Current mood: taking a break from unpacking to read The October Country (because ‘tis the season, after all) and to watch my cat play in the empty boxes. Tomorrow, I’m planning on exploring a bit and would love to hear suggestions and your favourite places! I’m Olly, by the way. And no, my itinerary isn’t at all for procrastination purposes.

I can’t say I’ve heard of that one, it’s a novel, right? Okay, by far, Central Park is a great place to be. Lots of dogs to see if you’re into that. If not, check out Coral Street, they’ve got some brilliant coffee. Top notch, for sure. These are all Downtown, by the way. if you’re settled elsewhere, then I wouldn’t be too sure.

Well I guess we were all lazy at some point. I had a really good time but also I am glad being back around? I missed my house and my cat.

I can’t say I missed my cat since I don’t have one, but my friends sometimes call me ‘Kitty’ or ‘Kitten’, so, really, do I need one? Nah, I’m glad to be back either way. I can just take it easy for a while. Abstain from doing too much.

I did enjoy the cruise, yes. It was a very wild week. I didn’t make as many plans for it as I wish I would have, but I had fun all the same. How about you?

You say that, but your eardrums probably are a lot better off by just missing out on it. I wasn’t able to make it on the cruise, but I can guarantee that the next time karaoke is a thing in town, Eye of the Tiger will be performed for sure.

I’m willing to take that risk to see a memorable time. That’s a shame. I’ll be keeping tabs on the events, though, so I know when to bug you about it.

Now my daughter cries sometimes when I leave her. Wait you didn’t know your own name? That doesn’t make sense. When I was little I did. Then again my father was in the army so maybe I got my stubbornness from him. I wish my own mother was still alive so I could ask things like that.

I would just kind of sulk in my room and try to have as much fun as I could while they were gone. It got me in trouble too often. Nope, my parents named me Christopher but have always called me Kit as a shortened version. I didn’t find out until I was in the sixth grade, so. I know it was a while ago, but I’m very sorry to hear about you mum. 

Its the final night of the cruise so let’s go out with a bang. I’m going to be dancing the night away, so I wanna know who is going to join me?

Distract you? Um, I’m your bro-date, I don’t think you should even be paying attention to anything else. You should already be distracted by default.

My son used to do that but he eventually stopped. It was cute but then I’d feel bad about leaving him. I think every kid does that when it comes to their parents, they don’t want to feel left out. You were stubborn but I was too.

I don’t think my mum felt bad leaving me. She was like, ‘you know what? My kid’s being super annoying right now, I’m just gonna leave him.’ mum had a lot of secrets when I was younger. They weren’t, like, bad or anything, but I think I would’ve liked to know my own name before I turned 11. You were stubborn? Did you do the same thing, too?

I just don’t have time to waste like that. Plus it’s like you have to keep up with all the lies and that’s exhausting. You were meant to be a certain way so just embrace it and have a great time being yourself.

Good to hear, I’m glad you recovered. Might not have been a harmless recovery, but still. That’s true, there’s nothing nearly as thrilling. People can assume what they want.

So the kids are back in the room with a sitter. I decided to stop by the indoor pool for a few drinks. I know I can rock a bikini with the best of the young girls. I’d love to share a drink with someone.

I remember being that age, and my mum leaving to go do adult things. I’d harass her constantly about going with her because it sounded like fun. Now I know what those adults really do, and if I would have known, I never would’ve pestered about it. Do your kids give you any of that, or am I just a stubborn boy?

i don’t even know if i’m seasick or if i’m hungover or what is going on but either way, it was a fun pool party. 10/10 would go again. maybe just not drink as much. now, am i supposed to have a date to this gala thing? i’m i late on this? will i be the lonely freak? someone please go with me save my reputation it’s not very good as it is.

Probably both, which is a very, very bad mixture. Hope you’ll feel better soon. If you get queasy, you can always, you know. over the railing. I don’t know if you need a date, but I can be your bro-date for the evening. Or for the first two minutes.

Gaining a little bit is better than losing a bunch, right? I’m glad to hear you had a fun time. I really enjoyed the cruise so far, too, but I think I’m getting a bit of a cold.

It really is the real deal. I was innocent, but I guess public intoxication is a real thing. I feel like you should just be real because there are way too many fake people out there now a days.

The more you know. Exactly, there’s actually no point in being fake. You’re not only wasting other people’s time, but also yours. You’re just fine the way you are.
