ship. It had been twenty years since the war against Troy and no one had seen his father. Abel’s father was the King of an island called Ithaca named Adam. He never really knew his father because he was a baby when he left for war. But the Queen and Abel’s mother, Eve, told him that he was a brave, clever, cunning, handsome, strong, and loving man. She bragged about how Adam could string a bow that was impossible for others and shoot an arrow through twelve axe heads.

Abel: Dad, mom really believes that you are alive and I hope that she is right. We could really use your help.

When the war had ended ten years ago and Adam hadn’t returned home, many believed that he died on the journey home along with the soldiers who went with him. Suitors from all around descended upon the castle hoping to woo Eve. But Eve was convinced Adam was alive and would come back to her. But they refused to leave and demanded that she remarry. In spite of everything, Eve never lost faith in the man she fell in love with and married.

Ten years ago…

It was sweltering inside of the large wooden horse, but if things went the way they were supposed to, they would soon be in Troy. Adam had been given this idea to sneak soldiers into Troy through a large wooden horse that was disguised as a blessing to the gods from his patron goddess, Sera. He was honestly surprised that Sera came up with a plan so bold and sacrilegious. But Sera always thought like him. The plan worked and the horse Adam and some soldiers were in was taken into Troy. Everyone threw a celebration thinking they won the war.

Emily: Are they all asleep.

Lute: Quiet or they may hear us.

Adam: They are probably too drunk to notice.

Adam opened the hatch and he got out with Sera and Emily following him as they made it to the gates. Adam opened and the armies were waiting. Adam would be forever haunted by what happened that night, but he would do it all again if it meant he could go home to his wife and son.

Adam: Lute! Emily!

Lute: Yes sir?

Adam: Go and find Anthony and carefully escort him out the city. Be sure to use the safest route there is.

Anthony, the reason why the war started in the first place, the Queen of Sparta had been cruelly taken against his will by one of the three princes of Troy and it was up to Adam and his soldiers to rescue and get him back to his husband.

He had no doubts that it would finally happen tonight.

Lute: Yes sir!

Emily: You can count on us sir!

Adam nodded before turning to look around at his other soldiers, mostly women with hearts made for battle, and he knew one word on his mind to tell them.

Adam: Attack.

And they were soon thrusted into battle, fighting and killing their way through the city, slaughtering any soldier that came into their field of vision.

But the battle was going good for them, better than good when a goddess was on their side.

They were so close to victory, so close to the freedom of war being over, it right at the tip of their tongues-

A blinding flash of light made Adam scream and drop his weapon as searing pain coursed through his torso.

He quickly checked to find blood from an open wound but found nothing.

Adam: W, What was that?

Adam froze in fear, that was the King of the Gods. He had remained neutral in this war and Adam didn’t know why he was hearing this. Just then he saw flashes of Eve and Abel being cut down as he cried out unable to help. He hadn’t see his son ever since he was a baby and he would now be ten years old.

Adam: How can I make this stop?

King of the Gods: Up in the tower is the one who will kill you and your family. You must go up there and end him.

Adam ran as fast as he could up the tower tears blinding his eyes. He thought of Eve, the woman he fell in love with while others wanted Anthony. Them meeting under the olive tree that he would carve into their wedding bed, the castle he had built around it because he didn’t want to uproot the tree. Their wedding night, Eve being pregnant with Abel. He stood in front of the door gasping.

King of the Gods: Behind that door is what will become your darkest nightmares, end it now.

Adam broke down the door and he was confused expecting to see a warrior ready to maim and kill, but all he saw was a crib. He walked over and was shocked to see a sleeping baby. This was the son of the eldest Prince of Troy, who had died in battle.

Adam: I can’t do this, he is an innocent baby. Let me take him home and raise him.

But he wasn’t allowed that, he was tormented by visions of the baby growing up in his home. But as he grew up and found the truth, darkness took root in his heart and he slaughtered the entire royal family of Ithaca before having the place burned.

Adam: NOOOOO!!!!

King of the Gods: Then you know what you must do.

Adam gathered the baby in his arms and walked out of to the balcony seeing the city burn. Screams filling the night all because of the selfish desires of one prince.

Adam: I am so sorry, but I’m just a man.

He closed his eyes as he dropped the baby off the edge of the balcony.

The next day…

Thankfully Husk found Anthony and the royal couple were happily reunited ready to return to Sparta.

Husk: Adam, thank you for helping me get my husband back to me.

Adam: Of course, I know you would do anything if the same happened to Eve.

Husk: Of course.

Anthony: Tell Eve, I would like to see her again. It’s been too long since I saw her.

With that everyone prepared to set sail, that night weighing heavy on Adam’s mind. But he couldn’t let that drag him down because soon he would be home. He just realize that it would take him another ten years to get there.

The first few weeks of sailing went about as smooth as a stream, nice and clean with zero problems.

It wouldn’t be too long now until they made it back to Ithica, Adam knew that.

If he remembered correctly it was about a month of sailing until they reached the kingdom of Troy when they first took off for war.

So it would make sense that it would be the same for the way home.

Speaking of home all the soldiers were celebrating vibrantly as they took pride in knowing they finally at long last won the war.

They all felt in their bones that only two ways for them to continue on in this.

They either would die on the battlefield or win the war and go home, luckily for them it was the latter.

So because of their survival and the fact that they would soon be back in their kingdom they all celebrated through the one thing that made everything merry.

Wine

Rich, delicious wine that they stole from the Trojans. It was so good in fact that they would even call it Troy’s greatest treasure.

Lute: We should just raid the place and go.

Emily: We can’t treat everything like a war especially with what happened in the last war. Not everyone is an enemy.

Adam: Emily is right, she will go with me and we will see if there are people who can provide food.

Emily followed off the ship and Adam had bow and some arrows, Emily just had her spear at hand.

Emily: You seem troubled my friend.

Adam: I have a lot on my mind.

Adam was thinking of the war and all of its horrors and getting home. He could sleep easier in Eve’s arms. Maybe he could soon sleep without hearing screams.

Emily: The war is over, you can relax now. We will be home soon, but for now we can greet the world with open arms.

Suddenly Adam heard movement in the bushes and aimed his bow. It wasn’t prized bow that only he could use, but it would get the job done even if it wasn’t as powerful. Just then a little creature munching on a lotus flower tumbled out of the bush.

Adam: What are you?

Emily: I think that could be a winion who work for the wind god and they are eating lotus flowers that can effect you in different ways like making you extremely euphoric and forget things. Why don’t you put that away and I will try something.

Adam put away his bow as Emily knelt in front of the winion.

Emily: Hello friend, we are travelers looking for food. Do you know where we can find some.

Winion: A cave filled with sheep and cheese.

Emily: Wonderful.

Adam and Emily then left to get some people to gather food.

Winion: Scary cave.

It didn’t take long to find the cave. There was nice fat sheep, lovely wheels of cheese, and some other types of food. Adam aimed an arrow and shot one of the sheep which fell over dead.

Lute: Good shot sir.

Adam: Thank you.

Just then they heard a scream of horror. There was a woman with one eye that was the height of two of Adam which was impressive since he was already a very tall man kneeling in front of the dead sheep.

Niffty: WHO KILLED MY FAVORITE SHEEP!!!

Uh oh…….

Nifty: Oh……Oh Billy………you poor little thing.

The tall creature sniffled, water falling out of her one eye as she picked up the sheep and held it against her body.

All the soldiers kept quiet as they tried their best to move away from her and out the exit.

Unfortunately for them it wouldn’t be too easy.

Nifty: You killed him…….you killed my friend……..what gives you the damn right to commit such an act….?

Her large red eye was now directed onto them the soldiers as she glared in pure anger.

Her sorrow deep and cut as she wished them all dead.

Nifty: Who even are you?! Why are you here?!

Adam: Please forgive us! We had no idea this cave was somebody’s home we just wished to find food and possible shelter-

Nifty: How dare you! HOW DARE YOU ALL!!! You come into my home thinking you can kill such an innocent creature!?

Adam: We were simply hungry-

Niffty: What do you have that would make up for my loss.

Adam: This wine good enough for the gods.

Adam motioned to Lute who handed him the wine skin. Adam opened it and snuck in some lotus flowers petals, he was sure that this euphoric state could also put someone to sleep.

Adam: Here.

Niffty: What is your name, mine is Niffty. I think it’s fair to know your name as well.

Adam: My name is Nobody.

Niffty: Nobody?

Everyone looked so confused.

Adam: Yes, Nobody.

Niffty then gulped down the wine.

Niffty: That was so good, Nobody. For that you will be the only one I kill.

Adam froze in horror until Niffty fell asleep. The group ran to the cave entrance. But it was blocked by a boulder.

Lute: FUCK!!!

Emily: What do we do?

Adam: I have an idea.

They started to work on a log, sharpening the end. They would drive it into Niffty’s eye, the horror at everything being dark would make her open the cave not realizing she was blind. It worked too well because when Niffty grabbed the boulder, she threw it hoping to kill a soldier and it only killed one, Emily.

Niffty: Help me, I have been blinded by Nobody.

By her call went unanswered as the soldiers started to escape.

Adam was the last to leave, but not before turning back to stare so with despair at the bloodied body of Emily.

Her eyes wide open as they were frozen in a state of pure terror.

Adam felt his throat go tight as he tried not to sob right then and there.

Adam: I’m so sorry…..

He quietly said to her before turning to the other soldiers and leaving.

As they got to the shoreline they saw the cyclops called Nifty was fully out of her cave and was crying and screaming in agonizing pain.

She cried for help, so desperate for help that she didn’t care of who answered.

Adam wondered if that’s how Emily felt in her final moments.

Turning back to face where Nifty was he called out to her,

Adam: Hey cyclops!

Even though she had no eyes she somehow managed to turn towards his direction.

Adam turned to glare at Sera as tears fell from his eyes.

Adam: Where you when Emily was killed? Better yet, where were you when the King of the Gods tortured me with visions of the future until I killed a baby? I was told gods were very powerful and wise, but it was interference from the gods that caused this war.

Sera looked hurt, but she was too proud to admit that she was wrong.

Adam: Do you have nothing else to say then I no longer need you. Go, I never want to see you again.

Adam turned away and a look of both anger and sadness crossed her face. She was going to tell Adam that Niffty was the favorite daughter of the sea god. But after what Adam said, she decided to let him figure it out on his own and left.

Many days later…

Adam didn’t understand it, but he was sure that he should have been home by now. During his journey he ran across the wind god who gave him a bag of powerful winds telling him not to open it. He was sure that no one but him had opened it.

Alastor: I found you.

Adam turned to see a man standing behind him that definitely wasn’t part of his crew. In one hand was a trident, this was Alastor the God of the Seas. Before Adam could say anything, Alastor slapped him hard enough to send him flying across the deck.

Adam: What was that for?

Alastor: The cyclops you blinded was my daughter.

Alastor strode over to Adam and grabbed him by the chin forcing him to look into his eyes.

Alastor: Beg for my forgiveness and I may spare everyone here.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I didn’t mean any harm, my soldiers were in danger and we were hungry. Please forgive me, do what you must to me, but don’t harm them.

Alastor let out a cruel laugh.

Alastor: We know you don’t truly mean that, you are a monster.

Suddenly Alastor was gone and Adam ran over to railing to see Alastor standing on the ocean. Adam screamed as Alastor summoned a storm sinking all but the ship that Adam was on.

Alastor: You went to Troy with six hundred soldiers and now now there are only forty-three left under your command.

Alastor gave Adam a mocking bow.

Alastor: Do you have any last words?

Adam: ……….

Alastor: What was that my boy? I don’t think I quite heard you.

Adam: …….A, All I……

Alastor: Yes? Come on, you were quite chatty when you blinded my daughter. Where is that boisterous pride in your voice now?! Come now SPEAK!

Adam looked up at him with red tinged eyes and a smile that unsettled the sea king.

Adam: ALL I HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THIS BAG!

Alastor gasped as a powerful gust of air suddenly surged forward pushing him down.

When he got up again he found Adam’s ship missing from view.

He growled low and deep and slammed the base of his trident onto the ocean floor.

Lute: Sir, and island ahead.

Adam ran out and saw a lush island with a castle on a hill. He wondered who lived there.

Adam: Lute, I am sending you out with a group to scout the place.

Lute: Yes sir.

Lute left and Adam sighed, he felt so lonely without Sera there to give him advice. But his pride refused to let him call out for help. So he went to take a nap where he dreamed. In his dream he was in bed with Eve.

Eve: Adam, my love, I have missed you so much.

Eve glowed with love and beauty that Adam was so enchanted by. But suddenly there loud pounding at the door and men demanding access to her. The door came down and men hidden by shadows came in pulling a crying Eve out of the bed as Adam was helpless to stop it.

Lute: ADAM!!!

Adam jolted up in his ship, he was surprised, Lute rarely called him Adam. He ran out to see a frantic Lute.

Adam: What happened?

