Writing poetry has always been my passion as a child. At age 20, however, I let go of my passion for poetry to become a mother. I decided to faithfully devote my life rearing four beautiful children and life has been a bliss. However, after 21 years, when I thought I had everything figured out, I found myself in the most difficult time. My long lost passion has found me again and I cling to it for life. I hope my Haiku inspires you, if not, distracts you, when life throws you a curve ball.

A heart

Filled with sorrow

Bamboo

Aren’t you tired swaying

With every whim of the wind ?

Makes me envious

How the wilderness

Brings so much calm

Patches of clouds

In the sky

You and I

Pebbles

In the sand

Memories

In every tombstone

A heart

That loved

How peaceful

The sound

Of crashing waves

Out of the goodness

Of one’s heart -

Sufferings

Today, again, I got lost

The sight of my childhood home

my old self , a newfound peace

In my bare feet

Treading this familiar

Yet unknown path

a decade past

the eye of the storm

Is upon us

Treading

This familiar road

Only with bigger feet

Spring

the emptiness of the streets

On my bare feet

Spring time

a howling wind

shut the door

The world has become such a scary place that you don’t know what news of terror will you wake up to. May the light of peace shine upon us again .
