The evolution of our styling sketches.

Getting scanned and reverse engineered to get the 3D printed shell last week. Today is the last day of the Degree Show on campus, but you could still catch us in Yodex at WTC Taipei, and we'll be sure to put the model on display by then.

Updated styling sketches.

This was approximately one month ago. Started from the bottom of the clay modeling process. With Nova's help, we get to CNC the foam and later CNC the clay for our basic form. This is the clay packing process before the second CNC. As usual, 1 inch of clay is required.

Since we couldn't have an agreement on the design, we're back to the sketching board. Meanwhile a cooperation with Nova Design is being discussed. The picture below shows the latest packaging and styling decisions. 

Kitsune project wheel design second draft. Our vehicle did got larger a bit, so we went for the 6 bolt rims which we prefer to have 6 spokes. These renderings are the basic brushed metal look, which we will add amber colored graphics and more details to the chosen design to match our vehicle.

     The front fascia and rear end design development of the fourth proposal of the Kitsune project was being 2D rendered and 3D modeled at the same time to heat up the progress. The tinted A pillars came from the third proposal while the basic body size and graphics were still based on the second proposal. However the main shape of the vehicle went through a minor transformation so two major ideas for the running board came out. One shown on the front quarter proposal renderings while the other was shown below on the rear quarter renderings. 

     A prototype 3D model of the second proposal was built, but due to the not-so-appreciated boxy shape of the body, the future proposals will develop into a more sporty and streamline style.

The top picture shows the initial ideas of a third proposal based on the body style and graphics of the second proposal, while the second picture shows the vehicle packaging of the second proposal. A few design features were changed to adjust the proportions of the vehicle, and the current package matches the sketch shown on the right the most. More adjustments are made at the moment for different packaging with a different feeling.