Lute: That castle on the hill is the residence of a sorcerer. He invited us inside, but I stayed outside because I was suspicious. He gave them lots of food, but then it started to happen. They started to transform.

Adam: What were they turned into? Pigs?

Lute: No, they were all turned into ducks.

Adam: ……What?

Lute: I wish I could make this up but I’m not, he turned them into ducks, round them all up, then took them away. No doubt to cook them up for his next meal

Adam: I see, well then we have no time to lose we must make haste if we want to save them.

Adam took the forward steps to leave but was grabbed by Lute, preventing him from doing so.

Looking back at her he was faced with a complex and worried expression from her.

Adam: Lute? What’s wrong?

Lute: Sir, let’s just go.

Adam: Excuse me?

Lute sighed as she softly shook her head: Sir, Adam, we have lost so many already, so many of our friends. We can’t risk anymore deaths.

Adam: And so that means abandoning more soldiers to die?

Lute: If it means our remaining members alongside us survive then yes!

Fizzarolli: Whoah, you aren’t just going in there without a plan? If you do that you will be a duck too.

Fizzarolli was a trickster and messenger god. Sera feeling some remorse asked him to help Adam if he saw the king, she didn’t realize how desperate things were for Adam, but she knew he needed help.

Adam: What should I do since I don’t want to go around quacking and covered in feathers.

Fizzarolli pulled out a root plant.

Fizzarolli: This is moly, humans can’t harvest it, but for a god it’s really easy. Just eat it and you will be immune to Lucifer’s magic.

Adam realized that he didn’t know the sorcerer’s name, there was something about the name Lucifer that stirred a feeling in Adam that only Eve could do. Adam quickly grabbed the root and ate it.

In Lucifer’s castle…

Lucifer was lounging with one of his ducks softly petting the feathers.

Lucifer: I know that this form scares you now, but you will grow to love it. Others have.

The doors opened and Lucifer sat up straightening his deep red robes. Standing there was a man, a very handsome man.

Adam: Are you the sorcerer Lucifer?

Lucifer: Depends on why you have come here.

Adam: I am King Adam of Ithaca and you have turned my soldiers into ducks. I came here to demand you turn them back.

Lucifer: We can talk it over a nice goblet of wine.

Lucifer handed Adam a glass of wine with his magic. It was a shame that Adam had to be turned into a duck, but he had no other choice. Adam drank the entire glass, but he wasn’t turning into a duck.

But that……..wasn’t he supposed to….

Lucifer shook his head, trying not to get ahead of himself.

Believing his magic was simply taking its time he decided to simply wait as he made conversation.

Lucifer: So, what brings you to my little corner of the world?

Adam: Me and my crew mates simply came here to evade a king.

Lucifer: War is it?

Adam: Sort of…..

Lucifer: Well if you have troubles you wish to release to me, I’m all ears.~

He smiled at him charmingly as he fully lounged in his chair.

Hoping to make himself seductive for the man in front of him.

Not to actually bed him, but it would be easier to subdue one completely enamored with him as he fell for his charms.

Adam: I just want to go home, but something happened making it impossible.

Lucifer: My poor sweet king, tell me all about it.

Adam: From a young age I was King of the island of Ithaca because my father was sickly. When Anthony of Sparta came of age suitors came from all over Greece to seek his hand. I came, but for another purpose. I came to seek the hand of his cousin, Eve. We fell in love and I wanted to make her my Queen.

Lucifer: Did you?

Adam: Yes, I built her a home and we have a son, Abel. But Anthony was taken from his home and husband, so we had to go to war to get him back. The war lasted ten years and I am on my journey home.

Lucifer listened to Adam talk more about himself and his wife, he couldn’t help but loving both. But he was stuck here for angering the gods.

Lucifer: I will help you get home and turn your soldiers back to their original form.

Adam: You will?

Lucifer: Yes, the only way to find a route home is to go to the prophet, Zestiel. He resides in the Underworld because he has been dead for many years. But I know you are clever enough and brave enough for this task.

Adam: Thank you.

Adam and Lucifer were both surprised when Adam kissed Lucifer on the lips.

One would think that with a frame built like his, with a past of war and cruelty, the man before him wouldn’t know anything about the true pleasures of a soft kiss.

Lucifer wouldn’t lie, it actually made something tighten and clench down below.

When Adam at long last let go stared at Lucifer with so much appreciation and gratitude.

Adam: I may be a simple man, I have no riches to give you as of this moment, nor do I have anything of value on me, if we were in my kingdom I would have granted you a life time of gold and happiness…..I suppose though that even all the gold in a mortal’s kingdom is mere trinkets to an immortal.

Lucifer: Adam, I can tell you where the closest cave to the Underworld is, but the rest is up to you.

Adam: Thank you.

They shared one more kiss before Adam got back onto the ship.

Adam: To the Underworld.

It took nearly a year, but they finally made it. Once inside they went down and found themselves in the River of Styx. They heard cries from the dead, but one haunted Adam the most.

Emily: Greet the world with open arms.

Adam: Emily, I am so sorry.

Lute: Sir, it wasn’t your fault and I know Emily would feel the same way.

???: 🎶Waiting, waiting, I’m waiting for my son to come home.🎶

Adam broke down sobbing hearing that, that was his mother singing about waiting for him to come home. Adam’s mother was alive when he left, but she died recently because it was assumed that he died at sea. Only Eve held onto hope that he would soon return.

Adam: I am so sorry mom.

Once the ship docked, Adam got out and made his way through the shadows until he saw the shade he was looking for.

Zestiel: Welcome King of Ithaca.

Adam: Zestiel, I am here begging to find a way home.

Zestiel: The passage to Ithaca is drenched in blood, you must be willing to become a monster to go home.

Adam: I don’t care, I will kill anyone who gets between me and my family.

Zestiel saw things like Adam sacrificing his crew, attacking a god, and slaughtering the men that invaded his castle. He knew Adam had it in him to do this, but he wasn’t ready to know this, for now he would leave Adam in ignorant bliss.

Adam: I will become the monster.

Adam’s eyes were dull and filled with little life as he stared out the vast sea before him.

It was a rather lovely day, there were no clouds in the sky, the sun was shining which caused the water to glisten like sapphires.

It was beautiful yes, but when one spends so long here, and faced the true horrors underneath all Adam saw when he looked at it was a watery grave.

One wrong turn or move and it was over, he would be turned into a corpse along with his girls and they’d be sent to Hades faster than one would be able to blink.

Adam sighed as he leaned against the ships railing, placing his head into his folded arms and trying to keep himself from completely losing himself.

What was he to do….?

What was he meant to do?

What was he going to do?

How was he going to be the one to get himself and his crew home when he didn’t even know of where to start?

He felt hopeless and useless, Zestial told him of how becoming a monster was the only true way to get back to his wife and son but how exactly would that happen?

And to who….?

Lute: Sirens, they took on the form of the Queen and for some reason they took on the form of that sorcerer.

Adam blushed, they must have figured out his love for Eve and he didn’t know what he had going on with Lucifer right now.

Adam: We need to get wax in our ears, I will deal with them. I can read their lips and figure out what they are saying.

They did just that and Adam went up to the railing. As Lute said, there were a pair of sirens who took on the forms is Eve and Lucifer. They were holding out their arms to Adam and singing. A sirens song could drive one to madness and make a man jump in the water where he would drown. But with the wax in his ears he was immune, he knew they were begging Adam to jump into the water so they could take away his suffering.

Adam: Oh Eve, you know I am too shy and frightened. I can’t swim.

Adam had to keep himself from rolling his eyes. Being raised on an island had him learn to swim at a young age. The sirens kept begging him to jump into the water.

Adam: I have a tiny request before I jump in. Say I am trying to avoid the god, Alastor, where would I go to find the fastest route to Ithaca?

They told him that it would be through the lair of Leviathan because Alastor was too afraid to go there.

Adam: Leviathan demands a cost.

Adam would have to sacrifice six members of his crew to Leviathan for safe passage. This is what Zestiel meant by becoming a monster. Adam hated that he would have to do that, but he had no other choice. He was also going to have to deal with the sirens so they didn’t attack others. He grabbed his hidden bow and arrows before he started to shoot at them.

The one disguised as his queen screamed in agony as it hit her right in the eye.

Adam: LETS CUT THIS CHARADE YOU ARE NO LOVE OF MINE!

Seeing his injured friend the other siren grabbed onto her and dragged them behind the rock.

Adam: I know you, I know what you are and you will not be taking any of our lives today, siren!

A loud hiss echoed into the air as the once beautiful Queen of Ithica was now in her true form.

Long hair that was white as the clouds, skin as pink as coral, and once lustful yellow, red eyes that were now staring in pure rage at the king.

Adam glared right back: There are things you should know siren, I am in no way afraid of the water, my wife knows of this, and Lucifer is in no way our lover.

Though he wishes it was true.

Adam: Oh and there’s one more thing you should know.

Verosika: WHAT?!

Adam: While you were trying so hard to turn me and my crew into snacks,

Verosika yelped as rope was lassoed around her neck and was soon dragged onto the boat.

Adam: You didn’t notice that your friends got snatched!

Verosika: W, What?!

She tried to jump forward and attack him but unfortunately Lute got the better hand on her and quickly forced her down and tied her up.

Just as the rest of the crew did the same.

The soldiers: Yes sir.

Screams of the sirens filled the air as their tails cut off and they were thrown back into the ocean.

Adam: We are going to the lair of Leviathan.

It didn’t take long before they were in the lair of Leviathan. Adam then noticed that Lute looked nervous.

Adam: What is it Lute, you look worried.

Lute: If it wasn’t for me we would have been home sooner, I am so sorry.

Adam: What are you talking about?

Lute: When we so close to Ithaca curiosity got the better of me and I opened the bag of wind while you slept.

Lute expected Adam to scream at her, but he had an expressionless look on his face.

Adam: Pass out six torches.

Lute nodded and started to hand them out and something approached the ship. A two headed woman rose out of the water. One head was a beautiful human like head and the other was like a sea serpent.

Adam: ROW FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

As the rowed through the lair Leviathan attacked. To Lute’s horror she noticed that Leviathan was only eating soldiers that were holding torches and Adam knew that this would happen.

Leviathan: We are the same you and I, King of Ithaca.

Once six soldiers were dead, Leviathan left and the ship could leave.

Lute: How could you sacrifice six soldiers, we trusted you?

Lute: How could you do this to us?! How could you betray us?!

Adam didn’t say anything as his eyes stayed firmly on the ocean before him.

Lute: SAY SOMETHING!!!!

Adam: I CAN’T!!!

He screamed right back staring at her with a gaze that sent a chill down her spine.

In that moment she felt something shift, something cold and hot fueling her as she was now looking at her captain with a gaze she never delivered before.

Lute: Then I am afraid you have forced my hand.

In the blink of an eye she unsheathed her sword and pointed it towards her king.

Adam: What do you think you’re doing Lute!?

Lute: What’s right! You miss your wife so bad you’d trade the lives of your own crew!

She unsheathed her sword ready to fight her captain and king in order to protect everyone else on the boat. Adam unsheathed his and they clashed. Both were great fighters, but Adam would have one if someone hadn’t snuck up behind him and stabbed him. The ship erupted in chaos as Lute ran over to Adam as he blacked out.

Hours later…

Adam woke up feeling groggy, his wound was treated and bandaged. He was also chained to a tree on an island.

Adam: Where are we?

Lute: We found this island filled with cattle and a statue of one of the sun gods.

Adam gasped seeing the statue, it was the sun god who was Lucifer’s father. He was not just a god, but a powerful titan.

Adam: Please tell me you aren’t thinking of killing some of the cattle.

Lute: We are starving and desperate.

Adam: That isn’t going to make the punishment we receive worth it.

Lute said nothing and approached one of the cows. Adam strained against the chains and with a strength he didn’t know that he had, they started to break. But it wasn’t enough, Lute used her sword to behead one of the cows. Adam ran over and grabbed Lute as the sky went dark.

Adam: WE NEED TO GO NOW WHO KNOWS WHO THEY WILL SEND!!!

It didn’t matter that they got onto the boat and onto the sea once lightning filled the sky.

Adam: It’s too late, we’re doomed.

“You know, they say that pride is a damsel in distress.”

The clouds parted and everyone gasped upon seeing none other than the king of the gods himself.

Satan……

Satan: Pride can act all fluttery and scared just like a helpless damsel when it is in front of the most powerful of beings. And I being who I am? Well let’s say that makes all of you none too brave now in my presence.

He grinned down on all of them as if he were a wolf that had found a herd of sheep.

For that was what they were, prey.

No longer the bloodthirsty beasts that could trample on anything that got in their way.

They have now been reduced to shaking, frightened little sheep that knew they would be killed today in a thoughtless slaughter.

However, it wasn’t thoughtless, it was retaliation for going against the gods.

Satan: Well, well, well.~ If it isn’t the cute little king from Troy! My, my don’t you look like you’re in quite the predicament. Aren’t you?

