Yeah, you're right (reply to post) I never liked Allura, but I liked this season (Like the reasons I told you why) And, idk, people just like to take things out of proportions these days and we can't define or judge a character based on their race but who they are as a person. People need to understand, that while it is great, that there are more diverse characters, race is not what connects us together. So many people relate to Lance cuz he is insecure. Find those connections, not race u feel?
Yeah I agree. I actually think it’s good they don’t make a big deal out of race or gender or sexuality. It normalized it. It’s not made a big deal of because it isn’t a big deal. Pidge didn’t pose as a boy because girls couldn’t get in, she did it because she knew it would make her unrecognizable.
None of the characters get called out for their race because they’re just more people, more pilots, more students, more fighters. The only reason race counts is with the Galra because most of them are terrorizing the universe.
No one freaks or interrogated Shiro for being gay because at that point in the future, I bet half the fucking population was some form of LGBT.
And nothing that happens to the characters is reflective of the traits that make them a minority because those traits aren’t the sole defining factor. Personally, I found that refreshing. Especially since they were all heroes and main characters. Like, that’s pretty fucking huge.