Adam: M, M, My all powerful god I beg of you, mercy-

Satan: You must now choose.

Adam: Choose?

Satan: Someone has to die today. You or your crew?

Adam: Please don’t make me do this.

The crew thought that Adam would choose them until Satan made an illusion of Eve appear. Her gold hair shimmering, her freckles almost like stars, her silvery eyes glowed, and even the small gap in her front teeth was quite attractive.

Eve: I can take your suffering from you. Let me take your suffering from you.

The illusion of Eve went over to Adam and kissed him before disappearing. The crew knew their fate was sealed.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I have to see her again.

Lute: But we’ll die.

Adam: I know.

Satan had a cruel smile knowing Adam made his choice. He started to use his powers to destroy the boat killing everyone on board except for Adam. Adam had passed out from shock and in the morning he washed up on an island. He was approached by a woman with very long blonde hair and violet eyes. She watched him sleep for a couple hours as he called out to Eve. Slowly he woke up.

Lilith: Morning sleepyhead.

Adam: Who are you, where am I?

Lilith: I am Lilith and this is my island. You talked in your sleep who is Eve?

Adam: She’s my wife.

But Lilith ignored him and dragged him off as she decided that he would be her lover even if she was already married.

Adam: Unhand me, I will kill you.

Lilith: Last time I checked goddesses can’t die.

Adam: Goddess?

Fear settled into him as she forced him to lay down and she used her powers to make him turned on before she took him as he silently cried. Adam would be stuck in this tropical hell for the next seven years.

(7 years later, present day)

The sun arose on the island of Ithica, day had once more come again for its people as many awoke to its light.

One of these people was none other than the Prince of Ithica himself the someday king Abel.

Light came onto his eyes causing them to open up, awakening him from his sleep.

He yawned tiredly as he sat up in his bed, turning to the open window he left out for the cool air to come in while he slept.

He sighed as he moved to get out of bed, once he was awake he could not go back to sleep until it was time for him to retire once more.

Donning a shawl to help him cover up he went out of his room and decided to take a morning bath.

Vincent: Boy, when is your tramp of a mother going to choose a new husband. Why don’t you open the doors of her chambers so we can have some fun.

Vincent was the leader of the suitors and the most bold of them. Only he would be vile enough to suggest Abel help them gain access to Eve so they could rape her.

Abel: Don’t you dare call my mother a tramp.

Suddenly they were surrounded by other men. The main ones Abel noticed were Valentino, a man who called himself Striker, and Andrealphus. There were others, but those were Vincent’s cronies.

Vincent: I just did, what are you going to do about it?

The crowd chanted for a fight to begin as they mockingly called Abel little wolf. One of the names Adam was called was the Wolf of Ithaca because he was ferocious and cunning in battle. It seemed like they called him that because they were implying he was nothing like his father. Not even like his own mother who was also a warrior in her own right because she was of Sparta like Anthony. The fight started and things weren’t going well for Abel when time stopped.

Sera: Need some help?

Abel: What’s going on here? Why is a goddess helping me.

Sera: I suggest you fight instead of just standing there. Uppercut him now.

Time went back to normal and Abel gave Vincent an uppercut making him fall. Abel then ran to the balcony where Sera was standing.

Abel: Why did you help me?

Sera: I helped your father and I wanted to help you too because you are a good man. Where is your father?

Abel: He never came back.

Sera: What?

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera was surprised that Adam was now calling out for help.

Sera: Your father needs me.

Abel gasped and in the next moment she was gone.

He……he was alive……?

He was alive……

He was alive.

He was alive!

HIS FATHER WAS ALIVE!

Abel: MY FATHER IS COMING HOME!!

He danced in joy on the balcony, tears of pure happiness flowing freely down his cheeks.

He held himself as he now knew the truth that everyone else refused to believe.

His father was alive and would resume his role as king.

He and his mother were safe!

Eve was working tirelessly at her loom when Abel ran in. The old dog Argos looked up hopefully wanting it to be the King returning home, but it wasn’t. So he looked down sadly still waiting like he had been for the last twenty years.

Eve: Son, what is it?

Abel: Mother, you were right, father is alive. I received a visit from the goddess Sera herself and suddenly she said that father needed her before she left. Father will soon be home.

Eve wept with joy as she looked upon the unstrung bow hanging on the wall. She knew Adam was alive and he was trying to find a way home. He would come home, get rid of the vile suitors, and they could be a family again.

Eve: I knew he was alive, he promised me that he would come home no matter what. You must be prepared, find allies and take my spear.

Abel: Of course mother.

On the island of Lilith…

Adam kept crying out for Sera hoping she would save him, but so far she hadn’t come. Did she truly turn her back on him? It had been seven years of being drugged by Lilith so she could have her way with him and he wouldn’t cry for his family. Seven years of being raped by a goddess.

Adam: Sera, please I am so sorry. I just want to go home.

He stood on the edge of a cliff feeling like the only escape now was jumping. He had only gotten here because the drugs Lilith forced down his throat wore off and she had been busy elsewhere. Before he could fling himself off the cliff, Lilith grabbed him and started to drag him away so she could drug him and rape him again.

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera watched in horror over what happened to Adam ever since she had turned her back on him. She didn’t think things would be this bad for him. She had to help him go home.

Sera: The only thing I can think of is to convince the other gods to release him and get the help of a certain sorcerer to help if the gods agree with me.

She wasn’t happy with having to go to the gods, but she had no other choice.

It was another beautiful day in the land of the gods, the sun was shining as the immortals walked upon paths of cloud and jewels.

But in one area that was designated for court to take place among them the king of the sky sat upon his throne waiting for the next case to come.

Hoping that this one might not be so boring. Fortunately for him, he was about to receive that wish.

The doors were pushed open and in flew a goddess covered in rage and sorrow.

Sera

Sera looked up at the king with an expression she hoped that would show her pride on her sleeve.

Sera: King of the gods, sovereign over the kingdom of Olympus, and father to all I beg of you for a favor.

Sera: The king of Ithaca, the man called Adam, he is imprisoned on the island which houses the same prisoner the titan goddess Lilith.

Satan: And?

Sera: And I wish for you to release him.

Satan: ……Release him…..release a man whom shame covers his person like cloth. A man whom has caused more bloodshed than that of even the might of us. Someone who deserves no mercy whatsoever…..yet you wish to let him go?

Sera: Yes, he does not deserve the fate he has been given.

Satan: I see……you know this might actually be an interesting question of if I should let him go or not. And I wish to see where it shall take us. How about a wager?

Sera: Wager?

Satan nodded: If you can convince the jury of my choosing, all of them, then I shall let Adam go.

Sera: Who is this jury?

Suddenly there was Peter lounging in front of Sera strumming his lyre looking rather bored.

Peter: He had slaughtered the sirens after they had given him helpful advice.

Thankfully Sera watched what Adam went through ever since she had left him.

Sera: They were planning on killing him and now the other sirens will think twice before trying to tempt sailors to their watery doom.

Peter: If that’s the case then release him.

He went away and was replaced by Ozzie who looked firm in his convictions.

Ozzie: Adam sacrificed his crew instead of taking the blame as a leader.

Sera: He warned them to not kill the cattle and they acted without his blessing.

Ozzie: Release him.

Suddenly he was gone and Stolas was there looking seductive.

Stolas: His desire to spill blood caused his mother to die.

Sera: He couldn’t help his obligations to fight for love.

Stolas: He could have found a way out of this.

Sera: Please listen to me.

Suddenly Stolas was joined by his lover, Blitzø.

Blitzø: Adam was a coward using that horse instead of fighting honorably and he passed his cowardice onto his son.

Sera: Hold your tongue, I know that if he is released his wrath will be legendary. He will kill more to get home.

Blitzø smirked at the thought of Adam finally unleashing his warrior’s strength.

Stolas and Blitzø: Release him.

They were replaced by Bel.

Bel: Convince me.

Sera: He is brave and smart…

Bel: Boring.

Sera: He never cheated on his wife.

Bel then glared up at Satan so he could see her in the eyes.

Bel: Release him.

Satan: HOW DARE YOU BEAT ME AT MY OWN GAME!!!

Sera flew at Satan ready to fight him even though he was much stronger than her.

Sera: Please release him.

A sad look crossed Satan’s eyes because his wrath hurt Sera.

Satan: Release him.

Now Sera had to go to Lucifer to make a deal with him because he would be able to help Adam.

Lucifer sighed as he lounged against his throne, chatter amongst himself from his nymphs, all happily talking with one another as they ate only the most splendid of meals.

Drinking only the most rare of wine and over all having a spectacular time in the presence of a deity.

However, there was one being whose mind was on more sorrowful specks of ideas than being in the moment of joy.

That person of course was none other than the host.

Lucifer stared into the golden goblet that he held sullenly as he lightly swirled the drink around.

How the most tinniest of the fruits, so small and unassuming that when fermented can create a drink so powerful that it can turn kings into fools.

Unfortunately it would do no such thing to an immortal such as Lucifer.

The only thing that a drink like this was made for was to quench his thirst.

Hardly anything on this island he could use to create the wine for the gods.

He can’t even make simple things like that once he had been imprisoned.

Lucifer: Do you need something from me?

Sera: I am here to offer you freedom?

Lucifer: Is there something you need for me to do and how will my nymphs be protected.

Sera: I will place my protection on the nymphs as for what I need you to do, I need you to help free Adam.

Lucifer perked up hearing Adam, it had been years since the handsome King of Ithaca had graced his island and Lucifer wished he could see him again.

Lucifer: What happened? I would think he would be home with his beloved wife especially since I heard his son is soon to be wed.

Sera: Lilith, another goddess held prisoner on an island has taken Adam as his sex slave. I need him home in Ithaca to slay the suitors that infested his home and so he can have peace. You are the only person who can do that for him.

Lucifer: Of course, take me to him.

Suddenly Lucifer was on Lilith’s island, his heart broke seeing Adam chained to Lilith’s throne.

Lilith: What are you doing here? Be gone.

Lucifer: I am here because Adam is not meant to waste away on your island. He is a King who has a family.

Lilith: He is mine and I will not give him up.

Lucifer: You idiot, if you don’t release him you will bring down the wrath of the gods who will punish you with untold horrors.

Suddenly a loud crack of thunder sounded showing Lilith that Lucifer wasn’t lying. The goddess ran as Lucifer made his way to Adam. The King looked up and had a hopeful smile.

Adam: You came to save me?

Lucifer: Yes, we are going home. It won’t be easy because of the monsters, but I will protect you.

Adam: Thank you.

Adam spent days building a raft as Lilith begged Adam to stay until Lucifer chased her away.

Fizzarolli: Looks like things are going well, I have your bag of wind to return to you. But this time don’t open it.

Adam: Ok, I still don’t understand this.

Lucifer: It must be a test or something, but we will tackle this together.

The sorcerer and king then got on the raft to go home to Ithaca.

Abel sighed as he got back on his ship. It had been twenty years since the war against Troy and no one had seen his father. Abel’s father was the King of an island called Ithaca named Adam. He never really knew his father because he was a baby when he left for war. But the Queen and Abel’s mother, Eve, told him that he was a brave, clever, cunning, handsome, strong, and loving man. She bragged about how Adam could string a bow that was impossible for others and shoot an arrow through twelve axe heads.

Abel: Dad, mom really believes that you are alive and I hope that she is right. We could really use your help.

When the war had ended ten years ago and Adam hadn’t returned home, many believed that he died on the journey home along with the soldiers who went with him. Suitors from all around descended upon the castle hoping to woo Eve. But Eve was convinced Adam was alive and would come back to her. But they refused to leave and demanded that she remarry. In spite of everything, Eve never lost faith in the man she fell in love with and married.

Ten years ago…

It was sweltering inside of the large wooden horse, but if things went the way they were supposed to, they would soon be in Troy. Adam had been given this idea to sneak soldiers into Troy through a large wooden horse that was disguised as a blessing to the gods from his patron goddess, Sera. He was honestly surprised that Sera came up with a plan so bold and sacrilegious. But Sera always thought like him. The plan worked and the horse Adam and some soldiers were in was taken into Troy. Everyone threw a celebration thinking they won the war.

Emily: Are they all asleep.

Lute: Quiet or they may hear us.

Adam: They are probably too drunk to notice.

Adam opened the hatch and he got out with Sera and Emily following him as they made it to the gates. Adam opened and the armies were waiting. Adam would be forever haunted by what happened that night, but he would do it all again if it meant he could go home to his wife and son.

Adam: Lute! Emily!

Lute: Yes sir?

Adam: Go and find Anthony and carefully escort him out the city. Be sure to use the safest route there is.

Anthony, the reason why the war started in the first place, the Queen of Sparta had been cruelly taken against his will by one of the three princes of Troy and it was up to Adam and his soldiers to rescue and get him back to his husband.

He had no doubts that it would finally happen tonight.

Lute: Yes sir!

Emily: You can count on us sir!

Adam nodded before turning to look around at his other soldiers, mostly women with hearts made for battle, and he knew one word on his mind to tell them.

Adam: Attack.

And they were soon thrusted into battle, fighting and killing their way through the city, slaughtering any soldier that came into their field of vision.

But the battle was going good for them, better than good when a goddess was on their side.

They were so close to victory, so close to the freedom of war being over, it right at the tip of their tongues-

A blinding flash of light made Adam scream and drop his weapon as searing pain coursed through his torso.

He quickly checked to find blood from an open wound but found nothing.

Adam: W, What was that?

Adam froze in fear, that was the King of the Gods. He had remained neutral in this war and Adam didn’t know why he was hearing this. Just then he saw flashes of Eve and Abel being cut down as he cried out unable to help. He hadn’t see his son ever since he was a baby and he would now be ten years old.

Adam: How can I make this stop?

King of the Gods: Up in the tower is the one who will kill you and your family. You must go up there and end him.

Adam ran as fast as he could up the tower tears blinding his eyes. He thought of Eve, the woman he fell in love with while others wanted Anthony. Them meeting under the olive tree that he would carve into their wedding bed, the castle he had built around it because he didn’t want to uproot the tree. Their wedding night, Eve being pregnant with Abel. He stood in front of the door gasping.

King of the Gods: Behind that door is what will become your darkest nightmares, end it now.

Adam broke down the door and he was confused expecting to see a warrior ready to maim and kill, but all he saw was a crib. He walked over and was shocked to see a sleeping baby. This was the son of the eldest Prince of Troy, who had died in battle.

Adam: I can’t do this, he is an innocent baby. Let me take him home and raise him.

But he wasn’t allowed that, he was tormented by visions of the baby growing up in his home. But as he grew up and found the truth, darkness took root in his heart and he slaughtered the entire royal family of Ithaca before having the place burned.

Adam: NOOOOO!!!!

King of the Gods: Then you know what you must do.

Adam gathered the baby in his arms and walked out of to the balcony seeing the city burn. Screams filling the night all because of the selfish desires of one prince.

Adam: I am so sorry, but I’m just a man.

He closed his eyes as he dropped the baby off the edge of the balcony.

The next day…

Thankfully Husk found Anthony and the royal couple were happily reunited ready to return to Sparta.

Husk: Adam, thank you for helping me get my husband back to me.

Adam: Of course, I know you would do anything if the same happened to Eve.

Husk: Of course.

Anthony: Tell Eve, I would like to see her again. It’s been too long since I saw her.

With that everyone prepared to set sail, that night weighing heavy on Adam’s mind. But he couldn’t let that drag him down because soon he would be home. He just realize that it would take him another ten years to get there.

The first few weeks of sailing went about as smooth as a stream, nice and clean with zero problems.

It wouldn’t be too long now until they made it back to Ithica, Adam knew that.

If he remembered correctly it was about a month of sailing until they reached the kingdom of Troy when they first took off for war.

So it would make sense that it would be the same for the way home.

Speaking of home all the soldiers were celebrating vibrantly as they took pride in knowing they finally at long last won the war.

They all felt in their bones that only two ways for them to continue on in this.

They either would die on the battlefield or win the war and go home, luckily for them it was the latter.

So because of their survival and the fact that they would soon be back in their kingdom they all celebrated through the one thing that made everything merry.

Wine

Rich, delicious wine that they stole from the Trojans. It was so good in fact that they would even call it Troy’s greatest treasure.

Lute: We should just raid the place and go.

Emily: We can’t treat everything like a war especially with what happened in the last war. Not everyone is an enemy.

Adam: Emily is right, she will go with me and we will see if there are people who can provide food.

Emily followed off the ship and Adam had bow and some arrows, Emily just had her spear at hand.

Emily: You seem troubled my friend.

Adam: I have a lot on my mind.

Adam was thinking of the war and all of its horrors and getting home. He could sleep easier in Eve’s arms. Maybe he could soon sleep without hearing screams.

Emily: The war is over, you can relax now. We will be home soon, but for now we can greet the world with open arms.

Suddenly Adam heard movement in the bushes and aimed his bow. It wasn’t prized bow that only he could use, but it would get the job done even if it wasn’t as powerful. Just then a little creature munching on a lotus flower tumbled out of the bush.

Adam: What are you?

Emily: I think that could be a winion who work for the wind god and they are eating lotus flowers that can effect you in different ways like making you extremely euphoric and forget things. Why don’t you put that away and I will try something.

Adam put away his bow as Emily knelt in front of the winion.

Emily: Hello friend, we are travelers looking for food. Do you know where we can find some.

Winion: A cave filled with sheep and cheese.

Emily: Wonderful.

Adam and Emily then left to get some people to gather food.

Winion: Scary cave.

It didn’t take long to find the cave. There was nice fat sheep, lovely wheels of cheese, and some other types of food. Adam aimed an arrow and shot one of the sheep which fell over dead.

Lute: Good shot sir.

Adam: Thank you.

Just then they heard a scream of horror. There was a woman with one eye that was the height of two of Adam which was impressive since he was already a very tall man kneeling in front of the dead sheep.

Niffty: WHO KILLED MY FAVORITE SHEEP!!!

Uh oh…….

Nifty: Oh……Oh Billy………you poor little thing.

The tall creature sniffled, water falling out of her one eye as she picked up the sheep and held it against her body.

All the soldiers kept quiet as they tried their best to move away from her and out the exit.

Unfortunately for them it wouldn’t be too easy.

Nifty: You killed him…….you killed my friend……..what gives you the damn right to commit such an act….?

Her large red eye was now directed onto them the soldiers as she glared in pure anger.

Her sorrow deep and cut as she wished them all dead.

Nifty: Who even are you?! Why are you here?!

Adam: Please forgive us! We had no idea this cave was somebody’s home we just wished to find food and possible shelter-

Nifty: How dare you! HOW DARE YOU ALL!!! You come into my home thinking you can kill such an innocent creature!?

Adam: We were simply hungry-

Niffty: What do you have that would make up for my loss.

Adam: This wine good enough for the gods.

Adam motioned to Lute who handed him the wine skin. Adam opened it and snuck in some lotus flowers petals, he was sure that this euphoric state could also put someone to sleep.

Adam: Here.

Niffty: What is your name, mine is Niffty. I think it’s fair to know your name as well.

Adam: My name is Nobody.

Niffty: Nobody?

Everyone looked so confused.

Adam: Yes, Nobody.

Niffty then gulped down the wine.

Niffty: That was so good, Nobody. For that you will be the only one I kill.

Adam froze in horror until Niffty fell asleep. The group ran to the cave entrance. But it was blocked by a boulder.

Lute: FUCK!!!

Emily: What do we do?

Adam: I have an idea.

They started to work on a log, sharpening the end. They would drive it into Niffty’s eye, the horror at everything being dark would make her open the cave not realizing she was blind. It worked too well because when Niffty grabbed the boulder, she threw it hoping to kill a soldier and it only killed one, Emily.

Niffty: Help me, I have been blinded by Nobody.

By her call went unanswered as the soldiers started to escape.

Adam was the last to leave, but not before turning back to stare so with despair at the bloodied body of Emily.

Her eyes wide open as they were frozen in a state of pure terror.

Adam felt his throat go tight as he tried not to sob right then and there.

Adam: I’m so sorry…..

He quietly said to her before turning to the other soldiers and leaving.

As they got to the shoreline they saw the cyclops called Nifty was fully out of her cave and was crying and screaming in agonizing pain.

She cried for help, so desperate for help that she didn’t care of who answered.

Adam wondered if that’s how Emily felt in her final moments.

Turning back to face where Nifty was he called out to her,

Adam: Hey cyclops!

Even though she had no eyes she somehow managed to turn towards his direction.

Adam turned to glare at Sera as tears fell from his eyes.

Adam: Where you when Emily was killed? Better yet, where were you when the King of the Gods tortured me with visions of the future until I killed a baby? I was told gods were very powerful and wise, but it was interference from the gods that caused this war.

Sera looked hurt, but she was too proud to admit that she was wrong.

Adam: Do you have nothing else to say then I no longer need you. Go, I never want to see you again.

Adam turned away and a look of both anger and sadness crossed her face. She was going to tell Adam that Niffty was the favorite daughter of the sea god. But after what Adam said, she decided to let him figure it out on his own and left.

Many days later…

Adam didn’t understand it, but he was sure that he should have been home by now. During his journey he ran across the wind god who gave him a bag of powerful winds telling him not to open it. He was sure that no one but him had opened it.

Alastor: I found you.

Adam turned to see a man standing behind him that definitely wasn’t part of his crew. In one hand was a trident, this was Alastor the God of the Seas. Before Adam could say anything, Alastor slapped him hard enough to send him flying across the deck.

Adam: What was that for?

Alastor: The cyclops you blinded was my daughter.

Alastor strode over to Adam and grabbed him by the chin forcing him to look into his eyes.

Alastor: Beg for my forgiveness and I may spare everyone here.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I didn’t mean any harm, my soldiers were in danger and we were hungry. Please forgive me, do what you must to me, but don’t harm them.

Alastor let out a cruel laugh.

Alastor: We know you don’t truly mean that, you are a monster.

Suddenly Alastor was gone and Adam ran over to railing to see Alastor standing on the ocean. Adam screamed as Alastor summoned a storm sinking all but the ship that Adam was on.

Alastor: You went to Troy with six hundred soldiers and now now there are only forty-three left under your command.

Alastor gave Adam a mocking bow.

Alastor: Do you have any last words?

Adam: ……….

Alastor: What was that my boy? I don’t think I quite heard you.

Adam: …….A, All I……

Alastor: Yes? Come on, you were quite chatty when you blinded my daughter. Where is that boisterous pride in your voice now?! Come now SPEAK!

Adam looked up at him with red tinged eyes and a smile that unsettled the sea king.

Adam: ALL I HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THIS BAG!

Alastor gasped as a powerful gust of air suddenly surged forward pushing him down.

When he got up again he found Adam’s ship missing from view.

He growled low and deep and slammed the base of his trident onto the ocean floor.

Lute: Sir, and island ahead.

Adam ran out and saw a lush island with a castle on a hill. He wondered who lived there.

Adam: Lute, I am sending you out with a group to scout the place.

Lute: Yes sir.

Lute left and Adam sighed, he felt so lonely without Sera there to give him advice. But his pride refused to let him call out for help. So he went to take a nap where he dreamed. In his dream he was in bed with Eve.

Eve: Adam, my love, I have missed you so much.

Eve glowed with love and beauty that Adam was so enchanted by. But suddenly there loud pounding at the door and men demanding access to her. The door came down and men hidden by shadows came in pulling a crying Eve out of the bed as Adam was helpless to stop it.

Lute: ADAM!!!

Adam jolted up in his ship, he was surprised, Lute rarely called him Adam. He ran out to see a frantic Lute.

Adam: What happened?

Lute: That castle on the hill is the residence of a sorcerer. He invited us inside, but I stayed outside because I was suspicious. He gave them lots of food, but then it started to happen. They started to transform.

Adam: What were they turned into? Pigs?

Lute: No, they were all turned into ducks.

Adam: ……What?

Lute: I wish I could make this up but I’m not, he turned them into ducks, round them all up, then took them away. No doubt to cook them up for his next meal

Adam: I see, well then we have no time to lose we must make haste if we want to save them.

Adam took the forward steps to leave but was grabbed by Lute, preventing him from doing so.

Looking back at her he was faced with a complex and worried expression from her.

Adam: Lute? What’s wrong?

Lute: Sir, let’s just go.

Adam: Excuse me?

Lute sighed as she softly shook her head: Sir, Adam, we have lost so many already, so many of our friends. We can’t risk anymore deaths.

Adam: And so that means abandoning more soldiers to die?

Lute: If it means our remaining members alongside us survive then yes!

Fizzarolli: Whoah, you aren’t just going in there without a plan? If you do that you will be a duck too.

Fizzarolli was a trickster and messenger god. Sera feeling some remorse asked him to help Adam if he saw the king, she didn’t realize how desperate things were for Adam, but she knew he needed help.

Adam: What should I do since I don’t want to go around quacking and covered in feathers.

Fizzarolli pulled out a root plant.

Fizzarolli: This is moly, humans can’t harvest it, but for a god it’s really easy. Just eat it and you will be immune to Lucifer’s magic.

Adam realized that he didn’t know the sorcerer’s name, there was something about the name Lucifer that stirred a feeling in Adam that only Eve could do. Adam quickly grabbed the root and ate it.

In Lucifer’s castle…

Lucifer was lounging with one of his ducks softly petting the feathers.

Lucifer: I know that this form scares you now, but you will grow to love it. Others have.

The doors opened and Lucifer sat up straightening his deep red robes. Standing there was a man, a very handsome man.

Adam: Are you the sorcerer Lucifer?

Lucifer: Depends on why you have come here.

Adam: I am King Adam of Ithaca and you have turned my soldiers into ducks. I came here to demand you turn them back.

Lucifer: We can talk it over a nice goblet of wine.

Lucifer handed Adam a glass of wine with his magic. It was a shame that Adam had to be turned into a duck, but he had no other choice. Adam drank the entire glass, but he wasn’t turning into a duck.

But that……..wasn’t he supposed to….

Lucifer shook his head, trying not to get ahead of himself.

Believing his magic was simply taking its time he decided to simply wait as he made conversation.

Lucifer: So, what brings you to my little corner of the world?

Adam: Me and my crew mates simply came here to evade a king.

Lucifer: War is it?

Adam: Sort of…..

Lucifer: Well if you have troubles you wish to release to me, I’m all ears.~

He smiled at him charmingly as he fully lounged in his chair.

Hoping to make himself seductive for the man in front of him.

Not to actually bed him, but it would be easier to subdue one completely enamored with him as he fell for his charms.

Adam: I just want to go home, but something happened making it impossible.

Lucifer: My poor sweet king, tell me all about it.

Adam: From a young age I was King of the island of Ithaca because my father was sickly. When Anthony of Sparta came of age suitors came from all over Greece to seek his hand. I came, but for another purpose. I came to seek the hand of his cousin, Eve. We fell in love and I wanted to make her my Queen.

Lucifer: Did you?

Adam: Yes, I built her a home and we have a son, Abel. But Anthony was taken from his home and husband, so we had to go to war to get him back. The war lasted ten years and I am on my journey home.

Lucifer listened to Adam talk more about himself and his wife, he couldn’t help but loving both. But he was stuck here for angering the gods.

Lucifer: I will help you get home and turn your soldiers back to their original form.

Adam: You will?

Lucifer: Yes, the only way to find a route home is to go to the prophet, Zestiel. He resides in the Underworld because he has been dead for many years. But I know you are clever enough and brave enough for this task.

Adam: Thank you.

Adam and Lucifer were both surprised when Adam kissed Lucifer on the lips.

One would think that with a frame built like his, with a past of war and cruelty, the man before him wouldn’t know anything about the true pleasures of a soft kiss.

Lucifer wouldn’t lie, it actually made something tighten and clench down below.

When Adam at long last let go stared at Lucifer with so much appreciation and gratitude.

Adam: I may be a simple man, I have no riches to give you as of this moment, nor do I have anything of value on me, if we were in my kingdom I would have granted you a life time of gold and happiness…..I suppose though that even all the gold in a mortal’s kingdom is mere trinkets to an immortal.

Lucifer: Adam, I can tell you where the closest cave to the Underworld is, but the rest is up to you.

Adam: Thank you.

They shared one more kiss before Adam got back onto the ship.

Adam: To the Underworld.

It took nearly a year, but they finally made it. Once inside they went down and found themselves in the River of Styx. They heard cries from the dead, but one haunted Adam the most.

Emily: Greet the world with open arms.

Adam: Emily, I am so sorry.

Lute: Sir, it wasn’t your fault and I know Emily would feel the same way.

???: 🎶Waiting, waiting, I’m waiting for my son to come home.🎶

Adam broke down sobbing hearing that, that was his mother singing about waiting for him to come home. Adam’s mother was alive when he left, but she died recently because it was assumed that he died at sea. Only Eve held onto hope that he would soon return.

Adam: I am so sorry mom.

Once the ship docked, Adam got out and made his way through the shadows until he saw the shade he was looking for.

Zestiel: Welcome King of Ithaca.

Adam: Zestiel, I am here begging to find a way home.

Zestiel: The passage to Ithaca is drenched in blood, you must be willing to become a monster to go home.

Adam: I don’t care, I will kill anyone who gets between me and my family.

Zestiel saw things like Adam sacrificing his crew, attacking a god, and slaughtering the men that invaded his castle. He knew Adam had it in him to do this, but he wasn’t ready to know this, for now he would leave Adam in ignorant bliss.

Adam: I will become the monster.

Adam’s eyes were dull and filled with little life as he stared out the vast sea before him.

It was a rather lovely day, there were no clouds in the sky, the sun was shining which caused the water to glisten like sapphires.

It was beautiful yes, but when one spends so long here, and faced the true horrors underneath all Adam saw when he looked at it was a watery grave.

One wrong turn or move and it was over, he would be turned into a corpse along with his girls and they’d be sent to Hades faster than one would be able to blink.

Adam sighed as he leaned against the ships railing, placing his head into his folded arms and trying to keep himself from completely losing himself.

What was he to do….?

What was he meant to do?

What was he going to do?

How was he going to be the one to get himself and his crew home when he didn’t even know of where to start?

He felt hopeless and useless, Zestial told him of how becoming a monster was the only true way to get back to his wife and son but how exactly would that happen?

And to who….?

Lute: Sirens, they took on the form of the Queen and for some reason they took on the form of that sorcerer.

Adam blushed, they must have figured out his love for Eve and he didn’t know what he had going on with Lucifer right now.

Adam: We need to get wax in our ears, I will deal with them. I can read their lips and figure out what they are saying.

They did just that and Adam went up to the railing. As Lute said, there were a pair of sirens who took on the forms is Eve and Lucifer. They were holding out their arms to Adam and singing. A sirens song could drive one to madness and make a man jump in the water where he would drown. But with the wax in his ears he was immune, he knew they were begging Adam to jump into the water so they could take away his suffering.

Adam: Oh Eve, you know I am too shy and frightened. I can’t swim.

Adam had to keep himself from rolling his eyes. Being raised on an island had him learn to swim at a young age. The sirens kept begging him to jump into the water.

Adam: I have a tiny request before I jump in. Say I am trying to avoid the god, Alastor, where would I go to find the fastest route to Ithaca?

They told him that it would be through the lair of Leviathan because Alastor was too afraid to go there.

Adam: Leviathan demands a cost.

Adam would have to sacrifice six members of his crew to Leviathan for safe passage. This is what Zestiel meant by becoming a monster. Adam hated that he would have to do that, but he had no other choice. He was also going to have to deal with the sirens so they didn’t attack others. He grabbed his hidden bow and arrows before he started to shoot at them.

The one disguised as his queen screamed in agony as it hit her right in the eye.

Adam: LETS CUT THIS CHARADE YOU ARE NO LOVE OF MINE!

Seeing his injured friend the other siren grabbed onto her and dragged them behind the rock.

Adam: I know you, I know what you are and you will not be taking any of our lives today, siren!

A loud hiss echoed into the air as the once beautiful Queen of Ithica was now in her true form.

Long hair that was white as the clouds, skin as pink as coral, and once lustful yellow, red eyes that were now staring in pure rage at the king.

Adam glared right back: There are things you should know siren, I am in no way afraid of the water, my wife knows of this, and Lucifer is in no way our lover.

Though he wishes it was true.

Adam: Oh and there’s one more thing you should know.

Verosika: WHAT?!

Adam: While you were trying so hard to turn me and my crew into snacks,

Verosika yelped as rope was lassoed around her neck and was soon dragged onto the boat.

Adam: You didn’t notice that your friends got snatched!

Verosika: W, What?!

She tried to jump forward and attack him but unfortunately Lute got the better hand on her and quickly forced her down and tied her up.

Just as the rest of the crew did the same.

The soldiers: Yes sir.

Screams of the sirens filled the air as their tails cut off and they were thrown back into the ocean.

Adam: We are going to the lair of Leviathan.

It didn’t take long before they were in the lair of Leviathan. Adam then noticed that Lute looked nervous.

Adam: What is it Lute, you look worried.

Lute: If it wasn’t for me we would have been home sooner, I am so sorry.

Adam: What are you talking about?

Lute: When we so close to Ithaca curiosity got the better of me and I opened the bag of wind while you slept.

Lute expected Adam to scream at her, but he had an expressionless look on his face.

Adam: Pass out six torches.

Lute nodded and started to hand them out and something approached the ship. A two headed woman rose out of the water. One head was a beautiful human like head and the other was like a sea serpent.

Adam: ROW FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

As the rowed through the lair Leviathan attacked. To Lute’s horror she noticed that Leviathan was only eating soldiers that were holding torches and Adam knew that this would happen.

Leviathan: We are the same you and I, King of Ithaca.

Once six soldiers were dead, Leviathan left and the ship could leave.

Lute: How could you sacrifice six soldiers, we trusted you?

Lute: How could you do this to us?! How could you betray us?!

Adam didn’t say anything as his eyes stayed firmly on the ocean before him.

Lute: SAY SOMETHING!!!!

Adam: I CAN’T!!!

He screamed right back staring at her with a gaze that sent a chill down her spine.

In that moment she felt something shift, something cold and hot fueling her as she was now looking at her captain with a gaze she never delivered before.

Lute: Then I am afraid you have forced my hand.

In the blink of an eye she unsheathed her sword and pointed it towards her king.

Adam: What do you think you’re doing Lute!?

Lute: What’s right! You miss your wife so bad you’d trade the lives of your own crew!

She unsheathed her sword ready to fight her captain and king in order to protect everyone else on the boat. Adam unsheathed his and they clashed. Both were great fighters, but Adam would have one if someone hadn’t snuck up behind him and stabbed him. The ship erupted in chaos as Lute ran over to Adam as he blacked out.

Hours later…

Adam woke up feeling groggy, his wound was treated and bandaged. He was also chained to a tree on an island.

Adam: Where are we?

Lute: We found this island filled with cattle and a statue of one of the sun gods.

Adam gasped seeing the statue, it was the sun god who was Lucifer’s father. He was not just a god, but a powerful titan.

Adam: Please tell me you aren’t thinking of killing some of the cattle.

Lute: We are starving and desperate.

Adam: That isn’t going to make the punishment we receive worth it.

Lute said nothing and approached one of the cows. Adam strained against the chains and with a strength he didn’t know that he had, they started to break. But it wasn’t enough, Lute used her sword to behead one of the cows. Adam ran over and grabbed Lute as the sky went dark.

Adam: WE NEED TO GO NOW WHO KNOWS WHO THEY WILL SEND!!!

It didn’t matter that they got onto the boat and onto the sea once lightning filled the sky.

Adam: It’s too late, we’re doomed.

“You know, they say that pride is a damsel in distress.”

The clouds parted and everyone gasped upon seeing none other than the king of the gods himself.

Satan……

Satan: Pride can act all fluttery and scared just like a helpless damsel when it is in front of the most powerful of beings. And I being who I am? Well let’s say that makes all of you none too brave now in my presence.

He grinned down on all of them as if he were a wolf that had found a herd of sheep.

For that was what they were, prey.

No longer the bloodthirsty beasts that could trample on anything that got in their way.

They have now been reduced to shaking, frightened little sheep that knew they would be killed today in a thoughtless slaughter.

However, it wasn’t thoughtless, it was retaliation for going against the gods.

Satan: Well, well, well.~ If it isn’t the cute little king from Troy! My, my don’t you look like you’re in quite the predicament. Aren’t you?

Adam: M, M, My all powerful god I beg of you, mercy-

Satan: You must now choose.

Adam: Choose?

Satan: Someone has to die today. You or your crew?

Adam: Please don’t make me do this.

The crew thought that Adam would choose them until Satan made an illusion of Eve appear. Her gold hair shimmering, her freckles almost like stars, her silvery eyes glowed, and even the small gap in her front teeth was quite attractive.

Eve: I can take your suffering from you. Let me take your suffering from you.

The illusion of Eve went over to Adam and kissed him before disappearing. The crew knew their fate was sealed.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I have to see her again.

Lute: But we’ll die.

Adam: I know.

Satan had a cruel smile knowing Adam made his choice. He started to use his powers to destroy the boat killing everyone on board except for Adam. Adam had passed out from shock and in the morning he washed up on an island. He was approached by a woman with very long blonde hair and violet eyes. She watched him sleep for a couple hours as he called out to Eve. Slowly he woke up.

Lilith: Morning sleepyhead.

Adam: Who are you, where am I?

Lilith: I am Lilith and this is my island. You talked in your sleep who is Eve?

Adam: She’s my wife.

But Lilith ignored him and dragged him off as she decided that he would be her lover even if she was already married.

Adam: Unhand me, I will kill you.

Lilith: Last time I checked goddesses can’t die.

Adam: Goddess?

Fear settled into him as she forced him to lay down and she used her powers to make him turned on before she took him as he silently cried. Adam would be stuck in this tropical hell for the next seven years.

(7 years later, present day)

The sun arose on the island of Ithica, day had once more come again for its people as many awoke to its light.

One of these people was none other than the Prince of Ithica himself the someday king Abel.

Light came onto his eyes causing them to open up, awakening him from his sleep.

He yawned tiredly as he sat up in his bed, turning to the open window he left out for the cool air to come in while he slept.

He sighed as he moved to get out of bed, once he was awake he could not go back to sleep until it was time for him to retire once more.

Donning a shawl to help him cover up he went out of his room and decided to take a morning bath.

Vincent: Boy, when is your tramp of a mother going to choose a new husband. Why don’t you open the doors of her chambers so we can have some fun.

Vincent was the leader of the suitors and the most bold of them. Only he would be vile enough to suggest Abel help them gain access to Eve so they could rape her.

Abel: Don’t you dare call my mother a tramp.

Suddenly they were surrounded by other men. The main ones Abel noticed were Valentino, a man who called himself Striker, and Andrealphus. There were others, but those were Vincent’s cronies.

Vincent: I just did, what are you going to do about it?

The crowd chanted for a fight to begin as they mockingly called Abel little wolf. One of the names Adam was called was the Wolf of Ithaca because he was ferocious and cunning in battle. It seemed like they called him that because they were implying he was nothing like his father. Not even like his own mother who was also a warrior in her own right because she was of Sparta like Anthony. The fight started and things weren’t going well for Abel when time stopped.

Sera: Need some help?

Abel: What’s going on here? Why is a goddess helping me.

Sera: I suggest you fight instead of just standing there. Uppercut him now.

Time went back to normal and Abel gave Vincent an uppercut making him fall. Abel then ran to the balcony where Sera was standing.

Abel: Why did you help me?

Sera: I helped your father and I wanted to help you too because you are a good man. Where is your father?

Abel: He never came back.

Sera: What?

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera was surprised that Adam was now calling out for help.

Sera: Your father needs me.

Abel gasped and in the next moment she was gone.

He……he was alive……?

He was alive……

He was alive.

He was alive!

HIS FATHER WAS ALIVE!

Abel: MY FATHER IS COMING HOME!!

He danced in joy on the balcony, tears of pure happiness flowing freely down his cheeks.

He held himself as he now knew the truth that everyone else refused to believe.

His father was alive and would resume his role as king.

He and his mother were safe!

Eve was working tirelessly at her loom when Abel ran in. The old dog Argos looked up hopefully wanting it to be the King returning home, but it wasn’t. So he looked down sadly still waiting like he had been for the last twenty years.

Eve: Son, what is it?

Abel: Mother, you were right, father is alive. I received a visit from the goddess Sera herself and suddenly she said that father needed her before she left. Father will soon be home.

Eve wept with joy as she looked upon the unstrung bow hanging on the wall. She knew Adam was alive and he was trying to find a way home. He would come home, get rid of the vile suitors, and they could be a family again.

Eve: I knew he was alive, he promised me that he would come home no matter what. You must be prepared, find allies and take my spear.

Abel: Of course mother.

On the island of Lilith…

Adam kept crying out for Sera hoping she would save him, but so far she hadn’t come. Did she truly turn her back on him? It had been seven years of being drugged by Lilith so she could have her way with him and he wouldn’t cry for his family. Seven years of being raped by a goddess.

Adam: Sera, please I am so sorry. I just want to go home.

He stood on the edge of a cliff feeling like the only escape now was jumping. He had only gotten here because the drugs Lilith forced down his throat wore off and she had been busy elsewhere. Before he could fling himself off the cliff, Lilith grabbed him and started to drag him away so she could drug him and rape him again.

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera watched in horror over what happened to Adam ever since she had turned her back on him. She didn’t think things would be this bad for him. She had to help him go home.

Sera: The only thing I can think of is to convince the other gods to release him and get the help of a certain sorcerer to help if the gods agree with me.

She wasn’t happy with having to go to the gods, but she had no other choice.

It was another beautiful day in the land of the gods, the sun was shining as the immortals walked upon paths of cloud and jewels.

But in one area that was designated for court to take place among them the king of the sky sat upon his throne waiting for the next case to come.

Hoping that this one might not be so boring. Fortunately for him, he was about to receive that wish.

The doors were pushed open and in flew a goddess covered in rage and sorrow.

Sera

Sera looked up at the king with an expression she hoped that would show her pride on her sleeve.

Sera: King of the gods, sovereign over the kingdom of Olympus, and father to all I beg of you for a favor.

Sera: The king of Ithaca, the man called Adam, he is imprisoned on the island which houses the same prisoner the titan goddess Lilith.

Satan: And?

Sera: And I wish for you to release him.

Satan: ……Release him…..release a man whom shame covers his person like cloth. A man whom has caused more bloodshed than that of even the might of us. Someone who deserves no mercy whatsoever…..yet you wish to let him go?

Sera: Yes, he does not deserve the fate he has been given.

Satan: I see……you know this might actually be an interesting question of if I should let him go or not. And I wish to see where it shall take us. How about a wager?

Sera: Wager?

Satan nodded: If you can convince the jury of my choosing, all of them, then I shall let Adam go.

Sera: Who is this jury?

Suddenly there was Peter lounging in front of Sera strumming his lyre looking rather bored.

Peter: He had slaughtered the sirens after they had given him helpful advice.

Thankfully Sera watched what Adam went through ever since she had left him.

Sera: They were planning on killing him and now the other sirens will think twice before trying to tempt sailors to their watery doom.

Peter: If that’s the case then release him.

He went away and was replaced by Ozzie who looked firm in his convictions.

Ozzie: Adam sacrificed his crew instead of taking the blame as a leader.

Sera: He warned them to not kill the cattle and they acted without his blessing.

Ozzie: Release him.

Suddenly he was gone and Stolas was there looking seductive.

Stolas: His desire to spill blood caused his mother to die.

Sera: He couldn’t help his obligations to fight for love.

Stolas: He could have found a way out of this.

Sera: Please listen to me.

Suddenly Stolas was joined by his lover, Blitzø.

Blitzø: Adam was a coward using that horse instead of fighting honorably and he passed his cowardice onto his son.

Sera: Hold your tongue, I know that if he is released his wrath will be legendary. He will kill more to get home.

Blitzø smirked at the thought of Adam finally unleashing his warrior’s strength.

Stolas and Blitzø: Release him.

They were replaced by Bel.

Bel: Convince me.

Sera: He is brave and smart…

Bel: Boring.

Sera: He never cheated on his wife.

Bel then glared up at Satan so he could see her in the eyes.

Bel: Release him.

Satan: HOW DARE YOU BEAT ME AT MY OWN GAME!!!

Sera flew at Satan ready to fight him even though he was much stronger than her.

Sera: Please release him.

A sad look crossed Satan’s eyes because his wrath hurt Sera.

Satan: Release him.

Now Sera had to go to Lucifer to make a deal with him because he would be able to help Adam.

She’s trying to reestablish the dynamic they had in season one where they were enemies because of their roles in the war (Katara: protector of the Avatar, Zuko: hunter of the Avatar). That’s a time when things between them weren’t complicated and she didn’t feel as strongly about him as she does now. But she can’t. It’s personal now and it’s really not about Aang. Because, quite literally the next day, Zuko and Aang go off alone with absolutely no pushback from her. She makes a few snarky comments about Zuko’s bending, but she’s not even a little bit worried about how this is the perfect rouse to get Aang alone and harm/capture him.

Aang was the externalization of Katara’s hope, but in the crystal catacombs, that hope began to shift to Zuko. Him siding with Azula and then Aang subsequently dying was a representation of Katara’s hope in both of them being shattered. She brings Aang back to life, but he can’t access the Avatar State (what her hope really resides in). And then Zuko comes back too. This time he is changed, he is better, he is doing everything she hoped for in Ba Sing Se. But, it’s too painful to think about because of the betrayal, thinking that she wasn’t enough to convince him to stay (abandonment issues rearing it’s head) and so she clings to anger and pushing him away so that she doesn’t get hurt again.

Abel sighed as he got back on his ship. It had been twenty years since the war against Troy and no one had seen his father. Abel’s father was the King of an island called Ithaca named Adam. He never really knew his father because he was a baby when he left for war. But the Queen and Abel’s mother, Eve, told him that he was a brave, clever, cunning, handsome, strong, and loving man. She bragged about how Adam could string a bow that was impossible for others and shoot an arrow through twelve axe heads.

Abel: Dad, mom really believes that you are alive and I hope that she is right. We could really use your help.

When the war had ended ten years ago and Adam hadn’t returned home, many believed that he died on the journey home along with the soldiers who went with him. Suitors from all around descended upon the castle hoping to woo Eve. But Eve was convinced Adam was alive and would come back to her. But they refused to leave and demanded that she remarry. In spite of everything, Eve never lost faith in the man she fell in love with and married.

Ten years ago…

It was sweltering inside of the large wooden horse, but if things went the way they were supposed to, they would soon be in Troy. Adam had been given this idea to sneak soldiers into Troy through a large wooden horse that was disguised as a blessing to the gods from his patron goddess, Sera. He was honestly surprised that Sera came up with a plan so bold and sacrilegious. But Sera always thought like him. The plan worked and the horse Adam and some soldiers were in was taken into Troy. Everyone threw a celebration thinking they won the war.

Emily: Are they all asleep.

Lute: Quiet or they may hear us.

Adam: They are probably too drunk to notice.

Adam opened the hatch and he got out with Sera and Emily following him as they made it to the gates. Adam opened and the armies were waiting. Adam would be forever haunted by what happened that night, but he would do it all again if it meant he could go home to his wife and son.

Adam: Lute! Emily!

Lute: Yes sir?

Adam: Go and find Anthony and carefully escort him out the city. Be sure to use the safest route there is.

Anthony, the reason why the war started in the first place, the Queen of Sparta had been cruelly taken against his will by one of the three princes of Troy and it was up to Adam and his soldiers to rescue and get him back to his husband.

He had no doubts that it would finally happen tonight.

Lute: Yes sir!

Emily: You can count on us sir!

Adam nodded before turning to look around at his other soldiers, mostly women with hearts made for battle, and he knew one word on his mind to tell them.

Adam: Attack.

And they were soon thrusted into battle, fighting and killing their way through the city, slaughtering any soldier that came into their field of vision.

But the battle was going good for them, better than good when a goddess was on their side.

They were so close to victory, so close to the freedom of war being over, it right at the tip of their tongues-

A blinding flash of light made Adam scream and drop his weapon as searing pain coursed through his torso.

He quickly checked to find blood from an open wound but found nothing.

Adam: W, What was that?

Adam froze in fear, that was the King of the Gods. He had remained neutral in this war and Adam didn’t know why he was hearing this. Just then he saw flashes of Eve and Abel being cut down as he cried out unable to help. He hadn’t see his son ever since he was a baby and he would now be ten years old.

Adam: How can I make this stop?

King of the Gods: Up in the tower is the one who will kill you and your family. You must go up there and end him.

Adam ran as fast as he could up the tower tears blinding his eyes. He thought of Eve, the woman he fell in love with while others wanted Anthony. Them meeting under the olive tree that he would carve into their wedding bed, the castle he had built around it because he didn’t want to uproot the tree. Their wedding night, Eve being pregnant with Abel. He stood in front of the door gasping.

King of the Gods: Behind that door is what will become your darkest nightmares, end it now.

Adam broke down the door and he was confused expecting to see a warrior ready to maim and kill, but all he saw was a crib. He walked over and was shocked to see a sleeping baby. This was the son of the eldest Prince of Troy, who had died in battle.

Adam: I can’t do this, he is an innocent baby. Let me take him home and raise him.

But he wasn’t allowed that, he was tormented by visions of the baby growing up in his home. But as he grew up and found the truth, darkness took root in his heart and he slaughtered the entire royal family of Ithaca before having the place burned.

Adam: NOOOOO!!!!

King of the Gods: Then you know what you must do.

Adam gathered the baby in his arms and walked out of to the balcony seeing the city burn. Screams filling the night all because of the selfish desires of one prince.

Adam: I am so sorry, but I’m just a man.

He closed his eyes as he dropped the baby off the edge of the balcony.

The next day…

Thankfully Husk found Anthony and the royal couple were happily reunited ready to return to Sparta.

Husk: Adam, thank you for helping me get my husband back to me.

Adam: Of course, I know you would do anything if the same happened to Eve.

Husk: Of course.

Anthony: Tell Eve, I would like to see her again. It’s been too long since I saw her.

With that everyone prepared to set sail, that night weighing heavy on Adam’s mind. But he couldn’t let that drag him down because soon he would be home. He just realize that it would take him another ten years to get there.

The first few weeks of sailing went about as smooth as a stream, nice and clean with zero problems.

It wouldn’t be too long now until they made it back to Ithica, Adam knew that.

If he remembered correctly it was about a month of sailing until they reached the kingdom of Troy when they first took off for war.

So it would make sense that it would be the same for the way home.

Speaking of home all the soldiers were celebrating vibrantly as they took pride in knowing they finally at long last won the war.

They all felt in their bones that only two ways for them to continue on in this.

They either would die on the battlefield or win the war and go home, luckily for them it was the latter.

So because of their survival and the fact that they would soon be back in their kingdom they all celebrated through the one thing that made everything merry.

Wine

Rich, delicious wine that they stole from the Trojans. It was so good in fact that they would even call it Troy’s greatest treasure.

Lute: We should just raid the place and go.

Emily: We can’t treat everything like a war especially with what happened in the last war. Not everyone is an enemy.

Adam: Emily is right, she will go with me and we will see if there are people who can provide food.

Emily followed off the ship and Adam had bow and some arrows, Emily just had her spear at hand.

Emily: You seem troubled my friend.

Adam: I have a lot on my mind.

Adam was thinking of the war and all of its horrors and getting home. He could sleep easier in Eve’s arms. Maybe he could soon sleep without hearing screams.

Emily: The war is over, you can relax now. We will be home soon, but for now we can greet the world with open arms.

Suddenly Adam heard movement in the bushes and aimed his bow. It wasn’t prized bow that only he could use, but it would get the job done even if it wasn’t as powerful. Just then a little creature munching on a lotus flower tumbled out of the bush.

Adam: What are you?

Emily: I think that could be a winion who work for the wind god and they are eating lotus flowers that can effect you in different ways like making you extremely euphoric and forget things. Why don’t you put that away and I will try something.

Adam put away his bow as Emily knelt in front of the winion.

Emily: Hello friend, we are travelers looking for food. Do you know where we can find some.

Winion: A cave filled with sheep and cheese.

Emily: Wonderful.

Adam and Emily then left to get some people to gather food.

Winion: Scary cave.

It didn’t take long to find the cave. There was nice fat sheep, lovely wheels of cheese, and some other types of food. Adam aimed an arrow and shot one of the sheep which fell over dead.

Lute: Good shot sir.

Adam: Thank you.

Just then they heard a scream of horror. There was a woman with one eye that was the height of two of Adam which was impressive since he was already a very tall man kneeling in front of the dead sheep.

Niffty: WHO KILLED MY FAVORITE SHEEP!!!

Uh oh…….

Nifty: Oh……Oh Billy………you poor little thing.

The tall creature sniffled, water falling out of her one eye as she picked up the sheep and held it against her body.

All the soldiers kept quiet as they tried their best to move away from her and out the exit.

Unfortunately for them it wouldn’t be too easy.

Nifty: You killed him…….you killed my friend……..what gives you the damn right to commit such an act….?

Her large red eye was now directed onto them the soldiers as she glared in pure anger.

Her sorrow deep and cut as she wished them all dead.

Nifty: Who even are you?! Why are you here?!

Adam: Please forgive us! We had no idea this cave was somebody’s home we just wished to find food and possible shelter-

Nifty: How dare you! HOW DARE YOU ALL!!! You come into my home thinking you can kill such an innocent creature!?

Adam: We were simply hungry-

Niffty: What do you have that would make up for my loss.

Adam: This wine good enough for the gods.

Adam motioned to Lute who handed him the wine skin. Adam opened it and snuck in some lotus flowers petals, he was sure that this euphoric state could also put someone to sleep.

Adam: Here.

Niffty: What is your name, mine is Niffty. I think it’s fair to know your name as well.

Adam: My name is Nobody.

Niffty: Nobody?

Everyone looked so confused.

Adam: Yes, Nobody.

Niffty then gulped down the wine.

Niffty: That was so good, Nobody. For that you will be the only one I kill.

Adam froze in horror until Niffty fell asleep. The group ran to the cave entrance. But it was blocked by a boulder.

Lute: FUCK!!!

Emily: What do we do?

Adam: I have an idea.

They started to work on a log, sharpening the end. They would drive it into Niffty’s eye, the horror at everything being dark would make her open the cave not realizing she was blind. It worked too well because when Niffty grabbed the boulder, she threw it hoping to kill a soldier and it only killed one, Emily.

Niffty: Help me, I have been blinded by Nobody.

By her call went unanswered as the soldiers started to escape.

Adam was the last to leave, but not before turning back to stare so with despair at the bloodied body of Emily.

Her eyes wide open as they were frozen in a state of pure terror.

Adam felt his throat go tight as he tried not to sob right then and there.

Adam: I’m so sorry…..

He quietly said to her before turning to the other soldiers and leaving.

As they got to the shoreline they saw the cyclops called Nifty was fully out of her cave and was crying and screaming in agonizing pain.

She cried for help, so desperate for help that she didn’t care of who answered.

Adam wondered if that’s how Emily felt in her final moments.

Turning back to face where Nifty was he called out to her,

Adam: Hey cyclops!

Even though she had no eyes she somehow managed to turn towards his direction.

Adam turned to glare at Sera as tears fell from his eyes.

Adam: Where you when Emily was killed? Better yet, where were you when the King of the Gods tortured me with visions of the future until I killed a baby? I was told gods were very powerful and wise, but it was interference from the gods that caused this war.

Sera looked hurt, but she was too proud to admit that she was wrong.

Adam: Do you have nothing else to say then I no longer need you. Go, I never want to see you again.

Adam turned away and a look of both anger and sadness crossed her face. She was going to tell Adam that Niffty was the favorite daughter of the sea god. But after what Adam said, she decided to let him figure it out on his own and left.

Many days later…

Adam didn’t understand it, but he was sure that he should have been home by now. During his journey he ran across the wind god who gave him a bag of powerful winds telling him not to open it. He was sure that no one but him had opened it.

Alastor: I found you.

Adam turned to see a man standing behind him that definitely wasn’t part of his crew. In one hand was a trident, this was Alastor the God of the Seas. Before Adam could say anything, Alastor slapped him hard enough to send him flying across the deck.

Adam: What was that for?

Alastor: The cyclops you blinded was my daughter.

Alastor strode over to Adam and grabbed him by the chin forcing him to look into his eyes.

Alastor: Beg for my forgiveness and I may spare everyone here.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I didn’t mean any harm, my soldiers were in danger and we were hungry. Please forgive me, do what you must to me, but don’t harm them.

Alastor let out a cruel laugh.

Alastor: We know you don’t truly mean that, you are a monster.

Suddenly Alastor was gone and Adam ran over to railing to see Alastor standing on the ocean. Adam screamed as Alastor summoned a storm sinking all but the ship that Adam was on.

Alastor: You went to Troy with six hundred soldiers and now now there are only forty-three left under your command.

Alastor gave Adam a mocking bow.

Alastor: Do you have any last words?

Adam: ……….

Alastor: What was that my boy? I don’t think I quite heard you.

Adam: …….A, All I……

Alastor: Yes? Come on, you were quite chatty when you blinded my daughter. Where is that boisterous pride in your voice now?! Come now SPEAK!

Adam looked up at him with red tinged eyes and a smile that unsettled the sea king.

Adam: ALL I HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THIS BAG!

Alastor gasped as a powerful gust of air suddenly surged forward pushing him down.

When he got up again he found Adam’s ship missing from view.

He growled low and deep and slammed the base of his trident onto the ocean floor.

Lute: Sir, and island ahead.

Adam ran out and saw a lush island with a castle on a hill. He wondered who lived there.

Adam: Lute, I am sending you out with a group to scout the place.

Lute: Yes sir.

Lute left and Adam sighed, he felt so lonely without Sera there to give him advice. But his pride refused to let him call out for help. So he went to take a nap where he dreamed. In his dream he was in bed with Eve.

Eve: Adam, my love, I have missed you so much.

Eve glowed with love and beauty that Adam was so enchanted by. But suddenly there loud pounding at the door and men demanding access to her. The door came down and men hidden by shadows came in pulling a crying Eve out of the bed as Adam was helpless to stop it.

Lute: ADAM!!!

Adam jolted up in his ship, he was surprised, Lute rarely called him Adam. He ran out to see a frantic Lute.

Adam: What happened?

Lute: That castle on the hill is the residence of a sorcerer. He invited us inside, but I stayed outside because I was suspicious. He gave them lots of food, but then it started to happen. They started to transform.

Adam: What were they turned into? Pigs?

Lute: No, they were all turned into ducks.

Adam: ……What?

Lute: I wish I could make this up but I’m not, he turned them into ducks, round them all up, then took them away. No doubt to cook them up for his next meal

Adam: I see, well then we have no time to lose we must make haste if we want to save them.

Adam took the forward steps to leave but was grabbed by Lute, preventing him from doing so.

Looking back at her he was faced with a complex and worried expression from her.

Adam: Lute? What’s wrong?

Lute: Sir, let’s just go.

Adam: Excuse me?

Lute sighed as she softly shook her head: Sir, Adam, we have lost so many already, so many of our friends. We can’t risk anymore deaths.

Adam: And so that means abandoning more soldiers to die?

Lute: If it means our remaining members alongside us survive then yes!

Fizzarolli: Whoah, you aren’t just going in there without a plan? If you do that you will be a duck too.

Fizzarolli was a trickster and messenger god. Sera feeling some remorse asked him to help Adam if he saw the king, she didn’t realize how desperate things were for Adam, but she knew he needed help.

Adam: What should I do since I don’t want to go around quacking and covered in feathers.

Fizzarolli pulled out a root plant.

Fizzarolli: This is moly, humans can’t harvest it, but for a god it’s really easy. Just eat it and you will be immune to Lucifer’s magic.

Adam realized that he didn’t know the sorcerer’s name, there was something about the name Lucifer that stirred a feeling in Adam that only Eve could do. Adam quickly grabbed the root and ate it.

In Lucifer’s castle…

Lucifer was lounging with one of his ducks softly petting the feathers.

Lucifer: I know that this form scares you now, but you will grow to love it. Others have.

The doors opened and Lucifer sat up straightening his deep red robes. Standing there was a man, a very handsome man.

Adam: Are you the sorcerer Lucifer?

Lucifer: Depends on why you have come here.

Adam: I am King Adam of Ithaca and you have turned my soldiers into ducks. I came here to demand you turn them back.

Lucifer: We can talk it over a nice goblet of wine.

Lucifer handed Adam a glass of wine with his magic. It was a shame that Adam had to be turned into a duck, but he had no other choice. Adam drank the entire glass, but he wasn’t turning into a duck.

But that……..wasn’t he supposed to….

Lucifer shook his head, trying not to get ahead of himself.

Believing his magic was simply taking its time he decided to simply wait as he made conversation.

Lucifer: So, what brings you to my little corner of the world?

Adam: Me and my crew mates simply came here to evade a king.

Lucifer: War is it?

Adam: Sort of…..

Lucifer: Well if you have troubles you wish to release to me, I’m all ears.~

He smiled at him charmingly as he fully lounged in his chair.

Hoping to make himself seductive for the man in front of him.

Not to actually bed him, but it would be easier to subdue one completely enamored with him as he fell for his charms.

Adam: I just want to go home, but something happened making it impossible.

Lucifer: My poor sweet king, tell me all about it.

Adam: From a young age I was King of the island of Ithaca because my father was sickly. When Anthony of Sparta came of age suitors came from all over Greece to seek his hand. I came, but for another purpose. I came to seek the hand of his cousin, Eve. We fell in love and I wanted to make her my Queen.

Lucifer: Did you?

Adam: Yes, I built her a home and we have a son, Abel. But Anthony was taken from his home and husband, so we had to go to war to get him back. The war lasted ten years and I am on my journey home.

Lucifer listened to Adam talk more about himself and his wife, he couldn’t help but loving both. But he was stuck here for angering the gods.

Lucifer: I will help you get home and turn your soldiers back to their original form.

Adam: You will?

Lucifer: Yes, the only way to find a route home is to go to the prophet, Zestiel. He resides in the Underworld because he has been dead for many years. But I know you are clever enough and brave enough for this task.

Adam: Thank you.

Adam and Lucifer were both surprised when Adam kissed Lucifer on the lips.

One would think that with a frame built like his, with a past of war and cruelty, the man before him wouldn’t know anything about the true pleasures of a soft kiss.

Lucifer wouldn’t lie, it actually made something tighten and clench down below.

When Adam at long last let go stared at Lucifer with so much appreciation and gratitude.

Adam: I may be a simple man, I have no riches to give you as of this moment, nor do I have anything of value on me, if we were in my kingdom I would have granted you a life time of gold and happiness…..I suppose though that even all the gold in a mortal’s kingdom is mere trinkets to an immortal.

Lucifer: Adam, I can tell you where the closest cave to the Underworld is, but the rest is up to you.

Adam: Thank you.

They shared one more kiss before Adam got back onto the ship.

Adam: To the Underworld.

It took nearly a year, but they finally made it. Once inside they went down and found themselves in the River of Styx. They heard cries from the dead, but one haunted Adam the most.

Emily: Greet the world with open arms.

Adam: Emily, I am so sorry.

Lute: Sir, it wasn’t your fault and I know Emily would feel the same way.

???: 🎶Waiting, waiting, I’m waiting for my son to come home.🎶

Adam broke down sobbing hearing that, that was his mother singing about waiting for him to come home. Adam’s mother was alive when he left, but she died recently because it was assumed that he died at sea. Only Eve held onto hope that he would soon return.

Adam: I am so sorry mom.

Once the ship docked, Adam got out and made his way through the shadows until he saw the shade he was looking for.

Zestiel: Welcome King of Ithaca.

Adam: Zestiel, I am here begging to find a way home.

Zestiel: The passage to Ithaca is drenched in blood, you must be willing to become a monster to go home.

Adam: I don’t care, I will kill anyone who gets between me and my family.

Zestiel saw things like Adam sacrificing his crew, attacking a god, and slaughtering the men that invaded his castle. He knew Adam had it in him to do this, but he wasn’t ready to know this, for now he would leave Adam in ignorant bliss.

Adam: I will become the monster.

Adam’s eyes were dull and filled with little life as he stared out the vast sea before him.

It was a rather lovely day, there were no clouds in the sky, the sun was shining which caused the water to glisten like sapphires.

It was beautiful yes, but when one spends so long here, and faced the true horrors underneath all Adam saw when he looked at it was a watery grave.

One wrong turn or move and it was over, he would be turned into a corpse along with his girls and they’d be sent to Hades faster than one would be able to blink.

Adam sighed as he leaned against the ships railing, placing his head into his folded arms and trying to keep himself from completely losing himself.

What was he to do….?

What was he meant to do?

What was he going to do?

How was he going to be the one to get himself and his crew home when he didn’t even know of where to start?

He felt hopeless and useless, Zestial told him of how becoming a monster was the only true way to get back to his wife and son but how exactly would that happen?

And to who….?

Lute: Sirens, they took on the form of the Queen and for some reason they took on the form of that sorcerer.

Adam blushed, they must have figured out his love for Eve and he didn’t know what he had going on with Lucifer right now.

Adam: We need to get wax in our ears, I will deal with them. I can read their lips and figure out what they are saying.

They did just that and Adam went up to the railing. As Lute said, there were a pair of sirens who took on the forms is Eve and Lucifer. They were holding out their arms to Adam and singing. A sirens song could drive one to madness and make a man jump in the water where he would drown. But with the wax in his ears he was immune, he knew they were begging Adam to jump into the water so they could take away his suffering.

Adam: Oh Eve, you know I am too shy and frightened. I can’t swim.

Adam had to keep himself from rolling his eyes. Being raised on an island had him learn to swim at a young age. The sirens kept begging him to jump into the water.

Adam: I have a tiny request before I jump in. Say I am trying to avoid the god, Alastor, where would I go to find the fastest route to Ithaca?

They told him that it would be through the lair of Leviathan because Alastor was too afraid to go there.

Adam: Leviathan demands a cost.

Adam would have to sacrifice six members of his crew to Leviathan for safe passage. This is what Zestiel meant by becoming a monster. Adam hated that he would have to do that, but he had no other choice. He was also going to have to deal with the sirens so they didn’t attack others. He grabbed his hidden bow and arrows before he started to shoot at them.

The one disguised as his queen screamed in agony as it hit her right in the eye.

Adam: LETS CUT THIS CHARADE YOU ARE NO LOVE OF MINE!

Seeing his injured friend the other siren grabbed onto her and dragged them behind the rock.

Adam: I know you, I know what you are and you will not be taking any of our lives today, siren!

A loud hiss echoed into the air as the once beautiful Queen of Ithica was now in her true form.

Long hair that was white as the clouds, skin as pink as coral, and once lustful yellow, red eyes that were now staring in pure rage at the king.

Adam glared right back: There are things you should know siren, I am in no way afraid of the water, my wife knows of this, and Lucifer is in no way our lover.

Though he wishes it was true.

Adam: Oh and there’s one more thing you should know.

Verosika: WHAT?!

Adam: While you were trying so hard to turn me and my crew into snacks,

Verosika yelped as rope was lassoed around her neck and was soon dragged onto the boat.

Adam: You didn’t notice that your friends got snatched!

Verosika: W, What?!

She tried to jump forward and attack him but unfortunately Lute got the better hand on her and quickly forced her down and tied her up.

Just as the rest of the crew did the same.

The soldiers: Yes sir.

Screams of the sirens filled the air as their tails cut off and they were thrown back into the ocean.

Adam: We are going to the lair of Leviathan.

It didn’t take long before they were in the lair of Leviathan. Adam then noticed that Lute looked nervous.

Adam: What is it Lute, you look worried.

Lute: If it wasn’t for me we would have been home sooner, I am so sorry.

Adam: What are you talking about?

Lute: When we so close to Ithaca curiosity got the better of me and I opened the bag of wind while you slept.

Lute expected Adam to scream at her, but he had an expressionless look on his face.

Adam: Pass out six torches.

Lute nodded and started to hand them out and something approached the ship. A two headed woman rose out of the water. One head was a beautiful human like head and the other was like a sea serpent.

Adam: ROW FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

As the rowed through the lair Leviathan attacked. To Lute’s horror she noticed that Leviathan was only eating soldiers that were holding torches and Adam knew that this would happen.

Leviathan: We are the same you and I, King of Ithaca.

Once six soldiers were dead, Leviathan left and the ship could leave.

Lute: How could you sacrifice six soldiers, we trusted you?

Lute: How could you do this to us?! How could you betray us?!

Adam didn’t say anything as his eyes stayed firmly on the ocean before him.

Lute: SAY SOMETHING!!!!

Adam: I CAN’T!!!

He screamed right back staring at her with a gaze that sent a chill down her spine.

In that moment she felt something shift, something cold and hot fueling her as she was now looking at her captain with a gaze she never delivered before.

Lute: Then I am afraid you have forced my hand.

In the blink of an eye she unsheathed her sword and pointed it towards her king.

Adam: What do you think you’re doing Lute!?

Lute: What’s right! You miss your wife so bad you’d trade the lives of your own crew!

She unsheathed her sword ready to fight her captain and king in order to protect everyone else on the boat. Adam unsheathed his and they clashed. Both were great fighters, but Adam would have one if someone hadn’t snuck up behind him and stabbed him. The ship erupted in chaos as Lute ran over to Adam as he blacked out.

Hours later…

Adam woke up feeling groggy, his wound was treated and bandaged. He was also chained to a tree on an island.

Adam: Where are we?

Lute: We found this island filled with cattle and a statue of one of the sun gods.

Adam gasped seeing the statue, it was the sun god who was Lucifer’s father. He was not just a god, but a powerful titan.

Adam: Please tell me you aren’t thinking of killing some of the cattle.

Lute: We are starving and desperate.

Adam: That isn’t going to make the punishment we receive worth it.

Lute said nothing and approached one of the cows. Adam strained against the chains and with a strength he didn’t know that he had, they started to break. But it wasn’t enough, Lute used her sword to behead one of the cows. Adam ran over and grabbed Lute as the sky went dark.

Adam: WE NEED TO GO NOW WHO KNOWS WHO THEY WILL SEND!!!

It didn’t matter that they got onto the boat and onto the sea once lightning filled the sky.

Adam: It’s too late, we’re doomed.

“You know, they say that pride is a damsel in distress.”

The clouds parted and everyone gasped upon seeing none other than the king of the gods himself.

Satan……

Satan: Pride can act all fluttery and scared just like a helpless damsel when it is in front of the most powerful of beings. And I being who I am? Well let’s say that makes all of you none too brave now in my presence.

He grinned down on all of them as if he were a wolf that had found a herd of sheep.

For that was what they were, prey.

No longer the bloodthirsty beasts that could trample on anything that got in their way.

They have now been reduced to shaking, frightened little sheep that knew they would be killed today in a thoughtless slaughter.

However, it wasn’t thoughtless, it was retaliation for going against the gods.

Satan: Well, well, well.~ If it isn’t the cute little king from Troy! My, my don’t you look like you’re in quite the predicament. Aren’t you?

Adam: M, M, My all powerful god I beg of you, mercy-

Satan: You must now choose.

Adam: Choose?

Satan: Someone has to die today. You or your crew?

Adam: Please don’t make me do this.

The crew thought that Adam would choose them until Satan made an illusion of Eve appear. Her gold hair shimmering, her freckles almost like stars, her silvery eyes glowed, and even the small gap in her front teeth was quite attractive.

Eve: I can take your suffering from you. Let me take your suffering from you.

The illusion of Eve went over to Adam and kissed him before disappearing. The crew knew their fate was sealed.

Lute: Sir?

Adam: I have to see her again.

Lute: But we’ll die.

Adam: I know.

Satan had a cruel smile knowing Adam made his choice. He started to use his powers to destroy the boat killing everyone on board except for Adam. Adam had passed out from shock and in the morning he washed up on an island. He was approached by a woman with very long blonde hair and violet eyes. She watched him sleep for a couple hours as he called out to Eve. Slowly he woke up.

Lilith: Morning sleepyhead.

Adam: Who are you, where am I?

Lilith: I am Lilith and this is my island. You talked in your sleep who is Eve?

Adam: She’s my wife.

But Lilith ignored him and dragged him off as she decided that he would be her lover even if she was already married.

Adam: Unhand me, I will kill you.

Lilith: Last time I checked goddesses can’t die.

Adam: Goddess?

Fear settled into him as she forced him to lay down and she used her powers to make him turned on before she took him as he silently cried. Adam would be stuck in this tropical hell for the next seven years.

(7 years later, present day)

The sun arose on the island of Ithica, day had once more come again for its people as many awoke to its light.

One of these people was none other than the Prince of Ithica himself the someday king Abel.

Light came onto his eyes causing them to open up, awakening him from his sleep.

He yawned tiredly as he sat up in his bed, turning to the open window he left out for the cool air to come in while he slept.

He sighed as he moved to get out of bed, once he was awake he could not go back to sleep until it was time for him to retire once more.

Donning a shawl to help him cover up he went out of his room and decided to take a morning bath.

Vincent: Boy, when is your tramp of a mother going to choose a new husband. Why don’t you open the doors of her chambers so we can have some fun.

Vincent was the leader of the suitors and the most bold of them. Only he would be vile enough to suggest Abel help them gain access to Eve so they could rape her.

Abel: Don’t you dare call my mother a tramp.

Suddenly they were surrounded by other men. The main ones Abel noticed were Valentino, a man who called himself Striker, and Andrealphus. There were others, but those were Vincent’s cronies.

Vincent: I just did, what are you going to do about it?

The crowd chanted for a fight to begin as they mockingly called Abel little wolf. One of the names Adam was called was the Wolf of Ithaca because he was ferocious and cunning in battle. It seemed like they called him that because they were implying he was nothing like his father. Not even like his own mother who was also a warrior in her own right because she was of Sparta like Anthony. The fight started and things weren’t going well for Abel when time stopped.

Sera: Need some help?

Abel: What’s going on here? Why is a goddess helping me.

Sera: I suggest you fight instead of just standing there. Uppercut him now.

Time went back to normal and Abel gave Vincent an uppercut making him fall. Abel then ran to the balcony where Sera was standing.

Abel: Why did you help me?

Sera: I helped your father and I wanted to help you too because you are a good man. Where is your father?

Abel: He never came back.

Sera: What?

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera was surprised that Adam was now calling out for help.

Sera: Your father needs me.

Abel gasped and in the next moment she was gone.

He……he was alive……?

He was alive……

He was alive.

He was alive!

HIS FATHER WAS ALIVE!

Abel: MY FATHER IS COMING HOME!!

He danced in joy on the balcony, tears of pure happiness flowing freely down his cheeks.

He held himself as he now knew the truth that everyone else refused to believe.

His father was alive and would resume his role as king.

He and his mother were safe!

Eve was working tirelessly at her loom when Abel ran in. The old dog Argos looked up hopefully wanting it to be the King returning home, but it wasn’t. So he looked down sadly still waiting like he had been for the last twenty years.

Eve: Son, what is it?

Abel: Mother, you were right, father is alive. I received a visit from the goddess Sera herself and suddenly she said that father needed her before she left. Father will soon be home.

Eve wept with joy as she looked upon the unstrung bow hanging on the wall. She knew Adam was alive and he was trying to find a way home. He would come home, get rid of the vile suitors, and they could be a family again.

Eve: I knew he was alive, he promised me that he would come home no matter what. You must be prepared, find allies and take my spear.

Abel: Of course mother.

On the island of Lilith…

Adam kept crying out for Sera hoping she would save him, but so far she hadn’t come. Did she truly turn her back on him? It had been seven years of being drugged by Lilith so she could have her way with him and he wouldn’t cry for his family. Seven years of being raped by a goddess.

Adam: Sera, please I am so sorry. I just want to go home.

He stood on the edge of a cliff feeling like the only escape now was jumping. He had only gotten here because the drugs Lilith forced down his throat wore off and she had been busy elsewhere. Before he could fling himself off the cliff, Lilith grabbed him and started to drag him away so she could drug him and rape him again.

Adam: SERA!!!

Sera watched in horror over what happened to Adam ever since she had turned her back on him. She didn’t think things would be this bad for him. She had to help him go home.

Sera: The only thing I can think of is to convince the other gods to release him and get the help of a certain sorcerer to help if the gods agree with me.

She wasn’t happy with having to go to the gods, but she had no other choice.
